Long wait for food,but we had wine and bread. Fried calamari undercooked! Ordered Bolognese,absolutely tasteless! We kept putting salt on it,still no taste,very weird. So, I can't comment on the customer service or atmosphere, but I can definitely speak to the food--and let me tell you, it's rare that I finish a meal and wish I could still be eating it. This was my first time trying chicken Milanese, and I'd gladly return just for that dish. The nutty flavor of the arugula combined with the rich creaminess of Parmesan and the zesty lemony notes on the chicken cutlets was absolutely incredible. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned with a nice crispy texture--overall, I was thoroughly impressed. My fiancé went for the grilled ribeye, and you could really taste that it was grilled to perfection. The portion was huge, and it's a great value for what you get. Went tonight for the first time. Yes, I'm boring, so I ordered the veal parm. It was okay. Just okay. The marinara sauce had way too much of whatever herb mix they use. Way too much. We had dinner for four people at Siena. The overall experience was OK, but the prices were quite high and the quality of the food was mediocre. The bread was not fresh; the meatballs tasted as if they came out of a can or TV dinner. Although our waiter was very nice and helpful, there were many young people on the staff hastily walking back-and-forth and not giving way to customers. At one point, I was actually tripped by someone who walked too close behind me. Additionally, we had a gluten-sensitive diner on primary and ordered some gluten-free items, but one of the items came out with bread crumbs , which I caught and asked about, thankfully. Went in for a dinner with friends. The food was nothing special. The full meal portion was large but so was the price. The pasta was not fresh, and the sauce was Ragu style. This lovely little restaurant was a perfect spot to enjoy dinner on a work trip. The ambiance was very calm, dark, yet inviting. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I wanted to love this place, but sadly my entree lacked flavor and I had to add salt and pepper, which is not common for me to do. I had the Padre e Figlio which was Pappardelle pasta with mushrooms and garlic. The pasta appeared homemade and the ingredients were fresh- so I was thrown off by how bland it was. We had a work party here and I started with the Raspberry Lemon Drop for a drink and then just had them keep coming as it was delish. I then got the calamari for an app. It was fresh fried to perfections and not rubbery at all. My main course was the veal parm, this also was excellent. So much food that I was able to take half home and have later in the week. If your ever in Mashpee and are craving Italian this is the place to go. Food was pretty awful. Ambiance is nice and staff were nice as well. Got the Bruschetta as an appetizer which tasted fine, however was messy and none of the ingredients were especially high quality. Got the Tuscan Sausage pizza for dinner which makes this a low star review for me. The roasted garlic cloves were just too much and ruined any chance of flavor for me. Some slices were just missing half the ingredients all together, like just plain bread almost. It was also soggy and drooping. I understand it was a busy, but it honestly was a disappointing meal and I could keep listing more specific complaints about the pizza. However thank you to the staff for being nice, especially the server who could tell I wasn't very happy and still was nice to us. read more

