    The view!

We had excellent Caesar salads. The clam chowder was to die for the calamari was soggy. I can see that it has such potential, but we didn't get to eat it. Unfortunately, we ordered all of our courses at once and then we got our soup our salad, and our calamari all at once and there was no place to put but even a finger on the table. I don't know why they dropped all the food together it made us feel rushed. Our server was great. She did not drop the food and took all of our orders by memory and was accurate on everything I had the braised short rib and it was a huge chunk of meat and very tasty very tender. The lobster roll was nothing to write home about which is what my husband got- too bad. The ambience with the view right over the ocean is spectacular, but I think they cut themselves short by putting a bunch of round tables at the front they could build a lengthwise from the windows so more people could view it overall I would return for lunch. I would not return here for a dinner because it was impossible to hear the room is super loud and could use some material to reduce the bounce back.

    My dinner

This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We waited 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order. We had to ask two different staff members and a manager before someone finally acknowledged us. Because the service was so slow, we ordered everything at once, worried that the server would disappear again after taking our drink order. Even our drinks took a very long time to arrive. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our food, while tables that were seated after us were already being served and eating. We felt completely invisible the entire time. We weren't even served bread--maybe the kitchen was out harvesting the wheat and grinding the flour first. At that point, we told our server we wanted to leave and asked for the bill for the drinks so we could pay and go. She said she would get someone. Twenty minutes later, no one came. We asked again, and still nothing happened. When we firmly said we just wanted to pay for the drinks and leave, our food suddenly appeared almost immediately. By then, it was far too late. We told them we no longer wanted it because we had already said 30 minutes earlier that we were leaving. Instead of apologizing, one staff member argued with us, saying, "But the food is already made." That was completely unacceptable. Thankfully, the manager eventually stepped in so we can leave. The manager is nice, everything else is a mess. After this experience, we have no interest in coming back. The food may or may not be good, we never got the chance to find out. The service was unbelievably disorganized and disappointing. We will not be returning.

    The amazing monkfish!

We were a little concerned about dining here, after reading the poor reviews of the Lantern Room, that we might be taking a chance. So glad that we DID! The service by Heather was great and the food delicious. Whoever was the chef that night cooked us a wonderful main course of monkfish. Everything about it was perfect. The clams, the potatoes, the broth, and the seared monkfish were all amazing! A mouthwatering dish. Doubt that this was a fluke because the food we saw served around us also looked great. The atmosphere for dinner is very plain, but the chairs were super comfortable and there was some nice background music playing. We had a perfectly made drink that was supposedly $16 but they charged $17 so maybe they should look at updating the menu prices. That is the only small complaint. We will definitely be back and can't understand all the bad reviews.

Breakfast at this place was so bad that we left without eating it. Nothing was fully cooked. It was garbage.

The aroma of freshly baked dough and caramelized sugar fills the air, drawing you toward immaculate display cases filled with a stunning variety of treats. Every single item is a testament to authentic French baking technique, featuring perfectly laminated, buttery croissants that shatter with crispness, vibrant fruit tarts with flawlessly structured crusts, and dense, velvety eclairs. Whether you are grabbing a crusty, artisanal baguette or indulging in a luxurious mille-feuille, the exceptional quality of the imported ingredients and the meticulous craftsmanship shine through in every single bite. Beyond the extraordinary pastries and savory savories, the atmosphere makes this boulangerie an absolute destination. Even when the lines stretch long on busy summer weekends, the energetic, smartly aproned staff handle the rush with incredible warmth and effortless professionalism. The rustic, charming interior combined with the view of bakers working hard at the ovens in the back adds a comforting, lively energy to the entire experience. It is easily the finest bakery on Cape Cod, and an absolute must-visit neighborhood treasure that will leave you eager to return the very next morning. What a find! Thanks

This little French bakery in Falmouth MA was new to us on our last trip a couple of years ago. I…read morehave no idea how long it has existed but certainly not back when we lived nearby. We returned this visit on a very hot day and with very busy downtown, so parking close was a must. Sadly, there was hardly any parking at all so "nearby" became only a wish. It was quite a hike to this shop. But it was worth it. We had already eaten lunch and our goal was a French pastry each for dessert and the option to sit inside in the cooled room to eat. We found 2 seats at the nearby eating counter and enjoyed the sweet snack. The line was exceptionally long so it did take a while to get our treat. You need to browse the case as you wait in line and be ready to order as you reach the front of the line, which luckily parallels the case, affording a decent view. The staff member, who has rotated back to the front of the staff line, will pull what you want from the case, bag or box it as appropriate to the pastry, run it to the cashier and then return back into the staff line. When you see the staff member do that, turn yourself around and head to the cashier line and pay. Then find a place to eat. If it is completely full inside, there are benches outside, across the street on the library lawn. We have done that in the past. Be sure you get your drinks from the cashier because getting back in line to order them later is counterproductive to having a nice time. This time I ordered a berry custard tart and my husband ordered the pear caramel custard tart. The crust was beautifully made, as always, all classic French flavors filling them. There are breads and pastries of all kinds from croissants to eclairs. Most people order a lot and take out in a box for entertaining or a group waiting for them somewhere else. Honestly, when it's this good and this beautiful, and this crowded, I never even looked at the prices. It was worth whatever it was.

Our server was pleasant enough and the small restaurant was cute. Bar, hightop, booth and table seating are available. I ordered the fish and chips while my wife ordered the fish tacos with sweet potato fries. The fish tacos were very good but had too much cilantro but the taste was very fresh. My fish and chips was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and still glistening. The batter was crispy and was thicker than tempura but thinner than beer batter. The only issue was a fairly small portion size. My wife had the same amount of fish on her tacos. We did have dessert, which was unusual for us. My pecan pie was extremely well done and had a wonderful flavor. Only way to make it better would be to serve it cold, not room temperature...but that's just personal preference. My wife got the tapioca pudding, which was a little less successfully prepared. The texture wasn't bad, it was served cold but had to option to be heated and the serving size was good. It just didn'tdidnt have much flavor...tasted more like a custard, but it was even bland for that. Over all? Very positive experience and we will be back
