    Scallop crudo
    Rosemary S.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]They nailed the vintage but clean aesthetic that is so ubiquitous in Provincetown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room felt cozy but also elevated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was so nice, funny, and engaged with the menu and recommendations. Salmon crudo was good but not the most captivating flavors I've had for crudo. Watermelon and cucumber salad was bright and fresh. The dill was a nice touch. Menu was diverse; there were plenty of options I would have liked to have tried. Drinks were well thought out and presented with a twist on some classics. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is an awesome spot for a couple or small intimate dinner. Not the place for a large, lively group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But there's plenty of spots for that in ptown. Even with the wealth of wonderful restaurants in town, I'd definitely come back here.

Service was very attentive. The patio seating has no view and no outside. Sit inside for more atmosphere. Food was good. Recommend halibut with succotash. The Branzino was tasty, but radish salad was tasteless.

This is, hands down, my favorite dining experience whenever I'm in Provincetown. Freeman's is an adult-only establishment. You must be 21+ to dine here. They will not seat more than a party of four and only when everyone is present. While some people may find this policy snooty and pretentious, it actually allows for a more intimate, quiet, and overall pleasant dining experience. You won't find any signs advertising its location on Commercial Street. You must know the address in advance and check in at a small, unassuming window at the bottom of a staircase. When all are present, you are led up the stairs and inside a handsome, colonial-style dining room. Some lovely portrait paintings adorn the walls. The staff is super courteous (and good looking--whether you're into girls, boys, or both)! Great lychee martini. I always order the pappardelle with braised short rib ragout and it never disappoints. This time around there might have been a little too much of a mountain of cheese sprinkled on top for my personal taste, but it didn't deflect from the deliciousness that it is. The consistency of the dark chocolate cremeyx for dessert was a bit off. I was expecting more caramel and less of a peanut butter texture. Expect a lot of saltiness that outdoes the sweet. Overall, Freeman's is a superb dining experience and a great place to take a date or other special person or friends. It's pricey, but so very worth it in every way.

What a perfect meal. Our server Bruno was the best and would highly recommend. Get the wagyu if it is on offer

You have to walk up a slight hill on Carver Street to get here, and it was no surprise that it was relatively packed with all the terrace seats taken. And yet, the ambiance was quite chill. Everyone was looking relaxed and definitely not on the make. Customers skewed a tad older here, which made us feel right at home. We were particularly impressed that the veteran bartender had a mixing container dedicated to their espresso martinis, so of course, we ordered a pair for $16 each (photo: https://yelp.to/VmjWNmEyk0). The green goddess dressing on the spring vegetable salad really stood out! It balanced out the sweetness of the fresh peas. I ordered the scallop and shrimp entree ($43) which came with coconut basmati rice, grilled asparagus, and a bright mango salad. I'm still thinking about the flavor on the seafood--I was practically licking the plate! My dining partner got the lamb skewer ($28) and particularly liked the side sauce it came with. We finished with the lemon tart ($13), which was like a deconstructed lemon bar. It came with a sugar cookie on the side and fresh mint. It was so good that we were scraping the bowl! The service was swift and professional. Overall, Joon's vibe is stylish, upscale, and perfect for a special night out!

The ambience is lovely...it feels high-end without being pretentious. Food choices provide something for everyone, including those with any kind of gluten sensitivity and other dietary restrictions. Our server was excellent and all of the food was outstanding. Personally, I thought that my salmon was one of the best pieces of cooked salmon I've ever had. (I prefer my salmon raw and tend to shy away from cooked salmon because it's usually overcooked and dry.) Others at the table had the duck sliders, the special oxtail soup, the burger and a different fish dish. Rave reviews all around. Cocktails were also well done! Dessert was decadent and was plenty for sharing. I will definitely visit Joon again when I'm in town.

Most recently, I visited with a group of friends after the PMC ride. Some had completed the race while others were there to support them, so we were arriving and leaving at different times. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, allowing us to swap diners in and out so we could all spend time together (something many restaurants wouldn't have been able to accommodate). They also welcomed our dog, bringing her ice water on a very hot day and plenty of treats. I wish I could remember the manager's name because he was outstanding, not just with our group, but with every guest who walked through the door. Exceptional hospitality that keeps us coming back.
