Great flavors. We tried the three margaritas, Tulsi, Cardamom and Curry. They were so great we couldn't pick a favorite. The veggie samosas, chicken tikka masala and the goat tacos were fantastic. read more

I love their Dahl soup. It is the perfect lentil soup that always satisfies my craving. I've been in there twice and both times service was pleasant and welcoming. read more

I want to start by saying I love the ambiance of this place. It's neat on the inside and out, and it's extremely cozy inside. The prices are steep for food that is pretty underwhelming, you're paying for the atmosphere. read more

They call their food a "Tex-Mex-Indo" fusion, but all of it seemed like a great confusion. Tacos with Indian dal and guacamole. Biryani with "crispy rice" that was recycled from the night before. And, to top all this, their extravagant pricing. An eatout that will totally spoil your Friday night. Not recommended! read more

Can't speak more highly about this place. This is my GO TO. As a vegan, my options are limited. They have a great vegan menu. The staff is wonderful too. read more

A group of friends and I visited this restaurant a few days ago. I've had Indian food from many restaurants in the states, both authentic and very mainstream. I ate at Nasha and was thoroughly unimpressed. Couple points that made it a poor experience: - they did not have rice, but did substitute free naan instead (which was very nice of them) - two people at our table ordered the same dish, but got very different looking and tasting dishes - dishes tasted like they used canned or frozen veggies rather than fresh - we ordered about six or seven of their ten dishes. The only one that we enjoyed was the korma. The remainder of the dishes left strange tastes, smells, or were just too bland for Indian food. It was a cute place, and the servers were very nice, but I don't think I would eat the food there again. read more

I ordered the shrimp tacos, and the lady asked if I wanted spicy or not, I said no. The food was so spicy I could not eat it, my lips got swollen, and that was "not spicy" First time eating Indian food, was the worst experience ever read more

Best Indian food in Austin. My husband is from India and we were thrilled to find this place. We've been twice in the past week. The traditional dishes are spot on. Paneer Korma is to die for. I like that the ambiance is low key. It feels very authentic. This is a little known gem of a restaurant where you can still usually find seating even during busy times. Service is also really good. read more

I don't think a lot of people know about this place which is both a curse and a blessing. I ordered take out which was ready in less than 20 minutes and I noticed that there were only one or two tables when I went to pick it up. This, however, says nothing about the quality of their food or service. The lamb samosas, which seem to come highly recommended by many fellow Yelpers, were not a disappointment. I loved the sauces they came with as well. I also tried the Malvani roasted coconut curry sauce with goat and it was delicious. I'd love to go back and try the rest of the menu! read more

Pretty disappointing. I got a veggie coconut curry that was literally 4 bites of cauliflower, some sauce and a couple of carrots. Veggie samosas were okay. All in all: why does good Indian food have to be so far away from me? I had such high hopes. read more

Yelp says Indian however their menu boasts Tex Mex Indian. I was dubious as I read that, not gonna lie. But much to my chagrin, the food meshed well, it was beautifully executed, and spice levels were on point. Jalapeno naan??? Why the eff not. read more

Ordered to go from Nasha India and was very disappointed. We ordered 2 Garlic Nan Breads (thankfully), one was burnt and one was cooked correctly. The edible Nan was pretty good. We got an order of Veg Puff Samosas and Lamb Puff Samosas, which were labeled in correctly in their bags, (good thing one of us isn't a vegetarian). The Veg Puff Somosas were pretty good, the lamb was awful, had no flavor and was soaked in grease. For the entrées, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was TERRIBLE! I paid $11 for way too much rice and 5 chunks of quarter sized chicken in a ton of flavorless Tikka Masala sauce. This is the worst Tikka Masala I have ever had. My sister ordered the Millionaires Curry and she really liked it, but agreed that the Tikka Masala was just gross. I paid $40.00 for items I could have gotten at a "fast food" Indian restaurant for half the price that tastes way better. read more

Nasha - The good Garlic Nan and burnt Galic Nan we received with our to-go order. - Indian Near Me - Austin, Texas

I had the chicken biryani, the curried margarita, and the cardamom margarita the first time I was here. All were delicious. Today I tried the fish malvani tacos and mango mamosa. Again, I was not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is great. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Austin and I think I'll be turning into a regular customer. read more

So I lived in the northwest were this is a very popular type of food. And I was not a fan. But I wanted to give it a try here in Austin. I was very surprised and enjoyed my meal. I had the coconut curry and it was amazing I tried some of my friends marsala and normally I have had it where it is not so good but this one was a little sweet and I enjoyed that as well. I had a curry Margarita and that was also yummy. The service was amazing even when they were busy. I for sure will be back and its so close to home so excited. read more

