I absolutely cried real tears when I first visited NYS 2nd legalized dispensary in the Capital District. StageOne and the owners of this dispensary have a unique skillset that you won't be able to get just anywhere. As a supporter of both the legalization of medical marijuana and recreational marijuana, to know the humble beginnings of the group of individuals that started this particular dispensary is truly awe inspiring. The staff is all friendly, especially Jay, Ryan, Will (security), Jillian and Tasha. The owners ensure that the staff comes from unique and underprivileged backgrounds which makes for all the difference in having not just a staff, but a team that has been historical and monumental for Rensselaer County and also the Albany region. Thank you for providing great customer service, a nice environment, being knowledgeable on your products and transparency as well. My favorite so far is by far Method Man's TICAL brand of flower. Leaving this purely because the sales person asked me for my number several times and when I declined they asked me if I was a cop or a fed. Don't enjoy being made to feel uncomfortable and asked odd questions like that when I'm patronizing a business. Probably won't go back based on that experience. My best experience with a cannabis store EVER. Plus, it's only 5 minutes from my house. They made a mistake with my order. I called them. Within 2 hours they came over to my house to make it right. I will never go anywhere else from now on. As for selection, etc... They have plenty of choices. I've been partaking for generations now and there's plenty of variety. The store is extremely clean, like extremely. I went to the restroom and it was very clean. It's also a well-designed store. It's an easily accessible dispensary which is cool and all, but if I'm being honest the one in Schenectady is leagues better due to its better quality of selection, pricing, and overall consumer experience. The buying process in stage one is not nearly as streamlined as others I've been too, and staff seem less knowledgeable or willing to help as in other dispensaries. I cannot speak to this establishments service quality, it may be great, but unless I have to walk because my car is rendered inoperable, I'll never find out! All the prices are at least double the cost of the Massachusetts dispensaries (incl. taxes), less than 1 hr away. If the prices were only 30-50% more I may consider at least dropping in once in a while , but as the prices are 100% more, it is just not worth trying. Good luck Stage One. As soon as I walked in, I knew something was amiss. The young lady who should be in a positive mood was miserable, which was off putting. There's no line, and as I patiently waited, people who appeared to be regulars were helped before I was. The weed was ok, nothing special. But it was mass confusion. Prices and THC levels were disappointing. Better to go to Pittsfield, even though (according to the owner, it's "against the law"...lol). And they say they deliver, but then you have to pay more and tip. Schenectady dispensary isn't that good, either, but much better than this mess. read more

,Not a good reponse from owner..You learn early on in business you don't tell your customers things they already know. Yes.. I can to a pre-order, yes I can go to medical , yes i can bring more cash next time.Yes there is delivery .However as to ATM fees you can TELL THEM you want a higher cap limit for the conveinence for your cherished customers, and to eliminate any c/s issues. Also some folks prefer to use pin debit cards so they dont have to carry large amounts of cash.(Safer) I felt NYS had screwed up the whole program and want to support these stores , so I came in person to check it out....I'm sorry but people were milling around and the anxiety level increased as each new person came in..looking confused..I personally saw 2 clerks try to wait on the same person who already ordered while others stood waiting...Also the "Fulfillment Process" is the same industry wide for the most part...Most stores limit the number of customers in at one time to allieviate the confusion, and makes for a better expierience .Also Im not ashamed of buying weed , but some folks might not wanting people to see and hear what they buy because of possible robbery outside in your crime ridden city...Good luck in the future and God Bless. read more
