Let me start by saying I love Nation's hamburgers. We stop at this Nations when we visit my parents. This time we stopped for breakfast before we visited. I am allergic to eggs. Very allergic. I ordered hash browns with cheese, tomatoes, onions, green chiles and bacon. She asked if I wanted bread and I said sure sourdough. I got a cheese omelet with all the extras in the eggs. Sigh, ok she didn't understand me. I went to the counter and tried to explain what I wanted and repeated a few times I am allergic to eggs. They said sure let us fix this. Second round, they put tomatoes and onions and chiles on top of my original hash browns that were now cold. No cheese. And then another plate of hash browns with sourdough toast. Should I have taken it up again and tried a third time to get my order right? Maybe but at this point I was just sad. I was hungry, craving coffee (which they had run out and not replaced the carafe) and nothing was going right here. I will come back for hamburgers but I won't come back for breakfast. I so disappointed. Now I have to go somewhere else for coffee and something to eat that isn't cold or going to make me sick. read more

Not my normal nation's that I tend to get my food from, but it is on my way home, so I've only been here off and on a few times. On this visit due to a coupon, I decided on trying triple egg breakfast for the first time. And actually it was pretty good and still quite warm when I got home about 15 mins later. The proportion was quite large for its price point and I think it's a pretty decent deal overall when you compared other pot to other prices and places that serve the same or comparable. The scramble eggs were cooked to my instructions scrambled eggs "dried" so they weren't running at all. The toast was a tad soggy only because of the heat from the steam so I can't fault them for that and the Linguiça sure did hit the spot after not having any for a few years. As for the service, the cashier was patient and friendly and the cook was very prompt with cooking my order so no complaints there! read more

I usually never have problems ordering my food. This time was so different. I called my order the person was extremely rude and was not letting me say anything. So I shut up let her talk was upset cause I wasn't talking wtf! Came in Emily the manager cooking I said put cheese please that's ordered it she snapped back I know I'm no done. Ok bug last time you forgot cheese even though I paid for it. I guess I will take business else where! If your serving food.... better attitude would help...stop clapping back. read more

About 20 years ago this was a pretty ok place for a quality grease fix of burgers and fries, but today's visit ( came in for the buy one get one free coupon) confirms the Nations of yore is forever gone. The place still has a slightly grubby and dirty look to it. The counter help still looks not happy to be working there. The ole cheeseburger was a soggy and medium rare mess. The fries were soggy and cool and the six onion rings tasted of oil that was past changing time. We wont be back. read more

New remodel, new menu (for burgers). The patty has gone from a 3/4lb Giant patty to a 1/3 lb patty. Price has gone up, volume of meat has decreased. I understand all the reasonings behind it and the peeps that will say who needs 3/4 lb anyway, but shrinking your burger while calling yourself "Giant Hamburgers", Is just a weird flex. read more

Nations always has consistently good burgers and breakfast. My only complaint is lately I think they have been using "facon" (turkey bacon) which I don't like. And they have started making the omelets different from before and going with the same unfortunate method of making a egg "burrito" with the ingredients inside that most restaurants are now favoring. Go to Emil Villa's if you want a great old-fashioned style omelet in town. Other than that the food is good, with plentiful portions and the burgers aren't loaded with salt like the fast-food joints. Prices are reasonable and, oh, the pies! One slice is a meal in itself! PS: I have it on good authority that this particular location HATES having to take Door Dash orders so my advice is to go pick it up if you want it to-go. Or live with the consequences. read more

I have never had trouble ordering here. You'll get the food you've ordered how you ordered it. The pie is amazing and something you should not miss out on. read more

EMILY The manage was rude and disrespectful She screwed up my DoorDash Oder tried to blame it on them and took no accountability I had to go pick up the balance of my order I have been a customer for over 40 years and I will not go back She should be fired I have never been so disappointed in a business read more

Ordered DoorDash for Dinner got burger (cold) ordered fries okay, but the worst was the pale and raw. I'm so upset.. I was looking forward to pancakes read more

12-15 booths. Several chairs and tables. Arrived at 11am with two other friends. Enjoyed a hash brown side and a GIANT cheeseburger. WOW. I did not expect the burger to come at this size. First timer if you could tell. The location is meh, so so. Tables and booths were not exactly cleaned and wrappers/napkins littered the floor. My friend had to clean up our booth which was riddled with ketchup/mustard and trays. Food: AMAZING. For the cheap price you are paying, it's really a great deal for the amount of food you received. I'll defiantly come again, but maybe togo. read more

Still the best burger in town and I'm picky about my burgers. Very fresh. VERY delicious. We love this place!

