I…read moreeven called the regular store phone and when they transferred me to the pharmacy, whoever was on the phones picked up, said nothing, and hung up - as if to avoid speaking to customers. I figured I'd just refill my prescription using the automated phone line. Did that and it said my prescription would be filled by 3:45 same day. Before leaving the house, I called again to make sure it was ready before making the trip there, as I live 30 minutes away, but again, hung up on. I got to the pharmacy at 4:30 and the attendant let me know, in a very short manner, "We don't have anything here for you." I let them know the automated system said it would be ready for pick up by 3:45, to which they responded "well we need an order from the doctor." Shame on the automated system for its error in ETA and shame on the employees at the pharmacy for not answering not one of my six calls. This trip could have been prevented and I could have reached out to my doctor before their offices closed had I known. I'm going out of state tomorrow morning before the pharmacy opens and now I'll have to wait a week to pick up. Someone's needs to be educated on how to do their job, especially when they're dealing with people's medications.

I came to this store for my Covid vaccinations, because no appointments were available at…read moreHannafords in Dutchess County. The process could not have gone more smoothly. I was able make the appointment online at the Hannaford website, which typically shows stores where appointments are available over the next 5 days. Once I created a pharmacy account (I already had a grocery account) all of my medical information was automatically initialized from my last vaccine at a different Hannaford, and I was able to fill out the questionnaire online instead of at the store. I had a 1pm appointment, and when I was there, the pharmacy had 2 on staff and a 3rd returning from lunch, so hopefully the earlier reviews talking about mid-afternoon closures are a thing of the past. A couple of electronic signatures (followed by the hand sanitizer they have next to it), and done in 20 minutes, including my follow-up appointment. The waiting area is fairly large, and the chairs are spaced well. The only quirk is the vaccination "room," which looks like it was originally a storage area converted, and no larger "consultation room" as other stores now have. While I was there, I did see several other customers come in for prescription pick-ups, and the process looked like they were handled well.

Other people came to this aisle pressing the button waiting for assistance. at least 10 more minutes passed so I went to the service desk. I told the female at the service desk I have been waiting ( with others) for someone to come with the key. She claimed she would get someone. No one came. The apathy of these employees is digusting.

Today I went there as the designated location for my second Covid booster shot. They took me right on time for my appointment. The general pharmacy staff was friendly. However, of special note, the pharmacist was super friendly and efficient. Although I was already familiar with the potential side effects (since this was my forth Covid related shot) the pharmacist took extra time to explain things and was extremely attentive despite the pharmacy being extremely busy. Overall I was very impressed with the interaction today and I highly recommend this pharmacy.