Lamb masala & korma was really good. Wish they served some more quantity per dish, as we would have finished it all, it was awesome! Haven't tried everything yet but will definitely come back to try more. read more

Other reviewers mentioned it as well their is no depth of flavor which is what I love about indian food. Two stars for me means I would only eat if free and would still prefer to eat elsewhere and pay. Wish I had an alternative. Graj mahal feel off a cliff after their move. Clay pit is fine. No great indian in austin imo. Whoever said their british friend liked it id like to meet. London has some of the best indian ive had anywhere this is a one star compared to that. Go to kebabalicious instead its right up the street. read more

Cool fusion menu concept offering both Mexican and Indian cuisine options, complimented by a full bar. The location is excellent, and it offers relatively late night hours. Strikes a nice balance between complex flavors and approachability, making it a solid date destination. read more

I came here with three friends on Saturday night. Two of us are Indian. Myself and my other Indian friend ordered dishes as "hot" and they came out so spicy they were inedible and we had to send them back. Our other, non-Desi, friend's food was completely edible. A real head scratcher there. Our thought is that they took one look at us and bumped our order up to Desi Spicy, which of course was not what we ordered. Anyway, I don't know any Desis who would have enjoyed those dishes as hot as they were. Dishes are a mix of south and north Indian, so keep that in mind when ordering. My friend and I are north Indian and inadvertently ordered a south Indian dish and it was a bit off-putting. So, just beware that this is not a regional cuisine. Overall, an okay experience. Service was okay. I won't be rushing back as I'm still on the hunt for legit Indian cuisine in Austin. read more

YUMMMM. I love this place. I also love that the thieves make the creamy curries with Cashew milk instead of cow milk since I am a little sensitive. Everything here is delicious, my bf who hated Indian food loves this place. The only bad is that I'm not a fan of their margaritas. They are a little low on alcohol. Just a personal opinion though:) read more

Good food! Nice, chill atmosphere. The wait staff was really friendly. Prices were good! Parking in the back. Its a small place, but we didnt have any trouble with seating or parking. read more

Great place. I actually prefer it to g'raj. The curries are tasty and the naan is delicious. I wish they would add coconut naan to the menu :) but otherwise, everything is good. They also have a lot of gluten free and vegan options so my friend was able to find something and was happy with it. read more

If you have food allergies, don't trust this place. Honestly, don't trust this place, period. I just had a super messed up experience with a pickup order here. We confirmed a severe nut allergy multiple times over the phone and in person when we came to pick up. The guy swore that the menu was accurate when it came to allergy notation, used the menu to confirm that everything we ordered was fine, and said that he had also gone back to talk to the kitchen. We got home and opened up the packages and found out that the tacos come with a bunch of unlabeled containers of sauce. I called once more before I ate anything, and after more conversation, the kitchen finally mentioned that the dish we ordered comes with cashew sauce (again: not noted on the menu). If I had eaten it, I'd be in the hospital. I didn't even get an apology; instead, I had to beg for a refund on the food I couldn't eat ("can't you just eat the rest?") and got a lecture that making these kinds of mistakes on "allergy stuff" was totally standard for most restaurants. I've worked in food service. Believe me: this is not totally standard. If my spidey sense hadn't kicked in I'd be in the hospital right now. It's especially surprising because they make such a big deal of being super accommodating of dietary restrictions! It's too bad, because the reviews were great and we were really excited to try Nasha, but this was just shockingly poorly handled start to finish. read more

Nice place with great food options, wish the servers were more accommodating and friendly. Would visit for the good food, spice levels!

Really enjoyed our experience at Nasha! The curried margarita was great and spicy. The service was quick. It is a bit expensive for the portion sizes but I'd recommend! read more

Last Saturday me, my sister, and her boyfriend were on the east side celebrating a friend's birthday. About 7 Jamesons, some beers, and shots later, we found ourselves abruptly leaving our friends on a mission to find our car and some food (my sister was the DD). We stumbled upon Nasha. Ordered I have no idea what. I was in rare form. The young lady that was the hostess, bartender, and server was really nice and patient. All I remember was eating the food like I hadn't eaten in years. My sister and her BF said that it was good but the portions of meat were a little small. Probably because I ate more than my fair share. At least I paid. It was delicious. So good, in fact, that I promised a 5 start Yelp review. I want to go back and try them again...sober. read more

This is the most Austin place I've been to in a while. Indian-Mexican fusion. Who would have thought that these two disparate cuisines can meld into such awesomeness. My favorite was the Tikka Con Queso. Seriously, why have I never thought of that before?! It was such a cool Austin place, open late and totally hipstery with unique food. Nasha is doing its job to Keep Austin Weird. read more

