Stopped in here for lunch last Saturday, and had a great experience. We arrived around 1pm, without a reservation, and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. We elected inside, since it was so hot and humid out. We had a nice table, in the corner, by the window, that was lovely. Our server came over shortly after we were seated, and brought us waters. We also received bread fairly quickly, it was warm, with a good sized bottle of olive oil to then dip it in - yum! We ordered the gyro as a plate, and you can pick your protein - we both wanted the lamb, but unfortunately they were out. So we both went with the pork instead. You get to pick your side, I went with the Greek salad to start, which was decent sized for a side salad. The gyro plate was really good - generous portion of pork, lettuce, tomato, onion, slices of pita bread, a few French fries, and tzatziki. The food was delicious, and generously portioned, I brought most of my pita bread home. We will absolutely be back to explore more of the menu! read more

Nice spot for a group dinner! We ordered the octopus, fig spread, pizza, kebab, moussaka, and fig ravioli. Stand outs were oddly the fig items! We went on a busy Saturday night and sat outside. Our server was very friendly, however could've been more attentive (clearing plates, drink refills, etc) but understandable considering it was busy and she had tables inside as well. The selection of Greek wines was excellent and we started off with tzatziki and sweet potato fries. The tzatziki was too lemony for my traditional taste and not enough garlic. Sweet potato fries were very good! We had Gyros as mains (1 chicken w/ roasted potato's and 1 pork w/ risotto) and we both agreed they could've used more flavor/seasoning overall. Opa! Estia is a Greek restaurant located in Mashpee Commons. We have been longing to dine here for a very long time. And, we were so happy to get in on a busy Saturday night. Note: They DO NOT take reservations. They have a Waitlist (through YELP) that you can go through. Since we were headed there pretty early (5 pm), there was no waitlist, so we got right in :) The good: A beautiful restaurant conveniently located in the Mashpee Commons shopping area. Parking is easy, too. They also have an outdoor patio. For all you wine lovers like me, Greek wine is one of the best wines. Be sure to check out their wine menu and cocktails. I had one of their Sparkling Rosé (yum) and for dinner a Xinomavro. You may not be able to pronounce it, but trust me, it is amazing. They bring some fresh focaccia with olive oil. Also, the service was fantastic, which is always a plus. The food: So, I have been to Greece before, and nothing replaces the food in Greece. But I kept an open mind while eating here. We started with their Hummus and Pita, which I believe is Homemade and was worth every penny. My Mom had their Special Scallop dish, which was also fantastic. Since I never order the correct thing, LOL, I had their lamb chops and they were good but not great. They were a bit too charred, if you know what I mean, and the seasoning on them was a bit much. I also ordered their Horiatiki Salad, which, if you go to Greece, you will see. It is pretty much a Greek Salad but with no lettuce. I was a bit disappointed since this salad was huge and I could barely eat it. I ended up bringing it home to have leftovers. The feta and olives were amazing since they were on top and easy to get to. This would be a great salad to share. Overall: I did enjoy Estia, but I think next time I need to order something else. This is going to sound like an odd complaint, but I was pretty disappointed to find actual pieces of lamb on my lamb gyro. Why? Because I was expecting lamb gyro meat, you know, the ground meat that spins around on a vertical rotisserie. (And that spinning being the word root for why a gyro is called a gyro -- think: gyroscope if that helps.) Instead I had nice pieces of leg of lamb that my mother-in-law might carve on Easter Sunday. The meat was great, in fact. Just not at all what I wanted. And the first time in my relatively long life that I've ever been served actual pieces of lamb on a gyro. The side greek salad was nice and the ingredients fresh. read more

Waited for 110 minutes only to find we have no idea what the fuss is about. Ambience is nice. I got the nectar cocktail, delicious. Bread they serve is horribly salty but not bad with the oil. After that, it was all downhill. Service was not good. Fries were cold. Pork gyro meat was fatty; no way you would want to eat it on the pita bread. Shrimp kabobs was inedible with this burnt grill taste. Our waitress was not great and made us feel bad about splitting checks but she would do it for us after a long speech about it. We ordered from here for delivery because we're hungover and had a hankering for pizza. Their specialty flavor selection is sizable and interesting. We got a large figetabout it pizza. This had to be one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust is light, with a wood fired flavor to it. The creamy goat cheese and salty prosciutto alongside the sweet fig paste and balsamic glaze makes for a delicious bite, and everything is evenly distributed so every bite is a good one! I also was feeling adventurous and decided to try lamb for the first time in the form of a gyro...and WOW! The meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The flavor of the meat melding with the tzatziki sauce was amazing. Next time I'll probably order it deconstructed because the pita was very soggy by the time it got to me. The sweet potato fries with honey and feta were the perfect combo of sweet and salty. Honestly everything was so delicious and flavorful. There aren't many Greek restaurants local to me at home so this was a treat, I can't speak for the atmosphere or customer service here as this was a delivery order. But by the prices (about 80$ for everything pictured here) I'm going to imagine it is a higher end option, but well worth it. I'll definitely be back here next time I'm in the area! read more

