It's ok. Good options for dietary restrictions. The dishes fall flat on flavor though, and they charge for every basic sauce. Small portions, and they don't even give enough rice to finish the main dish. Which Indian place skimps in the rice? Unless you have dietary restrictions, this is overpriced and mediocre. I wouldn't come back here. read more

Great food! They have really improved since they first opened. I prefer the curries over the Mexican-Indian fusion-type of food that they have but at least they are trying something different. Ambience can be on the loud side (acoustics) but that's the only drawback for me. read more

One of the best Indian places I've been to. The curries have subtle flavors and hints to them; in sharp contrast to some Indian places that add tones of spices to make their food seem more authentic. The subtle flavors at Nasha do the trick and make for a wonderful Indian meal. Too bad, that I could visit this place only once during my stay at Austin. Most definitely a place to visit! read more

I came here because I am always up for trying a new indian spot in hopes for a more authentic food experience. The location is probably what makes this place is a hit. Portions are small for the price. Side sauces are not authentic in taste and they are also watery which was a huge turn off. Food was also more spicy than expected/ordered even though I am one for very spicy food. It just overpowered the dish and I couldn't really taste the flavor. I give this place 3 stars for being quick, conveniently located and open late. Will stick with Tärka as id rather know what to expect with flavor and have plentiful portions. read more

This was a weird place. The decor is great and colorful- and the samosas were tasty. The -2 stars come from the watery, too-experimental curry which had overwhelming flavors that weren't good. I got the coconut chicken curry and it was just...watery. I could barely finish my meal and filled up on rice instead. They also really need to fix their sofa gun- my coke was essentially water - not that I'm minusing stars for that- just pointing out that everything was really thin and not ... just not great. I likely wouldn't come back... read more

Love this place! I've been here a few times and the food has always been consistently good. We've ordered multiple dishes with various kinds of meat, and everything has been delicious. Atmosphere is also a plus! Would recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for casual Indian food with a nice-sized menu. read more

I like the special lunch platter, that comes with a little of everything. I especially like the channa masala. The millionaires curry is ok, but not my favorite. If I hadn't been going to Saffron on Far West lately, I would probably give this more stars, but I can't. It's ok, good for a quick different lunch at a reasonable price, but not the tops in the category. read more

Incredibly tasty. Comfortable and fun environment. Hands down the best Indian food in ATX. Will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic! I had the egg burgi tacos and they were delicious. A word of caution, the regular spicy is still pretty spicy with my meal so unless you can handle some serious heat, just order the regular. We also had mango mimosas and they were absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend coming here, especially for brunch. I also noticed some sweet daily drink specials so there's that also. read more

We tried the ghati masala dal, sprouts bhaji and malvani roasted coconut curry along with chapathi and rice. It was delicious. Do checkout the krishna graffitti on the walls outside the restaurant. Nice location. read more

I would come back again just for the clearly marked vegan dishes (thank you!!), but I will come back OFTEN because the food was absolutely fantastic and the happy hour specials were great. read more

The millionaire curry was too spicy to eat and the vegetable samosas were soggy and undercooked. Plus I had to wait 15 mins for my order while it was already prepared. read more

We are huge fans of Indian food and this great spot exceeded our high expectations. From the really cool steel stemware and plates to the unique cocktails to the very well made food I am happy to give this my highest rating. Very friendly owner and staff. An East Austin gem. read more

What a great find on East 7th. Nasha has great prices for authentic Indian cuisine with a hippie East Austin flair. We had the Malvani Roasted Coconut Curry with lamb and Shahi Korma with chicken and shared both items ($13 & $11). We tried the paneer nan ($3.50) and Veg Puff Samosas ($4) appetizers. Also tossed in bottle of cab ($19), Total check price was $52. Dinner for 2 at those prices is almost unheard of in Austin these days. Our server, Marshall, was very helpful and friendly. Everything came on little silver platters which added a stylish touch. We sat inside due to rain concerns, but will be looking forward to the patio dining next time. read more

Tasty food, good vibe. I HIGHLY recommend the briyani. I would recommend they plant something as a sound barrier (or put in some tall potted plants) b/c the noise from 7th is quite loud on the patio. read more

My friend just took me here for my birthday dinner because it is one of her favorite restaurants in Austin. We had lamb samosas and tikka queso. The food here is insanely tasty, the outdoor seating (and indoor) is so sweet and the vibe is kind and welcoming and down to earth. Unique, delicious, fun! read more

I ordered the Verde Masala dish and bearly did I take a spoonful when my tastebuds were on fire. I almost choked. I ordered "hot" because when I asked the waitress basically if that one was "bearable" she just nodded and said yeah there's another one that's the hottest. but that was it, without even explaining or warning that it could be extremely hot. this wasn't the issue though. typically when you don't like a dish at restaurant, they always accommodate guests and exchange dishes for whatever else you might want. they refused to exchange my plate stating that they don't do "refunds" based on "hotness level". they didn't care at all about me. people go to restaurants for the experience not just the food. these people completely ruined my experience and perception of them. so if you go, make sure to ask the waitress to carefully explain hotness levels of the sauce and also make sure you like what you eat because if not then tough shit, they won't exchange your plate or give you a refund. I only got a refund because I had to tell her I refused to pay for my plate. If your guests didn't like a dish, they are in their full right to exchange it for another one. Customer service will take you a long way ;) read more

Excellent food! Best Indian we've found in Austin so far. Little light on the sauce for the enchiladas.