The only reason for 2 is because of the young man in the bar who was SO helpful. In the past we normally just come in. He needs a raise. I called to see if you would honor a Mashpee commons gift card and he checked with the manager and said yes as long as it wasn't outdated. The card was from less than a year ago so we assumed it was a go! My husband went in to order and the man at the door took the to go order and said "No, it's not working. Go try the gift card at a store near by or something." I asked my husband to try the order with someone else because the man at the door didn't seem to know how to work the system. This ended up being well over an hour ordeal. The bartender did get the gift card to go through. But don't ask for any special requests! We asked for tomatoes on a pasta and the kitchen said they can't add tomatoes to a dish because they don't carry tomatoes (it's an Italian restaurant). The poor employee seemed embarrassed and when we got home we saw why. The mussels ordered for an appetizer had tomatoes sprinkled all over it. The BBQ chicken pizzas toppings were only on one side. Furthermore, it was implied that because it was a gift card the order wasn't very important... but some of the order was paid by us with tip as it was our anniversary. We normally spend our anniversary with you but probably not anymore. We go out like 2 times a year. A take out order took at least 1.5 hours because we had a gift card. We went here recently for our anniversary. The atmosphere was very nice and our waitress was amazing. So personable and very attentive. The food was just ok to me. I had halibut with farro and it was dry and boring. My husband had a bolognese and it was dry and boring. My daughters both had pasta with vodka sauce. They both liked theirs. This used to be a great place for pizza and entrees but over the past two years the prices have increased the quality of the pizza and entrees have been unacceptable. There are other restaurants in the area that are offering a diverse menu at favorable prices. Of course during the summer months the place is full of tourists due to outdoor dining. It was a cold evening over Christmas. My husband and I went with two friends. Indoors, the restaurant was nearly as cold as outside. I had to wear my parka. I almost asked for an outdoor heater. It wasn't just the temperature that was cold. The ambience was frigid. Not much effort went into making the place warm and cheery.....Then the food arrived and things got worse. I had a Ceasar's salad with shrimp added. It's a good thing I work out a lot because it took all my strength to slice the shrimp to eat. The romaine lettuce didn't seem fresh. My husband had mussels. Small, dry mussels. Have you ever had small, dried mussels? I didn't think so?... It must have been a few days old harvest. One of our guests ordered a side order of Brussel sprouts that arrived black. Brussel sprouts are most often green. I've never seen black Brussel sprouts. They tasted dry and crunchy. I wouldn't feed these things to my Golden. If you know Goldens, they love to eat.....The other guest enjoyed her hamburger in an Italian restaurant. We should have gone to a burger joint,... We were staying in nearby Cotuit and picked a random restaurant for dinner. We couldn't have made a better choice. Everything from the service, food, drinks, and atmosphere were fantastic. Jess and Ben were both very gracious and welcoming. The cocktail list was interesting and creative, and all of our food was delicious. My husband and I were recently in Cape Cod for a quick getaway but unfortunately a lot of things were closed now that summer is over. We found ourselves in a small shop area with some restaurants still open, one of which was Siena. The manager/front person who was an Indian man was pretty rude and terse but our waitress was nice and attentive. The food was also much better than we expected. We weren't super hungry so we just got a Cesar salad, meatballs and calamari, all of which were well made. The meatballs were especially good and surprising. I'd recommend whoever it was who led us to our table get a better attitude though. read more

I stopped in for an early supper after shopping at Mashpee Commons. Today is my last day here and I've been having mostly seafood all week. I have been here a handful of times over the year and have never been disappointed, but it is never a restaurant that I think to visit. We went for lunch because we had a gift card. It was surprisingly busy, but there was no wait. We were seated at a comfy, large booth. Our server came over quickly with waters and told us he would be with us in a few minutes. He was efficient and polite, but not necessarily friendly. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which was a very large portion! The two of us didn't come close to finishing it. I suggest ordering it for 3 or more people to share. My favorite part was the crispy banana peppers mixed in. The dipping sauce that it was served with was interesting and good. For entrees we ordered the siena burger and the "famous" caesar salad with salmon. The burger was delicious. Cooked perfectly medium rare and topped with crispy bacon, cheese, and caramelized onions. The burger seemed to be made with high quality beef. It was served on a really nice bun. It was one of the better burgers that I have had in a while. The truffle fries were also good ($4 upcharge which was a bit steep). We also loved the Caesar. Siena is definitely able to live up to the "famous" reputation. Other than the sad fact that they don't serve their delicious bread during lunch, we were pleased with our meal! read more

Food was mediocre at best. I ordered their seasonal ravioli dish- pumpkin (I had two bites and that was it - so sweet and doughy). My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana which is pretty basic but he requested rigatoni instead of spaghetti and of course that never happened ! We never send anything back because we know what happens when you do that !!!! Tiramisu was very basic. Worst Italian restaurant I've had. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Needless to say meatballs were hard as a rock terrible. We complained to the waiter. They gave him short rib ravioli instead. But he had to wait for it till we all finish eating it finally came to the table. I ordered the chicken Parm. It wasn't good either but I didn't complain. We couldn't believe that we had to wait for this food an hour and a half. And that's probably how they get you. Food is mediocre very expensive. Extremely disappointing. We recently had a surprise birthday party at Siena with 15 guests. It is one of the few restaurants in the area that accepts reservations. The staff was so accommodating. We were welcomed in the main dining room and made to feel at home. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Some of the favorite dishes were the truffle fries, calamari, beef short rib ravioli, mediterranean salad and shrimp scampi. read more

Great chicken piccata and parm dishes. Their pizza leaves a lot to be desired. Not worth the $20 or more that it costs. Got a pizza to-go the other day and was disappointed. The rest of the menu and cocktails there are delicious. Service is always friendly and they have a great patio for outdoor dining when the weather is nice. Prices are higher than the quality bc of Mashpee commons setting so that goes into play. But on pizza line there are better options near by. But a wonderful date night or celebration spot. read more
