Absolutely amazing experience! From views to service to food, everything was a solid 10. For drinks, I tried the Mai Tai while my coworker got the Spicy Cucumber Margarita. The Mai Tai had a stronger Orange taste than expected but I liked it! For apps we got Calamari and Oysters for the table. While I don't eat Oysters everyone else on the table loved it. For my main, I had the Vegetarian Sautée. Hands down the best one I've ever had. It was sautéed in white wine which enhanced the herb and butter flavors. The And, of course we had to order the Baked Stuffed Lobster. Beautiful presentation and great taste, the baked portion had breadcrumbs. Grace took excellent care of us at the table. We weren't in a hurry and wanted to take our time with each course and she timed everything perfectly. I can't say enough about how fresh and delicious all of our food was. Those crab cakes though...perfection! Loved the decor as well, so many interesting pieces truly moved me. The food was good but what you're paying for is the waterfront location and gorgeous sunset views! The menu has a variety to suit everyone. I highly recommend Landfall if you're looking for a Cape Cod experience. We took the family here for the last night of our 4 day stay and it didn't disappoint. The decor felt authentic yet fun and Cape Kitschy. We were seated next to the window and I made reservations right at sunset. Waves were lapping up on the pier just a few feet from the table! The restaurant is located right next to the Martha's Vineyard ferry so you get to watch the boats dock all evening. Made for beautiful photos and a memorable experience. Menu highlights: shrimp cocktail, oysters and the mixed fried seafood. Fresh & perfect bites! You can't surpass the view. The ferry to and from Martha's Vineyard can be watched while you eat your dinner. Make sure to make a reservation for this restaurant and wait a little bit longer to get a window. The sun set was spectacular. The food was great. The wait staff was even better. I had two New England beers. The second beer, I said to my waiter, was my last one. He never asked or tried to push another beer on me. The food came out hot. My family and I love this restaurant. I bumped my review up to 5 stars for this year because the service was improved. We were given the proper utensils and water in the beginning of our meal which last year we were not. As per usual, the food is great. This year we tried the mozzarella sticks which were really good. This is a quintessential Cape Cod restaurant with decor salvaged from ships and pretty views. They had the windows open in the early evening and we watched the boats go by, including the ferry. Despite the fact that we were a little more than five minutes late, they were able to seat us right away on a summer Friday night. I did call to let them know, and they were definitely busy so I appreciate that they held the table. Two of us got swordfish and loved it as it was perfectly cooked and seasoned as well as a big portion. Is it me or is swordfish usually dry? Not this! In general, the food was really good as was the service. The salads were crisp and everyone enjoyed their sides, specifically mashed potatoes or sweet potato fries. The vegetable side was just OK, perhaps a little overcooked so it didn't taste as fresh. That would be the only thing that I would do differently from a selection perspective. We have gone to Landfall numerous times over the years, and I feel like it's gotten better. The ambiance is always great with the beautiful dining area. Our most recent visit was really good. We got oysters and calamari to start, both very fresh. I vividly remember their delicious seafood pasta from the last time we came several years ago, which was the first time I had swordfish. I've visited Landfall Restaurant a couple of times, but I haven't written about them...until now. The last time I visited Landfall Restaurant was during the autumn of 2021. I know, last year. I am trying to catch up! They have a beautiful outdoor seating with fire pit and all the right ambiance. But the interior is really interesting, I recommend you taking a peek inside, even if you are eating at the outdoor dining area. Landfall is a waterfront restaurant, so it comes with beautiful view of the water! We ordered Corman Old Fashioned, a very nice drink to relax and wind down. And Landfall Lemonade, a very refreshing drink, perfect on a sunny day! We ordered a couple of appetizer dishes, Onion Rings, which were disappointing...overdone, and dried up. Stuffed Quahog, on the other hand, was excellent. For main dish, We had Grilled Fresh Swordfish, nice and juicy, Lobster Pie Casserole, packed with lobster chunks, Broiled Seafood Platter, with a nice amount seafood, and Seafood Newburg over Linguine, delicious! We all enjoyed our food. Since the dinner was all so nice, we decided to ordered Homemade Apple Crisp and Kahlua Parfait to share. Perfect way to end a nice meal! They should take lessons from the "Blue Heron" in Sunderland, MA.... The landfall is a great place to stop either right before your ferry or right after. We stopped in for lunch and were able to grab a table right on the water! The view is beautiful and the service is great. My lobster roll was pretty good but nothing out of this world. The one huge pro for this restaurant is the free valet parking right around the corner which saved us since finding parking anywhere was very difficult. read more

