Spinnaker is a great option if you are looking for some finer dining in the cape. We had a wonderful meal in October. Our waiter, Daniel, was great. We had the meat/cheese tray (very generous serving size), the spaghetti, and the bolognese for food. All was delicious! The only minor critique would be that the spaghetti with clams and calamari was a bit too salty for my taste, but a minor complaint on an otherwise great evening out. We will definitely be back next year to enjoy another great meal! read more

If you have 2 hours to wait on your entree this place is for you! I have never waited to be served ANYWHERE ever this long . We were a party of three arrived at 07:30 ordered 2 Appys waited 45 minutes and then our entrees finally came at 09:30. We all 3 ordered fish mine was cooked to perfection however my sides were awful ,the portion was a heaping tablespoon that's it seriously . For the price and for the ungodly wait time I would never waste my time here. I couldn't believe not a single person from management offered an apology or not a single item was comped ... I feel disrespected and totally ripped off . The worst dining experience ever... I regret not walking out . Too many other fantastic well run eating establishments nearby , so don't waste your time on this joke of a restaurant. read more

A very special and wonderful dining experience. Food was outstanding. Appetizers were so very good, that we were tempted to try everyone on the menu. I ordered the swordfish, so very delicious, my wife ordered the house pasta. She never finishes anything. Tonight we both finished everything. Cannot begin to tell you how wonderful both dishes were. We finished with the bread pudding desert. Also remarkable. The evening was topped off with complimentary home made lemon cello liquor. Also very delicious. Great evening, great and friendly service. One of my favorite restaurants on the Cape. You feel welcomed the minute you arrive. Consistently great food, well run and engaged owners. Love the atmosphere in the restuarant, casual and yet somewhat upscale not the same old menu offerings. Great for date night, adult family or a small group of friends. We stayed in Brewster last year and our inn keeper recommended Spinnaker. We fell in love and came back again this summer. This place is amazing! He got the Bolognese and said it was as delicious as he remembered from last year. I got the halibut special and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The wine pours are VERY generous and the wine list is great! For dessert we split ricotta cheesecake, but could have easily eaten one each! We went in August, 2019 for 4 nights. The owners, Andrea and Rob, immediately welcomed us. The restaurant is beyond 5-star. Rob is truly a gourmet chef and Andrea is a top notch restaurateur. The rooms were extremely neat and spotless. Every morning the breakfasts were delicious and farm fresh locally sourced. Our dinners there were more exceptional than the breakfast. This is my new favorite place on the Cape! I have now dined at the Spinnaker twice- once in the Fall and once in the Summer. Both times- excellent, excellent, excellent! For me, this is a special occasion type place. The vibe is "beach chic" as the owners say, and it really does come across. Everyone in the dining room was casual, but luxe. I felt like I graduated to dining among the Kennedys and Shrivers! I love how the dining area is split into different rooms, and this time I was seated right next to one of the windows in the front. We had a reservation for 6:00pm and it was a must- the place was packed! Though there was some availability in the al fresco area in the backyard- which looked adorable! What I really love about the Spinnaker- it feels like you're part of the family. Greeted by one of the owners, Andrea, at the door, we were taken to our table by a friendly and well-dressed hostess. It really set the mood for the evening. Next, we met a lovely server, who was the perfect amount of attentive- always there when you needed her, never butting in when we were in the middle of a good story. The service was top notch. And the food- the food! To say the food is divine is to sell it short. What Chef Rob does with top-of-the-line, fresh ingredients is art! It's music! It's "ooh la la!". Though only a humble boy from the South Shore of Massachusetts, I've eaten all over the world: Paris, Rome, New York. Chef Rob makes food to rival and surpass them all. It's my favorite kind of Italian- like a dream of Sicily. There were some touches I want to be a surprise- so be sure to read the descriptions in the dessert menu. Spinnaker is a true gem. The food is exquisite and the staff is wonderful. The only problem is getting a reservation in the summer! We ate there twice this summer: first with a big group (14) for a party, and then again just two of us. Every single thing we ate and drank was excellent, including the Day Boat, the brussels sprouts, the Bolognese, the summer salad ... the list goes on. It's a splurge, but worth it. The food is good here, but the service is horrible. We had to kill several bees with our napkins and the servers didn't even bother removing the napkins. There were extremely loud, drunk people at the bar that were being so loud I had to finally complain. Cooked OK but uninventive food. Reading the menu tasted better than the food itself. Like most places in Cape Cod, this was overpriced for the quality. The seared tuna was done right but everything else garnishing the dish was just assembled basic ingredients (a slice of tomato, a piece of watermelon, a few crumbs of feta cheese, 2 or 3 kalamata olives and a couple of lettuce leaves). Cannot recall the drizzled dressing this was coming with it because there was almost none and was without any character. The center-cut ribeye was over-cooked medium and the quality of the meat was not great: most likely not prime beef. It had a chalky texture and for $40 you would expect better. No sauces, just grilled with a tiny bundle of asparagus over a tasteless emulsified yogurt sauce. The roasted potatoes were rubbery: they probably had been cooked a while back and reheated. The dish with the scallops was good with a nice avocado-cilantro mousse. The unfortunate part of that dish was the risotto cake (!), that was indeed cake-like; hard, compact and without flavors. Finally, we were tucked in a corner in the hallway with the reception/front desk. We were completely disconnected from the rest of the restaurant and in plain view of all the customers who entered and left. Having to maximize your space to that point is just pure greed and totally disrespectful. I have to note that our server was friendly and attentive. So it is one of these places: upscale restaurant wannabe and painfully amateur in almost every aspects. read more

