Bruschetta trio
Janet S.

New Italian restaurant in town with upgraded decor. The food was just mediocre- tomato sauce tasted like from a jar. Standard Italian fare such as chicken, eggplant or veal parmigiana and side of spaghetti reminded me of school cafeteria. Fine for those who like Americanized Italian. The bruschetta was decent. Service was good, no complaints there.

Enjoyed a late afternoon dinner, with delicious Osso Bucho served with Parmesan garlic risotto and a tasty Fettuccine bolognese. The restaurant offers a homemade fruit lemonade that is outstanding. Our server was Benjamin, who should be nominated for a "server of the year" award. His demeanor, attitude, and attentiveness were all superb! For group dining, the restaurant can accommodate seating for up to 16 people, with individual checks! Good news for local groups enjoying dine out gatherings.

We were here the first week they opened up, still working out the kinks but the servers were very sweet and the lobster ravioli was great and BYOB without a corkage fee is amazing

Very slow service. Not sure the food was worth the long wait. The band made conversation difficult. Get rid of the band and hire more staff.

Artisan bread with butter was very fresh and good too! For luncheon, she had the Caesar Salad and I the special of the day, the lobster BLT with a pasta salad on the side. Excellent, and fresh ingredients. Priced very nicely. Very clean establishment. Parking is downtown Falmouth, so, you know what you get. Staff were exceptionally nice and polite. No negatives whatsoever.

Kate ordered the fish and chips. The minestrone was out of this world. Mussels clams shrimp scallops and scrod. The broth was as exquisite. I rarely use that word, but that's what it was. Kate was and chips were outstanding! The fish had a light batter and was so fresh. Even the tater sauce was unique. I asked the waitress if he made it fresh this morning-"of course" she said, "He makes everything from scratch". House cut fries never hurt your feelings, when cooked to perfection. The prices were some of the most reasonable in all of Falmouth, when you consider that it's all made fresh. The two meals came in under $40 before beverages tax and tip. Please make it a point to enjoy lunch or dinner here when in Falmouth. This one is an 11 out of 10

This local restaurant in Falmouth seems very popular.we have eaten nearby a few times and the menu…read moreseemed good for our needs. It is a very quaint Italian decor to go with the menu. The owl wall art plays right into it name. Civetta is an owl and they had collected and framed many styles. We started with the summer salad, watercress, arugula, shaved Piave cheese, butter and lemon croutons, pickled summer squash, watermelon radish and tiny little sunflower seeds. These were far fresher and tastier than any others I have had. It had a nice simple salad dressing. Unfortunately my only complaint about the meal was that the bread entirely too plain and dry. Not toasted enough to enrich and yet not soft and fresh. My husband had the grilled octopus and he dared me attentive. The charring was good and gave it a better crisp bite. Served with cherry tomatoes and small toasted potatoes, also very good. I had the tagliolini ribbon pasta. With lobster and shrimp and a very light sauce of crushed roasted cherry tomatoes which went well together. There was enough lobster to remain the dominant flavor but the shrimp made it a mor affordable meatiness to it. I had the baci (chocolate and chopped hazelnut ) gelato and my husband had the stracciatella (Chocolate chip) gelato. We had some Prosecco with our meal, my husband the white and I had a sort of sweet pear rosé type. Our waiter was genuinely friendly and helpful and staff was well distributed through the room. It seems a lot of locals come as so many seemed well acquainted with staff.

This review is strictly for their event, space and event coordinator, Aja…read more I got married here on October 5, 2024 and the venue was nothing short of perfect. I had been working with Aja for about 10 months before my wedding and she had made the process as easy as it can possibly be. She assured me that her staff members were very professional and able to decorate the venue in a way I would love. I would recommend working with her again! We had our ceremony on the beach and it was set up like something out of a fairytale. We were blessed to have a beautiful day without any clouds in the sky, but even if it wasn't perfect weather, the ceremony was gorgeous either way. I am very meticulous and I did leave detailed instructions for her staff to follow and they followed it to an absolute t. I have confidence that even if I didn't leave instructions, the venue would've been set up nearly perfect. The food at our wedding was delicious, we had steak tips and chicken piccata. The appetizers were great, although I didn't get to try all of them because we had to take pictures. My only complaint is that I wasn't able to help set up the venue the night before my wedding. That would have eased a lot of my nerves, but nonetheless, her staff did a phenomenal job making the venue stunning!

Looked at many choices for our first night in Falmouth. This was a great choice! We didn't know…read moreit, but it was their first night re-opening too. We got both fresh offerings of oysters to start.- so good. For beverages, I had a Maine IPA & Kate had a pear pressure. We really enjoyed them both. Kate got the Seafood Pot Pie. The good news is we try each others meals. An absolute home run! The scrod, lobster, scallops and shrimp were perfect. Add in Newburg sauce asparagus and spinach, top it with a puff pastry to soak up the sauce-10 out of 10. There is a reason it's a house favorite. I had the baked seafood trio. Shrimp, scrod and scallops, with baked potato and asparagus. 2 u-15 shrimp, 3oz of fresh Chatham scrod and 3 local scallops, done in a lemon beurre blac. A small portion of each but delicious. The baked potato was just like you would hope. Asparagus was underdone, by our tastes, but not knocking the rating over that. Overall 8/10. Will try the blackened mahi mahi next visit. Kate's not budging from the seafood pot pie Our server Taryn was nice and busy. They have runners who are all over the place. Owner? out picking up plates and checking every time to make sure we were happy. Nearly half of my life was spent in the front of the house-that's how I treated every person I encountered in my establishments. This place was crazy busy. Every server, food runner, host etc had a genuine smile. Customers were happy, among them, many locals. Our take; if you are here for a few days or a while, make it a point to enjoy a meal here. Pretty confident you'll be happy you did.

In my experience one can tell a lot from a restaurant's name. With cliche names like "Quarterdeck," "Fisherman's Catch," etc. it's almost guaranteed to be average at best. I don't know why but it's usually true. I got a clam roll which turned out to be a mistake. I got it because I wanted a smaller portion than the platter. But the clams were oversized for a roll and too few in number so it was hard to eat. Good for a platter but for a roll, smaller clams and more of them would be better. But the clams though were fresh, cooked correctly, and the batter was decent, not outstanding. The roll was toasted and buttered, and a small lettuce leaf completed the sandwich. My biggest complaint was the tartar sauce, homemade, which was a disaster. Tasted of little more than plain mayonnaise. Unfortunately the fries were almost room temperature. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waitress came by and asked I told her. She apologized, took them away, and returned with a new platter of fries, a very large portion, and scaldingly hot. I was no longer so hungry but ate a good fraction of them, as leaving them after she brought a replacement just seemed rude. They weren't very good though; greasy and the oil didn't taste fresh. To drink I had a "mocktail" version of a Moscow Mule. It was way too sweet. Without the bite of alcohol it needed something else to tone down the sweetness. It wasn't cheap either. I should have just had a plain ginger ale. I would recommend trying someplace else instead. Lots of choices in the area.