WHAT the heck were you expecting in a "beachy seafood place" off the Martha's Vineyard boat? A French Riviera Bistro? JEEEEZZZEEE major on the majors people. The place has a family history and has has been around since before that area got infested by humans. Kitchy and eclectic, its like visiting the crazy cat lady/aunt that has so much weird stuff you don't know if you are coming or going. The water view is terrible. Unless you like murkey water and boats, and come in your best sunday Vineyard Vines garb. And don't ask for a Sam Adams - they don't have it. I'll tell you what they DO HAVE. GOOD FOOD. Reasonably priced. Need an Oil Change? $25 clams will serve you a pile of fried deliciousness - scallops, 2 HUGE shrimp, whole belly clams and chunks of scrod. Yea. Fried RIGHT. Upgrade 2.50 and get PERFECT onion rings. And that is how you eat by the ocean. Cheap booze. Cold cheap beer (Coors and budlight are abundant if that is YOUR vibe, certainly not mine), good service. So, ignore all the chuchky hanging everywhere (read their story), and just enjoy a beachy meal in a congested touristy area and ignore bird poop outside (unless you plan on telling the Seagulls to go to the private bathroom) and enjoy. The service and the food were excellent and of course, traveling to Cape Cod added to our anniversary experience. I had the surf and turf and the steak was absolutely perfect. Stopped here for dinner on a recent trip and was largely pleased. The atmosphere is a little formal inside, and we (not old) could barely see the menus due to the lighting. We went with salads and the calamari app. The calamari was excellent. The salads were also fantastic, though we both got seafood on top. My wife had salmon, which she loved, but I got scallops and they were super over-cooked and rubbery. I ended up leaving most of these at the bottom of the bowl and just eating the salad. For a $17 up-charge, this was a big miss on my end. However, the salad, service, and other aspects were all solid, so I ended up with 4-stars. We rode our bikes with or dog on the Shinning Sea bike path from North Falmouth to Woods Hole. There were only two places in Woods Hole we could take our dog. The Landfall had a very inviting patio at the entrance as well as a bike rack to lock our bikes. They provided a cooler of water so we could fill our dog's bowl. We ordered a lobster roll and a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato (I needed a break from seafood). The food was delicious. The inside of the restaurant felt like and old ship - a very nicely maintained old ship. We will definitely visit again. read more

I think 3.5 stars is just about right. My broiled seafood platter was nice and fresh (though the sauce was a bit heavy). The fried calamari was also solid and they were able to do it without the fried peppers. My dad enjoyed his baked lobster. The lobster roll was the most disappointing. Lots of good lobster meat but not much flavor (I had to dip the lobster in my extra butter sauce). Decent wine list and very friendly service (if not particularly experienced). I ordered a lobster roll which was served dry and tasteless. For $35 you expect some condiments or some seasoning in your food. It was bone dry with no sauce , salad or anything . It comes with a side of coleslaw ( the only saving grace of that roll) which they were out of and they informed me about this after they got my order. They arrived submerged in water with a few ice cubes. Lousy shuck, shell pieces in most of them. Poots. I'd expect better in Idaho. An hour after the oysters, the waiter indicated there was a "kitchen malfunction" and our lobsters would finally arrive soon. No idea what that means, but we were finally served the skimpiest and most overcooked lobsters I've ever seen for $50 each. Dried out cold fries on the side. I told the waiter this was a very disappointing experience, and he didn't even respond. The location says it all. Total tourist trap. If you're hammered and coming off the ferry, this place is perfect for you! All others will do better with a filet-o-fish at McDonald's. Astoundingly, you have to give a credit card to make a reservation at this bucket by-the-sea. Nope! Went to the Landfall restaurant at 4:15pm on a weekday with my spouse and mother who is 100 years of age and in a wheelchair (to be fair, she looks 85). Hostess Jessica asked if we were having dinner. We volunteered that we were thinking of having drinks. Jessica said in that case we had to sit outside or on an actual bench by the entrance door if we were only having drinks. I might understand if the place was busy, but there were only about 2 tables inside the entire restaurant that were occupied. There was no one else waiting to be seated The hostess rudely stated it was the restaurants policy to require patrons to sit outside or at the bar. Obviously, a person in a wheelchair can't sit on a bar stool. We went to another empty restaurant and had apps and drinks and were seated at a table. Our bill was $87. Seems like $87 should buy you a table for a customer in a wheelchair at Landfall. We emailed our concerns over rude treatment with possible ADA violations to the owner of Landfall, but never received a reply . Will not dine there again. Rude, disrespectful, and unaccommodating to the disabled elderly population. They have come a long way from their humble roots. read more

This is 5 star all the way. Good service and amazing atmosphere overlooking the harbor. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. My lobster was cooked perfectly. The seafood platter of scallops, shrimps, clams with garlic mash was amazing. Salad and garlic bread was delicious. This is a must visit if you are in Falmouth or the Upper Cape. OK so why three stars for a beautiful waterfront restaurant. Mostly the food along with the overpriced menu items. The view was lovely the table was nice, the Aperol spritz was festive, but the food was just underwhelming for the price. The fried calamari appetizer was mainly tentacles and lacked flavor. My grilled salmon with garlic mashed potatoes was just lackluster. I mean I wanted to love it but it was really just OK. My husband said the same Said the same about his dinner. And when you're spending 200 bucks once you've had a drink an appetizer dinner and wine it should be really good. If I went again it might be for lunch or drinks and appetizers but not the whole dinner deal. read more
