The Vine is a nice quiet place to dine and get very good food. They now have not only an Italian menu, but a Brazilian one too. I have tried the beef dish and pork dish on the Brazilian menu. My husband had their Lasagna. Both were very good. Wonderful flavors. The staff is excellent and friendly. They service is always good. We really enjoy our dining experience at The VIne Restaurant. They are not affiliated with the Falmouth Hotel nextdoor. Just a locally owned restuarant by very nice people. A warm and welcoming place to dine. read more

This place is advertised as an authentic Italian restaurant. We got there, only to find half the menu was replaced with Brazilian cuisine and it is not advertised on their website. On top of that, the food was the worst food I have ever eaten. The lasagna was a sliver and had dark red used cooking oil as a sauce(inedible) and a cheap extra cheesy Alfredo on the other side of the plate. That is not lasagna. The four cheese pasta with tomato didn't have tomato and was so plain that I couldn't even pass as edible on a kids meal. Another pasta dish with bacon came with the bacon bits completely burnt, it's all you could taste on the whole dish and the cheese was dry and coagulated rather than creamy like a sauce should be. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE! The food is so bad and it is clearly an Italian restaurant that was combined with a Brazilian kitchen and not advertised. And not a good one. Waste of time and money we went to casa Vallerta down the road instead because we were so hungry and didn't eat the slop this restaurant has to offer. read more

The Vine Restaurant is less a dining establishment and more a hostile takeover of your evening on Cape Cod. A thin, acrid mess that tasted like someone dumped a bottle of bargain-basement vinegar from Ocean State Job Lot on it and called it a day. As for the risotto? Calling it risotto is an insult to Italy, rice, and humanity itself. It was a chalky sludge that could probably be used to patch drywall. And the staff? Let's just say customer service is not high on their list of priorities. The waitresses--gum-smacking, eye-rolling, and barely pretending to care--seemed to actively resent our presence. Plates were slammed down with the kind of passive-aggressive flair that makes you wonder if the kitchen hates you, too. Spoiler alert: they do. But the true pièce de résistance? The atmosphere. If Matt Gaetz opened a restaurant in the ninth circle of hell, it would look and sound like this. The decor is aggressively hideous, like someone tried to channel "chic" and landed on "yard sale." And the soundscape? Oh, just the dulcet tones of Newsmax, blasted at a volume so deafening you couldn't ignore it if you tried--which you'll want to. There's nothing like eating bad food while being force-fed a soundtrack of right-wing hysteria. The Vine isn't just bad; it's offensively bad. It's the kind of place that makes you wonder if they're running some kind of elaborate social experiment to see how much abuse people will tolerate for a plate of overpriced slop. First time trying The Vine. The people were extremely nice, everyone from the hostess, to manager to bartender. The dining room is very calming and jazz band was playing. I was waiting for a friend so we decided to stay at the bar and eat. Very easy to have a conversion even with the jazz band playing. Some restaurants are so crazy loud you miss out on conversation, not here! I had the lobster ravioli. I liked that it was just lobster meat, it was not diluted with cheese. The lemon sauce was very nice and the plate was pretty with an edible purple flower in the center. If I'm being picky I like my pasta to be a little thinner but it didn't take away from the taste. Our server was Benjamin, who should be nominated for a "server of the year" award. His demeanor, attitude, and attentiveness were all superb! I want to preface this review by mentioning that my family and I recently visited Rome in April. During our trip, my kids were obsessed with pasta, so we've become quite familiar with authentic Italian cuisine. First off, the food at this restaurant was amazing. We ordered the veal saltimbocca, rigatoni cacio e pepe, kids' spaghetti, and carbonara. The portions were perfect, and the quality of the pasta, clearly made fresh that day, was the closest we've had to true Italian on the Cape. We've spent two months every summer on the Cape for many years and have never found anything better. You cannot go wrong by checking this place out. We visited on a Thursday night at 6 PM. The kids had just finished camp and wanted an early night before camp the next day. We had the restaurant to ourselves for almost 45 minutes before anyone else arrived. Initially, we were concerned, but when our caprese salad and bruschetta appetizers came out, we knew we had made a great choice. The wait staff was amazing, attentive, and knowledgeable. We can't wait to go back. Personally, the cacio e pepe was to die for, and I'm considering returning tomorrow for another serving! read more

We decided to try this restaurant mainly because of all the mixed reviews. Service was efficient and friendly. We were seated quickly and our server was polite and professional. We had the calamari as an appetizer, and it was just okay. For an entree I chose the fettuccini alla bolognese. It looked great, but something was missing in the flavor. It was leaning toward bland. My wife had the eggplant parm and said it was breaded too much. The sauce on the spaghetti (cooked perfectly) tasted like an inferior sauce from a jar. The berry lemonade was very good - carbonated! All in all the prices were too high for what was essentially an Olive Garden meal. The same money would be better spent at one of Falmouth's other Italian restaurants. This place certainly gets an A for effort, and we'll likely come back in a year or so to see if the food has improved. read more

