Natalia gave me the best experience I've ever had with a clothing service. She was immediately warm and welcoming towards me, and even helped me outside of her usual working hours to fix my botched prom dress. She was always accessible through phone or text, and was happy to help me with any request I had for the garment. I think this is a fine place to go for basic tailoring needs, but I've never had a good experience with anything more complex. On three different occasions I've been told that what I wanted done (all having to do with shortening arm length and not seemingly THAT complex) could not be done. On two of these occasions, I had the work done at Natalia's anyway, after she came up with an aesthetically compromised fix, and it was done in a passable way (but not great). On the third occasion, I took the garment to another tailor who made it look great. I very rarely write mediocre reviews on Yelp, but I have to say that this place seems over-rated. A bit of an assembly-line feel, hurried service, and not easy to "get to yes" re: problem solving. read more

So I've been coming to Natalia for so long that I forgot my old Yelp credentials to update my review. Even if this gets flagged as a duplicate user I want people to know that she's still incredible. Fair prices, quick work, top quality, very accommodating. I bought three blouses that were $150 each. First off, I'm not really the kind of person that can afford to spend $450 on three shirts like it's nothing. I had buyer's remorse as soon as they shipped out and planned on returning them, but, as soon as I put them on, I unfortunately knew I had to keep them. They were so insanely beautiful, delicate and flattering. They did, however, fit a bit awkward in a few places because I'm not built like a California supermodel so I decided they could really benefit from a few tweaks. Before I started coming to Natalia the idea of having someone adjust half a thousand dollars of clothing would give me insane anxiety and I would suffer through the things I didn't like to not have to risk ending up in a worse situation. This was a no-brainer for me now, though. As soon as I decided what I could do to make these tops perfect I was in my car and on my way to see her! You do have to have an appointment to come in because of COVID, which I did not know because I didn't have the sense to check first. She was still very polite and let me drop my things off anyways. It's been less than a week since I've taken my items in and I already have them back in my possession. The tweaks I had her do (couple of zippers, couple of snaps, a little fabric mending) look like they should have been a part of the design all along. I had to get a button replaced and a tear fixed on the lining of my jacket and she looked at me and said, "it's too cold for you to be without your jacket. You go eat lunch and come back. I'll have it fixed for you." Charged me $7 to fix both things. read more

So I posted a couple of days ago about my disappointment in this shop. I then removed my review because I am to receive a full refund. Which at that point I didn't expect because there were parts of my dress that were done well. However, I had to take my dress to another seamstress today and when we removed the sash the entire waistline fell down..... she literally put her hand thru the hole it left. I could not believe my eyes, so yes I will take my full refund, thank you and no worries I will never go back there. The shop is easy to find and even though my alteration was only scheduled to take a few days, they called me early to let me come and pick it up. This place is incredible! I brought in my bridesmaids dress 3 weeks out and the dress was done less than a week later. The dress had a lot of taking in and the hem needed to be shortened by 4 inches. I tried on my dress two weeks before my wedding, and it was TOO BIG!! On the recommendation of a friend I went to Natalia's. Even though my friend said no appointment necessary, I called to confirm. And she said come by any time. I was suspicious! I showed up, and Natalia quickly put me in a room to try on the dress. Then she pinned it, recommended I put cups in it, and boning on the sides. I thought this was all an up-sale kind of thing. But to add the cups was only $15! And then the bustle was $10! I was told it would be ready in a week. A week later I went in and picked up my dress. It fits flawlessly and the addition of the cups and boning made for a more seamless look. My dress is beautiful, it was done when she said it would be and for all the work she put into it, I paid a measly $110. The stitching is exquisite. Thank you Natalia! I really liked her. She's not chatty, or wanting to know this or that from first appearance like some people are. I'm not chatty myself so I really liked that. I just told her what I wanted and she did it and didn't want to argue with me that it would look "too tight" or "not becoming for a young lady" like a few other alteration people have told me in town and I had to argue with them to do what I wanted. I found Natalia based on a friend's recommendation. I brought several items in June to be tailored for a conference I was attending. One of those items was a suit jacket. I needed the sleeves to be a little shorter. I paid extra to have the sleeves of this suit jacket shortened but still capable of being unbuttoned, and rolled up. It was reasonably priced and I was quoted that everything would be done in a week. The night before I was supposed to pick up everything I got a call from Natalia asking for an extension for the suit jacket sleeves. Normally I'd be fine with this, the shop was super busy when I was there, but I was leaving for my conference and couldn't pick the jacket up any later. I apologized but she was very professional and said she'd have it done, which she did. I picked everything up the next day as planned, quickly looked over everything, and left. I wore the jacket at the conference but did not roll the sleeves up (It was in Washington DC, they're very formal there). Fast forward to today, I wore the suit jacket to a presentation. I tried to roll my sleeves. The sleeves were sewn shut. I'm annoyed that I paid extra to have this done correctly and it's not. I'm more frustrated that a fast one was pulled on me. I would have used her services again because everything else was perfect. Now I won't. Check your clothes when you pay extra for certain alterations. read more

I went to Natalia's after reading several positive reviews. I wanted to tighten the waste of a nice pair of jeans. It requires cutting the jeans on the backside as well to make them fit tighter. The initial quality on the stitching of my jeans was off. I pointed it out and Natalia fixed it. When I took the jeans home I realized they were still to big. I brought them back. My jeans are now perfect. My take away: Mia hits happen. Each time I felt uncomfortable returning the jeans but Natalia was incredibly kind and committed to making the jeans fit right. This was my first time at Natalia's Alterations and Tailoring. I was so delighted to find a local tailor that knows how to get the job done quickly and professionally. I had a long maxi dress that I couldn't wear for a while since it was too long. Natalia was able to hem it and have it done to fit my schedule! It looks just as good as when I bought the dress, only now I can actually wear it since it fits me! I was very happy with the final results!