Amazing harvest veggie burger. Would be perfect if the fries were not soggy every time we go.

The size of the burger and price kinda beats in N out in my opinion. The cheesecake strawberry pie was awesome. This place really hit the spot B sure to stop by when visiting livermore read more

Nation's has been a burger fav until the last few years. yea, blame in & outs, trueburger. et. al. the dogs are so so. discovered the brew here is cool. pour: peerless coffee (1.65) -nice body, smooth, many blends to use from. drips: -ok service. read more

stopped in here on the way back to Modesto from San Mateo I usually love Nations and the ones in both Daly City and Fremont were always good, but unfortunately this one was horrible. The lady working the grill was so heavy handed with the salt, and when I got my cheeseburger, globs of mayo were falling out of the burger...I only at half of it because I was starting to feel nauseous. I love mayo on my burgers, but it seemed like she used half a jar. read more

Best PIE ever! Great burgers, fresh fries, and the best pie. Take one to a friend. We never miss Nation's on our visits to Livermore. We ordered promptly and service was great. It's a good thing these pies are here and not 350 miles south, in my town. read more

So I walk in at 6:05 Ready for my giant two egger. The lady at the restaurant literally ignores me for 10 min while she counts every coin in her drawer. Nevermind she walked in at 5:55. Never says a word, til asks me for my order. Not a good look read more

Just super regular. Ordered and paid for bacon, got none. Habit is superior to this place.

I have been eating Nations Food since I was a teen, standing outside in a line waiting to order at the original small Nations on San Pablo Ave in Richmond Ca. I have always been a fan and faithful customer because the food, fair prices and attentive employees made it what it is or should be today, but Nations Livermore has ended that for me. In my opinion it is Not Clean, bad handling practices and food prepared sloppily by untrained or supervised employees. I have to Drive to Nations in San Ramon now where the standards are still what they have always been read more

This place is super reminiscent of an old-style diner; it's like you enter a time machine when you walk into this place. Of course, it's been forever. It's about a 10 minute drive from the college, so I'm sure they get their fair share of college students coming by because the portions are ENORMOUS. I always get the bacon cheeseburger and some fries, and I never end up finishing all of it because there's just too much lol. I guess that's a good thing because you technically get more bang for your buck, which is nice. The burgers are definitely not as good as In-N-Out or Five Guys, but they're bigger and come with more fries. They also have a variety of pies (which I've never tried), and kind of makes me think this place is trying to pull of the whole Shari's thing, but Shari's pies are a bit cheaper by the slice than they are here. It was super dirty when I last came in, but I was happy my food was so big, so I kind of disregarded that. So if you find a massive amount of unclean tables around you, you probably wont have the best dining experience here. read more

worst ever. they use to have good burgers. today the burger was awful, the.chicken tasted like boiled meat and we had to clean our table before eating. will never go back read more

Cook was wearing a face mask not covering her nose. Disgusting I told her to wear it right and left. I will not be back

Great food good burgers, good chili cheese fries, and amazing pies. As a person from a state that is known for this type of food this is one of my favorite restaurants in Livermore. read more

I loved coming here since i was a kid. They have several locations in the bay area and i remember going to the ones in Oakland when i was a kid with my dad and uncle. The location in Livermore opened, i think when i was in middle school. Recently while staying in town made a point to get dinner and breakfast here two days in a row. As usual the burgers/fries were great and the breakfast, as always was a simple diner breakfast but a good one. I would go back here and suggest this place to others. I wish nations would expand to southern california. read more

Tried this place out for the first time after moving in the neighborhood and it's walking distance. The bacon cheeseburger and salmon burger were great! We also ordered a whole coconut creme pie...however, upon eating a slice at home we realized we were given the banana creme instead of the coconut creme. It was still good, just disappointed we didn't get the pie we wanted. read more

Very slow service. Been here for 15 minutes. Bathroom needs a key. Hmmm I wonder why??? .... Stilll waaaaiiiitiing .....