I'll be honest--I'm new to Indian food, but this place has blown me away both times I've been. The coconut curry was a beautiful blend of sweet and savory. The lunch special is a great sampling of dishes and includes a dessert. The staff is always friendly and explains dishes to newbies without condescension. This is my new favorite lunch spot! read more

I was not impressed with this place. Nothing about this place is authentic.I tried their tikka con queso, and it was nothing spectacular. I actually didn't like it at all. I also tried their Millennium chicken curry. This dish was just okay. The chicken was tender which is a plus, but the curry itself was just average. I had garlic naan and it seemed like it was stale. It was hard for me to bite it and it was very chewy. Also, I took my order to go. Maybe, thats why the naan seemed stale I am not sure. It may be a different experience dinning in. read more

My companion and I are both veterans of Indian cuisine and have been in love with New India on South Congress for quite some time. Nasha appears to be an offspring of that restaurant. Nasha has a shorter menu with some crossover items from New India, but with the twist of some fantastic Indian "tacos" served very much in the Tex-Mex style. My lamb vindaloo curry was above average but lacked some seasoning. I ordered it mild, but it probably should have been salted at some point. My friend's chicken tandoori tacos were a huge hit. Served on double corn tortillas, they were a total delight. Excellent nan rounded out my meal. The dining room is clean and smartly decorated, but it is a tad small and the darkness of the space made me slightly claustrophobic. There is a small deck for those who prefer dining out of doors. Although New India is closer to us, we will be back to Nasha for those tacos. read more

First time eating here - my only note is that the Vindaloo was DELICIOUS, but I'm glad I also ordered Naan (Garlic, also delicious). That's because I ordered the Vindaloo as medium and it was the kind of spicy where you end up continuing to eat it so that that the afterburn is canceled out. Y'know: the "shovel and eat to beat the heat" method. The naan helped immensely with that. I'll be back, I'll just watch the spice level! read more

Ordered Coconut Curry, Potato Wada, Paneer Tikka Masala all medium spice - still felt the spice level to be low mild. Coconut Curry was horrible, Wada and Paneer Tikka were edible but not 100% read more

Heat on the lamb vindaloo was just right and the meat was so tender ( could have used more than 2 potatoes in this dish hint hint!)! The curried margarita was unusual and delicious, the metal dishes and glasses were a fun touch and our waitress was very cheerful! No wait ( yet!) and a lovely patio to boot! But please Nasha - enough with the Christmas music! Come and give this place a try and support my Eastside neighborhood! Good luck to them - I will be back! read more

Visited this place after like 2 years. The first 2 times I was here, I either didn't like the taste of the food or had bad experience with the waitress. So, I decided I would give them another try after 2 years. But to my horror, this place has gotten worse! We were greeted by dead cockroaches all around the main entrance door. We waited for approx 10 mins to be seated. 15 mins to take the order. The owner and the waitress both were having a good chat and neither came forward to take the order. We had the thali and that's probably the worst food I've had in a while. The so called Millionaire's curry was stale. Naan were dry and hard to chew. Basmati rice was soggy n sticky. Sheera was definitely spoit n rotten. I would never recommend this to anyone and would never go back! Sorry Mr. Mahesh I thought you would've done things right and taken care of the hygiene and cleanliness of the place. But unfortunately you haven't! read more

Not too cultured here in the Indian realm. I have been 4 times now, always ordered either vegan or vegetarian and loved it every time! I usually only Yelp if it's real good or real bad so this is a great one. Skip the buffet, get some quality for fair pricing, and maybe you'll get lucky and have Brit take care of you too! read more

The staff is friendly, the patio area is accommodating, and as a non-vegetarian, I really liked their kale with chana dal. The portions are generous, and Nasha is a pleasant place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. If you like spicy, order a level spicier than you're used to here. The medium spiciness wasn't spicy at all to me, but you know, different strokes. I'll up it to crazy person spicy when I return! read more

Food was great service from Tatiana!! Was very rude. I waited 10min for my togo order that was staring at me. As soon as I walked through the door this Lady had an attitude. She decided to get the order of a table of 3 before just letting me get my food. Then she went to the back to do God knows what while I was still staring at my food. I even witnessed her talk down to the table of three because someone didn't understand the different curries. I've never been here before and I won't return. Its sad because good food doesn't justify rude, lazy service. read more

I love this place. My girlfriend and I get take out here so much that several of the very friendly staff now know my name. I always get the chicken tikka masala (get it hot or desi hot if you like spice!). I usually also get the Aloo Gobi which is probably the best of its kind I've had anywhere. They have a really lovely patio area if you want to bring a dog and have some very interesting cocktails. Can't recommend this place enough. read more