In the planning stage they helped to create a limited menu based on their full restaurant menu, and they designed and printed out customized menus for the event. When we arrived for the dinner they had transformed the bar area into a beautiful dining setup. The bar and wait staff were accommodating and friendly, and the food was outstanding. My son's and I went there on a Saturday night. It was absolutely freezing in there. They sat us near a window that made it even colder. The hostess had her winter coat on all the time we were there. They said they would turn up the heat, which was nice. But it never warmed up I ordered the risotto with the shrimp, which was the most disgusting looking mosh the presentation was slop. If you are Italian, you know what risotto is supposed to be like this was soup and I tried the shrimp. It tasted like salty water. I sent it back immediately. My younger son got the lamb chops, which was passable. My other son got the chicken Parmesan honestly you could get better at a sub shop. My waiter did not know anything about sparkling water, which I ordered . After explaining to him that they did have it. I ordered it with lime. They came back with lemons. I asked for limes the second time and 15 minutes later they brought it to me. They said they cut it fresh how I don't know because it was brown and mush couldn't be used. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was the worst experience, food, and money. It certainly is not authentic Italian food. I don't know how it will remain open. Just keep in mind, especially if you Google the reviews start from the latest reviews and you will see. Because they only post the better ones. read more

Familty thought we would try Vine to see if we could expand our Itailian dining options in Falmouth. Where do I start? Our waitress (pretty sure she's been mentioned in another review) was MIA most of the meal (had to ask two other waitstaff for help). We had to ask for bread for the table (other tables had bread served soon after seating). We had to ask multiple times for water to be refilled. Other tables seemed to be much better served. Food: Wife ordered the chicken parmesan- The chicken was tasty, but the sauce for the spaghetti was bland- she also didn't think the pasta was "fresh home made", and the sauce seemed like it came from a can. Two of us ordered the Fettucine Bolognese- both agreed it was bland and not all that good, but we both agreed that the pasta was "fresh homemade". My daughter ordered the Lasagna- This was an odd dish. She expected a conventional pieces of lasagna, alternating layers of pasta, ricotta, and some meaty red sauce. She's still not sure what she got. It looked like lasagne, the piece was about three times longer than its width, but only three or four layers thick. The piece bisected the plate, and was served with Vine's version of (thin) bechamel sauce on one side of the lasagne, and some sort of (beef or veal?) reduction on the other side. The reduction was tasty, we all tried the bechamel sauce and none of us thought it was that good. I've seen it used before in the layers of the lasagne, not served on the side. We asked the waitress for more details on the reduction sauce, and why the sauces were there- she wasn't sure, but said she would ask. We never got our answer, as she never returned to the table with an explanation. Service: 2/10. They did not appear to be short-staffed (there were three waitresses for about eight tables). I think it was jjust our waitress. You shouldn't have to seek out attention from staff. Food: 3/10. None of us really enjoyed our meal. It was a disappointing visit. When I gave the 2 out of 5 stars on the Yelp review, the caption was "Could have been better". I would rephrase that to "Could have been a lot better". With several other great Italitan dining options in Falmouth, there is no need to visit this place again read more

This was our first visit, and my husband and I were very pleased. This new restaurant has been given a nice facelift with a warm ambiance. I enjoyed all the details in the decor and the jazz music made it feel hip and festive. I read someone else's review of the service and I have to say that there are people who actually enjoy complaining and will waste their time with negative energy to look for anything to complain about. Those types are never satisfied, and nothing makes them happy. I had absolutely ZERO complaints about the service! In fact, I found the service to be outstanding. We were able to be seated quickly in a comfortable booth. We were taken great care of during the entire time we were there. I ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, and my husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan we were both very pleased. Their Alfredo sauce was delicious, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the noodles were also excellent. My husband was very happy with the tenderness of the chicken. I am one of those types who doesn't mind paying more for really good food, because with too many of the Cape restaurants, you pay more money for very mediocre food. Our group of four enjoyed a lovely Italian dinner at The Vine on a Tuesday evening. My entree included shrimp and Calamari over linguine in a delicious white sauce. The owner and chef visited our table and chatted for a bit. He shared that they were launching a wine tasting event on Tuesday evenings which sounded like fun. First of all, the restaurant is lovely, clean and comfortable. There was a small light jazz group playing, and at least until before we left, the volume was perfect for enjoying our meal and talking. We started with the Caesar with homemade croutons, very good and traditional, and their Pizza with Burrata cheese and basil, which was excellent, the crust was that perfect combination of crispy and chewy, accompanied perfectly with their Rose by the glass. For our entrees we had their Salmon, which was cooked to perfection and served with a very tasteful lemon sauce (don't let the name of the sauce fool you, it's not sweet). We also had the Chicken Parmesan, and the chicken was as tender as can be, served with a great spaghetti in a flavorful marinara. And we had their Fettuccine Del Mar, which was fantastic. (I didn't notice that it was going to be served in a creamy sauce, and next time I'll ask for a red sauce) but the seafood was all perfectly cooked with the homemade pasta. We ended our meal with their, out of this world, Tiramisu, and their great pistachio flan. To top everything off, the service was very friendly and attentive. We couldn't have enjoyed our time at The Vine more, and I can't wait to go back there. It's now, hands down, my favorite Italian Restaurant in Falmouth. read more