I come here like once a year, the food is good but not anything to write home about. The restaurant always seems a little messy and the servers a little numb . The pies are real good otherwise this place is just average. read more

When we moved to Livermore in 2004 from San Jose, the sight of a Nation's Giant Hamburgers was comforting. The Nation's in San Jose had closed roughly about 10 years ago and I hadn't seen one since. So, naturally, I had to get "re-aquainted" with the menu. Obviously, their burgers are their signature menu item. The hot dogs are also delicious. The Breakfast is served all day, and includes all the familiar staples of breakfast in America. Easy ordering, create your own combination of meats, that will accompany the egg choices (one, two or three eggs) Pancakes, French toast (nice & thick), create your own omelettes. Surprisingly though, what I like most about the place is... THE COCONUT CREAM PIE. Pair it with a cup of coffee and your good. Nuff said... read more

For the amount you pay, and the quality of the food and service, you can't beat it. Great basic breakfast, and particularly good Burgers. Don't count it out until you've tried it. My guess is that you'll be nicely surprised like I was! read more

It was a red meat kinda day. I arrived in mid-lunch rush so I did have to wait for my Bacon Cheeseburger w/Fries and regular slice of Banana Cream Pie. I think I waited about 15 minutes. But it was frickin' hot! Fries were super hot because I couldn't resist eating them on the way home! And when I took out the tomato to feed my dog and scraped down the Miricle Whip the burger was still steaming. I usually order it with everything eventhough I dont like everything on it. But Georgie likes tomatos and lettuce. The place was busy, there were tables that needed bussing. But I had always thought you bussed it yourself and left the plates on the top of the garbage with the tray anyways. Staff was busy working and very nice. I always forget they have breakfast all day. Because their pancakes and eggs and hashbrowns looked really good! Next time! read more

I really don't get why this place, or the Nations franchise gets so many bad reviews. I have travelled around a lot and every area always says they have the best burgers. I still will put a Nations burger up against any of them. Yes I like In and Out, Yes I like Five Guys but I feel Nations is different. It is the big sloppy old fashioned burger joint that I have grown up with. So maybe I cant get it cooked animal style, and maybe I cant get 150 combinations, but the meat tastes fresh, the buns are soft and everything is good. Also, the pies are excellent. What kills me is the size. A slice is like $3.50 and it is a quarter of the pie. Holy Moly! That's a lot of pie!!!! Breakfast is also very good and reasonably priced. As you can tell, I like this joint and will continue to come time and time again. read more

Only 10 more weeks that I can eat like this and not feel as guilty! The veggie burger was pretty good, but I guess if you slather enough mayo, grilled onions, and pickles on anything it will taste good. Milkshake was disappointing, In N Out is much better. The girl who took our order was in a horribly bad mood. There were no less than 3 annoyed sighs while taking our order and then in the middle of me paying here she just walked off and disappeared without saying a word. Um, ok I guess that means we are done. The food always takes days to make, but at least it's all made to order. And you can't beat the prices! read more

I had called in my order for pick up, they said twenty minutes, I didn't get my food for another 45 minutes. It was only two burgers, and a fry. When I got home, and bit into it I felt like I was eating cardboard meat. Way overcooked. I can't cook, but I'm pretty sure I could have fried up a better burger myself. And honestly, if you knew me - that says a lot. I don't know about you, but the picture that is on here, of the plastic looking burger - looked nothing like what I ate. I'd rather eat a Big Mac. read more

Can for the buy one get one free deal. Got the bacon cheese burger with everything. Was a lot bigger than I expected and taste was great. Little messy. Fries were ok. Nations has always been my go-to place for a fully equipped burger (onion rings are great also). My experience last evening led me to write this review. I had some "new money" from the ATM and of course that means it was stuck together. Marwa told me "hey, you gave me an extra $20!!" and handed me back my extra $$ with a smile. I really appreciated the honesty, but even more so the big smile! read more