Just home from dinner at this restaurant, 2nd time . Food is good. Had to wait 50 minutes for entree. We told owner /hostess this was unacceptable . She said speak to the chef (? husband) . His response was "it's summer". Basically , too bad, like we were being unreasonable.Party of 6 next to us also complained to server about prolonged wait. We live as part-time residents of Brewster , we 've eaten at numerous upscale restaurants ( Brewster Fish House, Chillingsworth , Fin). The attitude of the owners was so distasteful, we will not go back for dinner there. I am not one to be critical, consider myself a very tolerant individual. We loved it! From start to finish the whole evening was exquisite from the warm greeting , cozy ambience and delicious food! We started with martinis and caesar salad. Not only beautiful surroundings, but the food is outstanding. I had the Pillows and Blankets - tempura fried parmesan with prosicutto ham slices and a balsamic reduction - simplicity, simplicity, simplicity but mouthwatering. Then I had the organic roast half chicken under "a brick" with a lemon pan sauce - every bite of the chicken was succulent - the pan sauce was light and greaseless, The truffled roasted potatoes were crisp with light centers - done to perfection. I never, never get roast chicken in a restaurant - I don't order what I can prepare well at home, but I am glad I got this roast chicken and will do so again. read more

We had a pleasant meal at this relatively new restaurant in Brewster. Menu was varied, with something for most appetites. However, there were several areas that could be improved. The bread was thinly sliced supermarket (higher quality white scali) bread with olive oil for dipping. We would have preferred some freshly baked bread. The salad was fresh, but unremarkable and the beet appetizer was good. Both the salmon and swordfish were cooked 'well' which ended up tasting somewhat dry, although the accompaniments were tasty. We have dinner at Spinnaker annually on our way to PTown, and as always it was fantastic. The bolognese is a must have. The wine selection is fantastic, with unique options from Italy that are hard to find. My crispy salmon dinner was tender on the inside and very flavorful. The antipasto board was a real treat, with unusual cheeses and meats. Ask to sit outside on a nice evening for a special treat. Tables come with soft blankets for cooler evenings. Inside, the decor is modern and calming. The wait staff is friendly and knows the menu well. Andrea and Rob are forever gracious and make you feel right at home. Fabulous. Amazing from start to finished, perfectly matched flavors on each plate. I started with the chickpea fritters, a light take on falafel, but creamier. It's the smoky eggplant za'atar yoghurt sauce that takes it to the next level. The sauce is a suggestion of baba ganoush but again, chef builds off of that. Then the lamb chops--grilled char still pink inside, with a brilliant mint-basil pesto. On the plate a take on panzanella with deep flavors of kalamata olives, capers, roasted red peppers. So amazingly matched flavors all across the plate. Sticking Mideast, I ended with baklava, which wasn't overwhelmingly sweet at all. It was balanced with the flavor of pistachios breaking through and the lightness of orange water. Perfect. OK so I sampled from family plates, quickly: Bolognese, great! Authentic. Housemade tagliatelle. Lobster with Yukon gold gnocchi was fantastic: buttery, silky. Beautiful dish. One of the best meals I've ever had. The chef has a genius palate. read more

