We had dinner here on Mother's Day, and it was great! The restaurant is on the Main Street, toward the end, and there's plenty of street parking. We snagged a spot, and walked around a bit before dinner. When we arrived, we were told to pick a table, there were a few other tables already seated. We chose a table by the window. There's plenty of seating, and bar seating available. I was pleasantly surprised with all the food options - not only is the menu itself pretty big, they had a page of specials as well. Our server was great, super attentive, and checked in with us multiple times. We started with the calamari, which were deliciously fried, and tasty. For a main course, I had pasta with Alfredo sauce and lobster - it was really good. My mom had the flounder francaise, which was lightly breaded, topped with shrimp, and had a creamy limoncello sauce. We really enjoyed the meal, and will be back to try more of the menu! read more

This is a promising place that just opened. I came in for a drink about 5 pm. The staff are just setting up and that included the bartender who was helping with the setup. She was great: a pleasant woman from Serbia who spoke great English. However if I had a suggestion, it would be to be a bit more customer focused. When people sit at a bar during the 4-6 period, bet to get them sorted when the place is empty, then continue with the dinner setup. read more

La Bella Cuenca opened in late June 2025 on busy Main Street in Hyannis, adding to the lively restaurant scene in town. They serve up Italian American cuisine serves lunch and dinner and offers full service dining room with a full service bar with seating, lighting dim inside. There is also sidewalk patio seating in front and an open air back patio seating area near the rear entrance to the large public parking lot. The food menu offers sandwiches/wraps (lunch), burgers, salads, soups, appetizers, pasta dishes, fried seafood plates, seafood, beef, chicken, pork, personal pizzas, and desserts. The pricing is moderate high. The bar serves beer, wine and cocktals. I stopped by La Bella Cuenca for lunch recently and decided to sit outside since it was a sunny day. The server arrived to pour some chilled water and given menus. I was given a warm soft roll with olive oil & grated parmesan cheese to dip, good. For a starter, the Clams Casino ($14.95 plus tax) was plated with 6 baked clams stuffed with bread crumbs, garlic, bacon, parsley and lemon butter, served very hot. For an entree, the Chicken Marsala ($18.95 plus tax) served with choice of pasta (chose fettuccine) was comprised of a tender pan grilled chicken cutlet, soft mushroom slices & a savory marsala wine sauce over soft cooked fettuccine noodles. I was also given fresh grated cheese over the pasta. After I was done, I passed on the dessert offer and got the check, which was $36.02 with tax and before tip. Overall, lunch was pretty good as was also able to enjoy the nice weather while eating a tasty lunch. The server was constantly checking on things more frequently than the norm, but it's more likely opening week jitters. I would likely come back here to taste the seafood options. read more

On a cold Wednesday night decided to try an Italian restaurant that I hadn't been to. We were the only party there at 6:30, another couple came shortly after, this was their second consecutive night as they found the food to be so good. Food and service (Carla) were excellent. Lamb Osso Buco was one of the best I've had, the mashed potatoes were equally as good. Their Prix Fixe Menu has to be one of the best deals going. $30 for appetizer, main, and a petite dessert. An extensive list of offerings, to please anyone's craving. Run, don't walk to this great place. Spread the word. read more

Was excited to try this new to us spot and while the eggplant and veal Parm were some of the best we've had both on or off Cape I must admit it was disappointing to be treated and disregarded by the bartender (we ate at the bar) as we were as she fawned over the "regulars". We were among the first to arrive at the bar for dinner however we ended up being the last served and the last to receive our dinner. Even getting our check and cashing out the bartender could have cared less. Great food but at the sacrifice of disrespecting staff. read more

We had a great dining experience here! The staff was lovely: super friendly, attentive and quick. We ordered the special app of the day, which was mussels in the most delicious tomato, garlic and basil sauce. After the mussels were gone, we were spooning the sauce into our mouths. Super delicious! While we waited, they brought us fresh bread with olive oil and Parmesan cheese. The bread had a beautiful crunch on the outside and was warm and soft on the inside. Yummo! All of us ordered their special priced pizzas of the day, 2 margaritas, 1 Hawaiian, and 1 La Bella Special. My boys made easy work of theirs, but I could only finish half. Next time I would easily split one with a friend. I think this place is unfairly rated at 2.5 stars. I would happily eat here again. I suggest you give them a chance. read more

We rarely leave negative reviews because we understand how much support small and new businesses need. Unfortunately, this experience was awful from start to finish. The service was practically nonexistent, and once the food arrived, we were swarmed by hornets and flies. The hostess actually laughed at us as we tried to dodge the pests. The food itself was not fresh -- my husband's meal contained rotten shellfish that made him sick to his stomach. For what we were served, the prices were absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, the restaurant automatically added a 20% tip, bringing our bill for 2 adults and 4 kids to nearly $280. This was the start of our vacation, and it confirmed that this is one of the worst restaurants we've ever been to. Do NOT waste your time or money here. read more

Last night, after making a last minute calll to have a birthday party for 12 of us( after another restaurant had double booked our room), Erick agreed to accommodated us. . What a cute little hole in the wall on Hyannis main street! Our server, Dario, was very helpful and made great recommendations on menu choices. The wine was a great pair with our meal and each dish was served quickly. We enjoyed the ambiance of the bar and the food was very good. Will come again! Highly recommend!! read more

Avoid this place. The cod served in a butter lemon sauce (dinner special) was previously frozen. It was gray brown and had the consistency of mashed potatoes, very mushy. Same with the shrimp in the shrimp cocktail - not fresh, previously frozen. My side of pasta and red sauce was served on the same plate as the cod causing the red sauce to merge with the lemon butter sauce. The grilled vegetables that came with the meal didnt arive until 5 mins after the entre was served. The red sauce was not bad, at least the portion that didnt combine with the lemon butter sauce. I cant believe that poor quality seafood of this kind would be served anywhere on the Cape, of all places. Also, the service was very slow and sporadic despite there being only one other party in the restaurant. My dinner was comped thankfully. Despite the poor service i left a 20% tip. The owners should really be ashamed of the seafood quality, the plating presentation and the poor service they provide. I cant recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was awful. read more
