    That egg muffin thing

Absolutely love this spot! Such a cute café and a wonderful addition to Dennis. The coffee is solid (they serve Little Wolf coffee!), the pastries are fantastic (don't skip the egg muffin!), and the chia seed pudding is rich enough to pass for dessert. The coffee space is adorable and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back often.

Delicious food, very knowledgeable staff. Cozy on a chilly spring night. All vinyl dj sets on weekends is a lot of fun!

Great wine to pair with Dennis oysters!!!

The evening started with…read moreoutstanding cocktails--the Perfect Pear Martini was ice-cold, refreshing, and delicious, while the Manhattan was expertly crafted and perfectly balanced. For an appetizer, we shared the sweet potato tempura stuffed with scallop and crab. It was light, flavorful, and beautifully prepared--an excellent start to the meal. For our entrées, the swordfish was wonderfully fresh and packed with flavor. While the accompanying potatoes were a bit dry and under-seasoned, the fish itself was outstanding. The seared tuna was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful crust and tender center, and the noodles complemented it perfectly. Fin has the charm of a historic home, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar is cozy and welcoming, though on the smaller side, so arriving early is a good idea. We were seated upstairs at a corner table, which provided plenty of privacy and made for a wonderfully romantic dining experience in a quaint and intimate setting. Our waitress seemed a little reserved at first but quickly warmed up and became attentive and engaging throughout the evening. Dinner for two, including tip, came in just under $200, putting it on the higher end of the price range, but the quality of the food, cocktails, and atmosphere made it well worth it. We will be back to try the oyster stew.

The service was a little slow and I did have to wait multiple times for my water to be filled after I finished it, but not a huge deal. I feel like the food was just average. I tried my friend's tuna dish, which was otoro when we went, and it was just not flavorful for me. She enjoyed the noodles though. I thought the salmon was well-seasoned, but it was unfortunately overcooked which made it really dry. The seaweed salad that came with it was pretty standard. The whole dish just needed more sauce because there was a large amount of rice that tasted really dry. We did enjoy the house focaccia with the garlic herby olive oil. The octopus was also okay-- a tad overcooked and expensive for only having one piece. Also, I wasn't the biggest fan of the two sauces that accompanied it.

Set in a beautifully preserved farmhouse that is more than 200 years old, right along Route 6A, the restaurant feels both timeless and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The food was remarkable. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, from the seared dayboat scallops with piccalilli to the braised short rib, all paired with an impressive and well curated wine selection. Each course added to the experience and made the evening feel special without ever feeling overdone. What truly elevated the night was the hospitality. Renae, the manager, along with his entire team, was outstanding. Attentive, warm, and clearly passionate about what they do, they made sure everything ran seamlessly and that every guest felt genuinely cared for. The setting itself is just as memorable as the meal. Wide wood floors, exposed beams, and the subtle, comforting scent of a wood burning stove create a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for a celebration or a quiet night out. We had such a great time, and it is easy to see why The Pheasant holds such a special place on the Cape.

The interior is pretty basic, small tables and small chairs, so a person of substance such as myself didn't find the seating comfortable. I tried: - French onion soup: this should have been an easy win. I found the Gruyere cheese to be overly thick, and the broth to be heavy handed on the wine. - Steak tartare: this was a good dish. The beef was thin cut, smooth, and the egg was cooked just right so the yolk added richness that then got offset by the capers. Due to the richness, you may actually find that this could be all you need for a meal, despite it looking small. - Croque Madame: le sigh, what a failure this sandwich was. Over easy egg? Not today, over medium, so not much runny yolk but a thicker one. This is a gigantic salt bomb, in addition. They serve your water in tiny glasses and every bite led to downing an entire glass of water. It's good they were on top of refilling the glasses, but even then I finished a quarter of this before I couldn't take it any more. I did saunter over to the counter where they have a lot of good looking pastries, so we'll see if the ones I bought end up redeeming this place. As it stands, I can't recommend this establishment unless you'd like to try the tartare.