Warm and friendly modern decor with a nod to its seashore location, Spinnaker delivers a great experience for the special occasion or every night diner. Patrons filled the cozy bar area and dining rooms in "cape cod" attire while feasting upon fresh seafood and Italian specialties. Our table of six enjoyed Tuna, Swordfish, Bass and Bolognese dishes. The desserts were a tremendous "finish" to the meal and there was no rush to leave. Spinnaker is definitely my favorite "go-to" restaurant ~ but plan on reservations. With food crafted for each diner, the pace is slower than other establishments and is reminiscent of restaurants in Europe, but well worth the wait. read more

This is a wonderful new restaurant in Brewster, first season was 2017. Had dinner tonight, and can't think of a better time out for a celebration meal. The service was attentive, friendly, professional, and accommodating. We got a variety of appetizers to share for our party of 8. The wine list was good. The appetizers were all delicious. The entrees were beautiful to look at (but not fussy), and the flavors were amazing. Portions were plentiful. We weren't hungry, but the deserts were so enticing, we could not pass them up. The best meal we have had on the Cape! Chef Rob and his wife Andrea have a real gem in Brewster. Our entrees of seafood and fennel sausage papradelle and the cavatelli stuffed eggplant were highlighted by the wonderful homemade pasta and flavor combinations that evoked the meshing of old world Italian with Cape Cod traditions. Dessert was just as amazing with a citrus cream cheese icing infused carrot cake and strawberry rhubarb topped ricotta cheesecake were the perfect finish to our meal. This restaurant is right up the street from us and we have been there now four times. I don't find the staff to be overly warm and fuzzy or accommodating. That being said, the food is just spectacular. I'm afraid I am stuck on the gnocchi that they make at the restaurant... The bread pudding is light and fluffy and absolutely delectable I usually have the beet salad as an appetizer. We have not had anything that was less than stellar. I am pretty picky about my drinks and they haven't gotten it down pat for me yet but they are willing to adjust it when I've asked them to. Even now, early in the season, it's best to have reservations. We had to wait half an hour on Saturday night because we neglected to think ahead. The restaurant has a small bar and that's usually where we like to sit. One suggestion I would have would be to have some music in the bar. Because it is so small and intimate, it is easy to hear everybody's conversations. I think people like a little more privacy than that. read more

I had a great experience at Spinnaker! I stayed there for three nights for a work trip and I was treated like royalty during the entire stay. I was greeted at my car and offered a complimentary drink at the bar with a nice snack after a long travel day. The continental breakfast was an absolute feast that filled me up enough to not need lunch! All of Rob's cooking was amazing and he was very helpful for local areas to eat, interesting places to visit, and towns nearby to tour. The room was adorable and had everything I needed including internet and all the cable tv shows I wanted. They had a Nespresso machine in the room to start my morning off with a kick! They also had robes provided in case I wanted to lounge around. I was on a work trip, but it is perfect for a romantic weekend as well. Andrea was also super helpful with local information for things to do in town and sites to see! I found the whole experience at Spinnaker from start to finish to be amazing and I can't wait to do it again! I never write yelp reviews, but I felt like in this case it was necessary.
