Today I went for milk, and left with an arm full of goodies large enough to warrant purchasing a five cent paper bag, oops. Sorry not sorry; I couldn't resist picking up some Stewart's cream soda to complement the pizza I was about to pickup down the street at Union Pizza; what can I say, I recognize the value in planning ahead for a full flavor experience. What pizza party is complete without a side of ice cream? I think the inner child in all of us can relate to that pairing. So in compliance I scooped up a gallon of "Mounds of Coconut" -- "coconut flavored ice cream with a coconut swirl and old fashioned fudge pieces" -- a flavor that debuted as a special edition a few summers ago and was so popular, customers were requesting to buy it by the giant commercial-sized tub it's made in at the Stewart's Candy Land ice cream ice cream factory. Needless to say, the fine folks at Stewart's convened and agreed to accelerate the flavor to full-time status. So, ice cream, milk, cream soda, and snacks in hand (Stewart's brand gummy worms are fire), out the door I went (after checking out with the always pleasant staff, of course). Newsflash: It's not always about us. Is your car parched and thirsty for some gasoline, or do its tires need a pep talk in the form of compressed air? Pimp your ride: Stewart's Edition. And adjacent to Ellis, sometimes this is the only place for late night provisions (my previous visit was during a hospital stay, when I ducked down here to get ibuprofen the hospital was going to charge me $9 a pill. Hey, a story for another day!) However, not wanting a visual booty call at eye level for my kids when dishing them up ice cream, we'll pass on this location in the future if there's any other alternative.

I knew when I got there the transaction was going to be a bit weird when I encountered "Insert Card" instead of the traditional "Welcome"-like message at the pump. However, I'm glad GasBuddy saved the day because they give me digital receipts right on the GasBuddy app. I knew I had accepted a GrubHub order (to deliver) and in between orders came to fill-up (having had a drop-off nearby), but this was beyond belief what happened.

The hot dogs and pizza are nasty, but the nachos and Mac and cheese bites are decent. The breakfast sandwiches are also decent. Everything is pretty cheap and it's not bad for gas station food. Overall, Cumberland Farms is an good Gas Station.

Staff have always been quick, friendly, and helpful, including the one pharmacist I've interacted with. Parking is aplenty and they have their own parking lot. Aisles are wide and clean, and the store is divided into four sections: pharmacy, checkout/customer service, medication and medical equipment, and food and beverages. They were always out of stock so they suggested the one on Balltown which I realized also had issues so I went to Wallgreen's because they were the only ones that had what I was looking for. It was a controlled substance and yet they told me on the phone they had it. I had my Dr change my pharmacy to Wallgreen's on Eastern Ave. Please don't close Wallgreen's.

We actually went in just looking for a replacement "pop-socket " and were greeted by Christian -…read morethe Manager. They didn't carry the exact item we wanted and Christian proceeded to tell us about upgrading options for our phones and internet. I was about to shut him down since I have been subjected to the hard sales pitch in the past from other similar enterprises, but something about Christian's attitude kept us interested He gave us options for upgrading our phones, which we weren't interested in, but then he started explaining to us some Internet options since we are currently with a competitor and he had mentioned he could do much better than their pricing. I must say that Christian was great to deal with. He wasn't pushy or overbearing he was not into the hard sell. He clearly was looking for ways to help us reduce our cost for service services. We listened to what he said, and agreed to a trial run, which he said would be at no charge, which I found extremely interesting. He then gave us his personal cell number and said if we had any issues or questions he would be glad to help. Christian made this a personal experience rather than a corporate shoving it down your throat experience. If everything works out as he explained it would Verizon would get a new customer for Internet and if it doesn't work out as he said, he mentioned that he could easily reverse anything that had been set up without us receiving any bills for it. So far we highly recommend Christian and this particular branch of Verizon. Hopefully everything he discussed will prove to be accurate but at least for now we are quite happy with his presentation.