I visited Cape Cod for the weekend, and this was my favorite meal I had the entire weekend. We ordered the lamb chops as an appetizer, a chicken kabob that came with a Greek salad as an appetizer, and the lamb ciabatta, which had roasted lamb, arugula, honey garlic aioli, and melted kefalograviera cheese, served with a side of lamb au jus. It was truly the perfect pairing! The food was delicious, our favorite had to be the lamb chops. They have many seats outside along the front of the restaurant. Shoutout to the hostess for not sitting everyone on top of each other (5 stars for that alone lol). The waitress was very friendly and attentive and always filled up our water. We come back but wonder why we do? We appreciate Greek/Mediterranean food and the area does not have a great selection. The food is so average and does not warrant the prices they get. They forgot the lamb and brought out a cup of shredded lamb after I asked for it, was expecting a piece of lamb or lamb tips, not shredded, wouldn't order that again. We had a nice afternoon having lunch at Estia in Mashpee. There was delicious olive oil and bread delivered to the table almost immediately which was very nice. I had a deconstructed lamb gyro for lunch and apart from some indifferent, cold fries, the lack of feta and a dearth of their delicious tzatziki I'd say it was an OK meal. The hot items just were not that hot. Too bad too because the flavors were there. Our server was very nice and efficient. The place is very noisy, even when it's not crowded. I've been several times, usually had terrific food but this is the first time I have written of it. Give it a try. Maybe it was just an off day. I will go again, to be sure. read more

Some of the absolute worst service I have ever counted. The hostess was extremely rude. We asked for more space as it was apparent one of my dining companions would have no space. See picture. He is not a big man. She rudely corrected my sister-in-law and said: "plenty of space." Most of the food was terrible. If you're going to risk it here, don't go for real Greek food. Go with a pepperoni pizza. Only bonus was a great band that sang HBD to my niece. Also, be forewarned if you're a big party, they will charge you 22 percent for gratuity. We got here around 6 and it wasn't too busy but by 6:30 there was a line to wait for a table so I would advise going earlier. I got the salmon pita wrap and it was delicious! The sweet potato fries on the side were one of the better sweet potato fries I've had! The meat in the lasagna had some spice to it which was good. The name has changed to Astia for some reason but supposedly same owner and same menu. We went here on a Saturday night in late September and it was very busy. They do not take reservations but you can use the website to get on the wait list, which is probably a good idea. The place is pretty nice inside and feels fairly upscale, at least for The Cape. The drink and wine menu is pretty good and I had a special drink that was an odd mix but tasted pretty good. There's lots of your standard Greek favorites here plus some interesting additions. For and app we tried the feta and pepper spread. They definitely didn't cheat you on the pita and the spread was very good. For dinner we had a gyro and a kabob, both good. And both included a side so we tried one with the rice and there other with the spinach risotto. The risotto in particular was very good. We skipped dessert mostly because we were too full. The bill was only $120 including tip which I thought was great, especially including the drinks. Admittedly our meals were on the cheaper side but still good. The service was solid even though the place was quite busy. Overall we'll be back and its definitely worth a visit. read more

I was unsure how this combination would be, but it was amazing! They offer a variety of Greek wines as well. The one I tried was really smooth. I would definitely order it again. I ordered the Horitaki salad for my meal. It was huge, enough to bring some home for the next day. It was very tasty. My son ordered Brady's Beefy Pizza, which he loved as well. We sat right near the pizza making station so my son was able to see his pizza being made and being baked in the big oven. Spending an overnight in Mashpee led me to Mashpee Commons and Estia. This gorgeously appointed (love their cutlery, dishes and glassware) and stylishly decorated new-to-me Greek restaurant was exceptional! Server Alexa was among the best I've experienced in my dining career--engaging, attentive, funny, and made great suggestions. The bar is gorgeous and the wine and cocktail list is extensive. The bar side has an intimate and sexy vibe, while the brick oven side is casually energetic. You MUST try the grilled octopus, which is their signature dish and restaurant motif. It was super tender and worth the $26 price tag. Thankfully, my friend doesn't eat mollusks, so I didn't have to share! You're given warm, crusty bread and olive oil when seated. We tried a few things including spanakopita and a generous trio of sauces (hummus, spicy feta & tzatziki) with warm pita. The salads are a good size for a single entree or to be a shared appetizer. Everything was top notch and I can only imagine how busy this place gets during summer tourist season. Go now and enjoy this gem without a wait. This is my favorite restaurant in Mashpee Commons. I go there every time I'm in the area visiting my son. Recently, I went there and I was told there was an hour wait. We left and there were three or four tables that were empty. They do not take reservations The staff was overwhelmed with all the people coming in on Saturday, November 29. They arbitrarily just turned people away without thinking. That that was disappointing. I'll see you next time in a few months. read more

We have always looked forward to a special meal at ESTIA, but this one was very disappointing. First , I must say that the service was wonderful. Our young server was excellent, but everything that disappointed was not his fault. We really look forward to the Taramasalata, but it has been taken off the menu. We finally ordered our food, and found the yogurt, feta , pistachio and honey app very good. The pizza, however, was a disappointment. The biggest problem came about when we gave two credit cards to split payment for the check, and were told that the restaurant no longer allows this. ESTIA is a higher end restaurant with prices that support that, but they seem to have become less and less"user friendly". Splinting of checks is done just about every place that accepts credit cards. We don't understand why ESTIA can't do this. We'll be thinking hard before we return. read more

She said funny thing that they had called me already. I showed her my phone as there was no missed calls or text and no one had come to call us in waiting area. I didn't look at the yelp page before I ate here and I'm glad (transparently, I would have avoided based on existing reviews. A reminder to take everything with a grain of salt). Absolutely shocked this is rated so poorly. We needed to find a lunch spot quickly and this checked the boxes. Was absolutely blown away by the generous portions and how good everything tasted. It was unexpectedly gorgeous inside as well, which was a delightful surprise.
