The place is cute, but bought a cake from the display case for a birthday. The cake was nicely decorated. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet and really REALLY dry. So dry, that after we served about 1/5 of the cake, no one wanted to take the rest. We ended up throwing it away. I would have taken it back but the bakery was closed for a couple days. Honestly, very disappointed. I may go back again and see if I have a better experience with pastries, but won't order a cake again. I absolutely love Natale's. I buy a lot from here for our special occasions and also to take to peoples houses however every once in a while I will get a rude and hasty response over the phone stating "how busy they are" - it does leave a bad taste in one's mouth. I'm not sure if it's the employee there or the owner but it's pretty rude and abrupt. Once I asked if they had vegan options as I wanted to take some cupcakes for someone and they said if I wanted vegan goods I should go else where...I mean common? Every bakery is so inclusive now and it's okay if you don't wish to accommodate anyone whose vegan but one can be polite and say "we don't carry vegan goods" no need to be so condescending other times I've heard over the phone "oh we are just so busy and we can't take orders right now etc etc" - sucks that you spend your hard earned money, also rave about the products to friends and family only to get an attitude every now and again. Not cool. I've sent so many family and friends over to Natale's but the attitude of one lady over the phone is quite nasty and it has happened a couple of times now. Everyone is busy, everyone is trying to make a living, it's not what you say it's how you say it. I've also given very good reviews to Natale's bakery on Yelp in the past but speaking to your customers politely no matter what should be your priority. There are other bakeries out there who not only make great products, but they're so kind, and compassionate even when it's rush hour and if you ask them a question or 2 they respond very nicely and most importantly politely. Some people make you feel special, others make you feel like it's just business. Taking away 1 star for that reason. I rarely give any negative reviews for any business ever (you can check all my reviews on Google and Yelp and you will see), but I felt like I needed to address this.....I have even gushed about Natale's on several social media platforms/groups because I thought they deserved a mention but slightly disappointed by the customer service they exercise every now and again...people have bad days and I'm all about giving chances but maybe analyze how you are speaking to your customers. I've never been rude, never spoken back, always waited for my turn, and have been polite throughout even when I got this attitude which has been a few times now. All about that fluff! Someone brought the philly fluff cake at hubby's work and next day we trekked down summit to get 2 of these cakes! The drive was sooo worth it. It's like a bundt cake that's moist and not too sweet. The powdered sugar on top makes it even more enjoyable to eat. I must mention their superb customer service as well. They gave my son 3 halloween cookies to try and it's very rare nowadays to see mom-and-pop shops as welcoming as this place. Highly recommend the philly fluff cake! We went on my husband's birthday and picked out a handful of different pastries at random out of the case. The guy that was helping us was so patient with us and walked us through all of the options available, as well as any possible allergens. Even though we also just got pastries, he brought out a little chocolate disk that said happy birthday and was customized with my husband's name on it. Then, he even gave us a few extra treats at the end just because it was our first time there. I can't begin to express how positive our experience in Natale's was and the food is just as wonderful - all of the pastries were delicate and airy and so fresh. PHILLY. FLUFF. CAKE. If a cake was served in heaven, this would be it. There is a reason this cake has fluff in its name and it's because it tastes like how I imagine a cloud would taste. I don't know what magical science the bakers use, but it has the PERFECT balance of softness, moistness, sweetness, and of course fluffiness. The powdered sugar on top is QUALITY too and just melts into your mouth. I rarely enjoy powdered sugar, but it just works for this cake. Someone described the cake below as a cross between angel food cake and pound cake and that's the most accurate description. What a gem of a bakery!! Maybe I'm just used to high bakery prices because I've spent the last five years living in NYC + Jersey City? The prices at Natale's were extremely reasonable. I picked up a large chocolate cake for 12.99. And this was a big boy, I'm talking like a Brucie from Matilda type of chocolate cake. Something like this would have cost at least double at a bakery in Jersey City. They have a TON of selection- pastries, tarts, pies, merengues and any sort of cake that you could imagine. And every combo of icing and filling flavors available too, which I loved. Once my cake was selected, they sweetly offered to write a personal birthday message on the cake. While I waited for the baker to do that in the back at least 5 employees asked me if I was being helped. Although it was crowded when we walked in, they were extremely efficient and had me in and out in less than five minutes. Although service, efficiency, prices and selection were all ace, it's time to talk about the best part- how the cake actually tasted. Just like everything else, the cake was flawless. Thick layers of chocolate butter cream icing spread between several layers of moist vanilla cake. If not for self control, I could have probably eaten five slices in one sitting. COVID 19 Review - Since moving to the area, we haven't found the "perfect" place to get desserts. We've been moving around from bakery to bakery- but I think we have a winner. We had a last minute outdoor get together where we needed to get a cake. I stopped by Natale's Summit Bakery and now I know why the reviews are *****. First off I would like to say with COVID they only let 4 people in the store at a time, which I think is great. It is really quick in and out for most anyways, so if there is a line no need to worry. They had an amazing selection of desserts and it was so easy (and cheap) to get a really good cake, that everyone was raving about. Also would like to add, my husband love canoli and gets one at every bakery he goes to, he said these canolis were the best! Highly recommend this place to everyone! read more

Have Long been a fan of Natale's Bakery but today I left the store feeling very uncomfortable. We waited outside in a short line and then we were let in by a young person wearing a bandana, barely covering his face. As we were waiting for our order to be packed up, I realized there had to be at least 12-15 people in the small shop, all walking in front of each other with no social distancing. A few Employees behind the counter were not wearing their masks correctly, pulling them down below their nose. And last, but not least, we were handed a pen to sign our receipt that had not been sanitized or wiped down from previous customers. As a health care worker, you need to do better. You have an amazing business, you just need someone to come up with a better system to keep both your customers and your staff safe. read more

Picked up my daughter's birthday cake here on 2/1 for a weekend function. Basic chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. Simply fabulous cake, super tasty and moist. Frosting is outstanding, as well. They are known for their Philly Fluff, but trust me.....every single thing here is fabulous. There is always a long line (moves quickly though). Natale's seems to be very popular in this area. Many regulars stop in, it seems to be the go to bakery. All of their desserts seem to be very decedent, rich, and creamy, that have their customers coming back for more. The first time I stopped in, I actually passed it because the sign kind of blends in with the wall. Anyway, the reason I stopped in was to pick up a cake for a coworker I preordered for. My coworker wanted a Tres Leches cake. I personally don't know why my coworker asked for a Tres Leches cake at this spot because that cake is a Latin style cake, and this bakery is very Italian. The cake was not Tres Leches at all. Not even close. I would never recommend buying that type of cake here, however, their moose cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, cannolis, etc are great. I like this bakery overall, I just think it was a mistake to order that type of cake here. Definitely try out their other desserts though. This place is rated well for their delicious Italian cakes! Really underwhelmed by the turnovers here, they were SO bland and you can barely taste the filling and some of the tarts barely had any filling in them (very skimpy). I don't know of a better bakery within 15 miles or more. The quality is 1st class; of course with some of the prices to match. With such a high volume of business and great counter service, I am surprised that professional management is not on site. Instead, the head baker appears to be the manager who seems equipped to handle production but, absolutely ill-equipped and lousy in dealing with customers and with customer service. One such customer issue, that could have been solved some mutual minimal understanding, turned into something less pleasant for everyone in the bakery including customers both being served and those waiting for service.
