Had lunch here and it was a great experience. We were seated promptly. Server took our drink orders and our food orders as we had decided pretty quickly what to have. We ordered the French onion soup and the doggie dip sandwiches one with onion rings and the other with tater tots. The French onion soup arrived and it looked very good. Nicely melted cheese over flowing a little over the crock. The broth had a great deep beef flavor with plenty of seasoning. There were tons of nicely chopped onions and a couple of croutons as well. Probably lay the best I've had in a long time. The doggie dip sandwiches arrived a little time later. These sandwiches were made with thinly sliced roast beef between a grilled garlic roll. The sandwiches were thick and the garlic bread added a nice touch. A bowl of au jus was also included for dipping. The au jus was very salty so don't salt your sandwich as you won't need it. The tater tots and onion rings on both plates were piping hot right out of the fryer. Both were very crispy and very good. We came to Lost Dog Pub because we wanted something easy and cheaper in the Brewster/Dennis area! Lost Dog is open until 1am, so it's a great choice to come if you are looking for a later dinner or late night bite/drinks. Most restaurants are closed mon/tues or if they are open, they close at 9pm. So Lost Dog is the place to go! They have basic bar food, seafood, sandwiches, oysters, entrees and specials! I had the clam chowder and wings. I would say the wings were VERY saucy, but still very good. Also, the clam chowder was good! We had a lovely meal here tonight. Service was great from hostess to waitress. Smells/looks like a bar but food is yummy! I had the steak tips meal, hubby had the loaded scallops (name), and our daughter had grilled cheese kids meal. Good portions, and everyone loved their food. We came to the Lost Dog for an easy meal after the beach that was close by, and it did the job, but there were some things lacking in the food. Service was good and attentive. They were quick to correct anything they forgot with our meal. However, I got the lemon pepper chicken sandwich, which was very salty, and the sweet potato and regular fries were very soggy. The rest of my group ordered the crab cakes, which they didn't enjoy very much, and the doggy dip was also rather salty. The clam chowder and French onion soup were good, and the buffalo chicken tenders were also not bad. They also have a good selection of beers. One odd thing we noticed was that they have a lot of Murphy's Stout signs but don't have Murphy's on tap, which we thought was interesting and a bit funny. Overall, with the juke box, sports games, and ambiance, this place is good for drinks and hanging out with friends before going somewhere else for dinner or even coming after dinner, but I'd probably skip the food. read more

We went on a Friday night during the summer. We were able to be seated right away. Plenty of parking in the lot, although the spaces are weirdly shaped and hard to back into but that may just be me haha Anywho! We didn't get alcohol that night but they had some cool sounding cocktails. For dinner I had the Caesar salad and coconut shrimp. Both were excellent! The salad was huge had tons of cheese and croutons. The shrimp came in an order of 6 which was a perfect amount. My dad got the fish sandwich with fries, my mom got the special of the night Salmon vini (tortellini, asparagus, tomatoes and prosciutto with a wine sauce and salmon on top) Both loved their meals. Andy and Joan, This review is to express how appalled we were by the conduct of your staff during our visit last night. We had a group of 24 people and called four separate times in advance to advise your team, knowing you do not take reservations. Each time we were explicitly told by your staff to "just show up." We followed those instructions in good faith. When we arrived, the waitress made it immediately clear that she was put off by the size of our group. Given her reaction, I asked if we should take our group elsewhere. Her response was hostile and unprofessional. When I reminded her that tips are based on service, her behavior escalated dramatically. She called me a "jerk", refused to serve me based on that comment which tips are OPTIONAL and then proceeded to tell multiple members of our party that I was a "f***ing a$$hole," repeating it several times. This was not a misunderstanding. It was a complete breakdown of professionalism and basic respect for customers. You should also understand the impact of this incident. These were 24 local patrons, many of whom have dined at your establishment for years. Every one of them left stunned by how they were treated. None of us will be returning. In addition, our annual marina winter gathering, which has historically brought significant business to your restaurant, will never be held there again. I would not recommend your establishment to friends, family, or even bring my dog to your property. This is not about a bad day or a simple mistake. This was unacceptable conduct that reflects directly on your business and your standards. You lost more than one table that night. You lost the loyalty of an entire local community group. read more

Great ambiance and service, the restaurant was filled with quite a crowd when we were there and the servers were all on top of it and kind. The food was fine, nothing special. My husband and I went to the Lost Dog Pub in East Dennis last night for dinner, we go there often and usually sit in the dining room. Last night we sat at the bar and were served by two awesome young men, Harry & Sean, I was very impressed with their ability to mix drinks while being personable with people at the bar. My husband ordered the steak tips and thought his dinner was delicious. I ordered one of my favorites, the scallops nantucket and it did not disappoint. We always try to visit the lost dog pub whenever we're in the Cape, which is usually twice a year. This time we seated right away and the waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered a wine sangria and my partner ordered pink lemonade. They didn't take too long to come. I did however take several minutes before she came back to ask if we wanted to order I ordered a 10 inch pizza and he ordered clam chowder and a cheese steak sandwich. The food was delicious as always. I had eaten about half my pizza and wanted a box to take the rest home, our server Caroline didn't come back to the table at that time so I flagged somebody else down asked for a to go box and a water. Around five minutes later, Caroline brought me the box without the water, and then the other waiter finally brought me my water. So then we sat there waiting for her to return so we can ask for dessert another six or so minutes went by. She came by and put the check on the table and said thank you and I said we were going to order dessert and he would like another pink lemonade. She said oh what would you like so we told her we wanted the Boston cream pie and a peanut butter pie. I timed it. We waited exactly 11 minutes for her to return to our table with no lemonade and to tell us that neither dessert was available. I was more disappointed that it took her 11 minutes to let us know they did not have the dessert we wanted than I was about the fact that they were sold out of the dessert. I have no doubt that Carolyn knew we were disappointed by the tip we left her. We are generous tippers and always let managers know when service is exceptional. We will always leave a tip, but the service does reflect on how much. read more

I brought him here for a birthday drink and he got thrown out because he asked why he was being ignored. is that even legal? i know one thing , it was definite elder abuse! I think you need to address this bartender and she shouldn't be left alone. I am a former bar manager and worked in hospitality my whole life. her behavior was abhorrent and truly insulting! I've been coming here since I was little and it's a must-visit whenever we're up on the cape. I'm a huge wings fan and I have to say that they really do have the best boneless buffalo wings here! I really dream about them when i'm not on the cape... they are that good. We also tried their fried pickles recently and i'm definitely going to order them next time!!
