Classic cheeseburger with fries. I like how they stack the fresh veggies in.

Nothing beats a classic cheeseburger and fries here. I like how they stack the fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and onions in the burger. Service is always quick and friendly. Plenty of parking and they open late. A lot of people do take out so there's always ample seating. Make sure you leave room for their pies. Their pies are amazing! My favorite being the banana cream pie and the coconut creme. I'll save you the trouble and recommend you just buy the whole pie instead of a slice.

Used to come here a lot when I used to live in the area before moving to SoCal. I love everything they serve here from their cheeseburgers with fries, breakfast items and pies! My favorite pie is the banana cream pie. Always return to this place when I'm in the area.

Growing up in SF, it used to be a treat to go to Nation's in Daly City as a kid to get burgers on the weekend (pre-In and Out). I remember loving the burgers and being excited over all the pie options. Having some nostalgia and craving a burger, we decided to give this location a try. The layout is a bit awkward to wait in line, especially when trying to keep a distance. If there's a few people in line, the line curves to where some booths are but it's difficult to read the menu unless you're next in line to order. They also have a sign that says for phone orders to come up to the front of the line. A lady did that which annoyed people in line since they didn't see the sign. The employee at the register told her to go back to the end of the line which she was fine with but pointed out that they have a sign saying to come to the front so it's confusing. The sign needs to get taken down or staff need to get on the same page because it seems to just be making unnecessary issues. For the burgers, I tried not to have great expectations since food from childhood always seems to taste better in memories than it does in the present. As a child, I remember the burgers seeming gigantic. It made sense that they wouldn't seem as crazy big as an adult but it was still quite filling. I got a cheeseburger with grilled onions and pickles. There was too much mayo though and I was struggling to get to the meat at times. The fries were fine. I prefer crispy style fries but these were on the soft side. The onion rings tasted alright but they weren't really flavorful and had a lot of breading. Overall, it was an okay meal. For burgers in Livermore, I'll stick with John's Char-Burger.

Unfortunately I didn't get there in time for the mochi donuts, but I did have the mochi elote cake. Wow, so good. I had to get another slice to go. The brownie cake is rich and moist. The parfait was fresh, with fruit and a honey drizzle. The lavender cookie was delicious, with a very unique flavor profile The only miss was the fresh toast it seemed a bit overcooked. The inside has a very open-concept, modern vibe that feels clean, comfortable, and welcoming. There's a good amount of seating indoors, along with some outdoor seating and umbrellas if you want to enjoy the nice weather. The food and drink menu is fairly extensive, and prices are on the moderate side, so it's worth taking a look at all of your options to find something that fits your taste and appetite. Everything I've tried so far has been tasty, satisfying, and filling. If you're dining in and order their house drip coffee, they provide a coffee mug, and the coffee is self-serve along with the available extras. If you decide to take your drip coffee to go, just keep in mind that they only offer one size of to-go cup, and it's not particularly large. If you prefer a bigger cup of coffee, you may be a little disappointed. The staff have always been friendly, welcoming, and professional during my visits. With all of the other options available in Livermore, this is definitely a place worth checking out if you're looking for a good spot downtown to grab some food and a drink.

I almost forgot we had to order first before sitting down lol. I have been on a French Toast kick recently, looking for the best French Toast in the bay. This Ube Stuffed French Toast might have a spot in the top 5. I scarfed this down in like... 10 minutes but it was so good. Ube custard wasn't overwhelming. None of this was overwhelmingly sweet even though it presents itself like a dessert. I have a sweet tooth tho so take that with a grain of salt lol. I only used a little bit of syrup but could've easily went without it. The banana in the middle was perfectly ripe and gave a nice relief of sweet freshness. Toast was thick brioche toast so not the lil flimsy slices of bread. Because this was $22 + tax and tip... I will try to recreate this at home. Their napkins had a nice message on it! Didn't remember seeing that the last time I was at a Denica's. They also have what looks like a kid area with toys? Kid table? Idk I saw it in the corner of my eye but I thought that was cool too. I had a bite of the kalua pork hash and * chefs kiss I would've been happy to order that. My lady really enjoyed the cookie butter latte as well. Will happily come back soon.

When I'm in town, Denica's is my favorite place. You have to also try their cookies!!! All their cookies are super delish!! Service is basically, you walk up to the counter and order your food. Then you pick your seat and they bring the food to you. They are pretty good at getting your food there without waiting too long. They offer free corn chips and salsa while you're waiting. During my meal at the counter, I watched her talk down to and directly order around three employees right in front of customers. A little "please," or pulling someone aside privately, would go a long way for both employee morale and the customer experience. Now for the food: it was great, if a little light on salt (though that might just be my own preference). The tacos had good flavor and just the right amount of sauce.