Wow! The Tikka Masala is made with almond and cashew butter and is incredible! They have a great cocktail menu and the water and cocktails are served in traditional-looking, hammered metal cups. The naan is yummy and they have a fantastic salsa. They also have a lot of vegetarian options. The place is in a cool part of east Austin and they allow dogs on the patio. read more

Awesome Indian food on Austin's east side! And they're open late! Booze too! Just a skip and a jump from the bars on East 6th, this place occupies the space where Casa Colombia used to be on 7th. I am thrilled to know that it's owned by the folks who own New India on South Congress. Like New India, Nasha serves up reasonably priced dishes and drinks. Friendly staff, nice spice, and prime location - I'll definitely be going back. read more

Delicious Indian food! My co-worker and I discovered this place about two months ago and have been back almost weekly since then. The curries are excellent. I think we have now tried them all. The korma is my favorite. The samosas and nan are good and the service as been extremely friendly and efficient. Can't wait to try them out for happy hour! read more

Megan at Nasha led us through the diverse and interesting menu. She steered us in the right direction with a lamb samosa appetizer followed by the chicken vindaloo and millionaires curry with lamb. Spicy, savory deliciousness with a side of garlic naan. The cocktail menu looks adventurous and we will be back!! read more

Was craving Indian food since arriving in Austin and this was lovely. Samosas and curry were OK but the naans were the best. Crispy and delicious. Great staff, great music and nice atmosphere. read more

My absolute favorite Indian Restaurant in Austin. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. They recognize us every time!

It was nice to see a menu at an Indian restaurant with more than the typical dishes. Tried the Millionaire Curry and the Mumbai one and both were good and had a nice spicy flavor. Atmosphere here was good and so was the service. Had no issue with parking. My biggest complaint, however, was the tiny portion sizes. The curries barely had 3-4 pieces of chicken in it, which is far from enough. I was starving soon after. The $1 to substitute for brown rice was ridiculous as well, especially after you see the portion size of the rice. Go if you like small portions. Skip if you have an appetite. read more

I really like Nasha for late night bites. My wife and I are working our way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Some of our highlights are definitely the lamb saag and the millionaire curry with chicken. We also always go for the potato cake wada, but they seem to sell out of this one! All the chef specials we have tried have been great as well. The ground lamb dish is a solid choice and we liked the poached egg curry for something a little off the beaten path. The staff is great and friendly! This is a great neighborhood spot to eat cozy clean Indian food and to feel like a regular. read more

The food came in pretty small portions for the price; this worked out since it wasn't that good. Service was okay, but the server did that awkward thing where they correct your pronunciation by repeating what you said a different way. While talking outside after my meal, I saw a few times in which unprepared food was carried in the cooks' aprons. I don't know if that's bad, but it seemed sketchy. read more

I first suspected this might not be authentic Indian food while reading the menu - naan was spelled as "nan." Then there was the 60s pop music playing while Hispanic staff worked the back. No Indian clientele either. Place was clean and food seemed fresh though. Friendly staff, but would not return or recommend. read more

Great food, great service! Get out of the box and eat something different! I had the millionaire curry and nan and it was nothing short of music to my mouth. Laid back vibe and easy to get to. I'll definitely come back again. read more

Let me preface this. I am Indian. I love Indian food. I love Nasha. SO good! We ate at the restaurant once and it was fantastic. We usually take it to go new and chow down at home , for comfort. I would say that their portions are a little small and that is why I only give them four stars. One of the better Indian food places in Austin, although I must say Indian food in Austin is overall below average. read more

I am a die-hard fan of this place, I have spent so many late nights here! I come around 10pm after work. My favorite meal in town is here. But the food quality and cooking consistency seem to be going down. Hopefully the cooks will be retrained. Who knows, maybe it is just one Cook who gets tired at the end of the night.... I give big props to the staff, menu and concept. The taco dishes used to be perfect. Now a chicken taco that used to have caramelized onions and peppers, sweet and browned, has *raw* chopped onions and peppers. The chicken used to be tender and juicy and cut in small chunks with tandoori flavor. Now it is dry and shredded in long strips without much seasoning. The dish seems more like budget typical Mexican food than amazing Indian fusion. The kind of taco you'd get at a taco truck piled with cilantro and raw onion, more abt protein quantity and speed than subtle flavor. I really hope the kitchen gets back on its game with this chicken tandoori taco plate because it was amazing. The right balance of ingredients goes a long way with this one. The chana dal is also way too salty tonight. Your kitchen used to flavor this perfectly. I learned to make it at home exactly like here because I love it. Please restore to former glory. The garlic nan and tulsi margarita were phenomenal. Thanks! read more

Great vibe and good customer service on phone. We got takeout. However chef forgot or made weird choice not to crush up cloves in biryani and me and bae picked out dozens of whole cloves from our dish. Still chewed some by accident which numbs the mouth. read more

Stay away!!! Worst customer service, food is literal garbage. Honestly the worst restaurant I have ever been to. So disgusting. Don't waste your money! This is not indian food. read more

My new favorite Indian restaurant in Austin. The drinks are delicious and they had my very favorite jalapeño margarita with a curry leaf as a twist. The lamb enchiladas were also incredible . Such a yummy way to spend lunch with my sweet boyfriend. The server was very attentive . Would come here for a Sunday funday or a happy hour anytime !!! read more

The food was good, but the service convinced me that I would only order takeout from here in the future. We were seated outside on a chilly night without being offered the opportunity to wait for a table inside or to be seated at the bar (I admit I could have been more insistent about this...that's on me). We were seated under a gas heater, but there was never an offer to turn it on. There were long waits between every stage of the dinner ordering process. I found myself having to head into the restaurant to find our waitress to deliver flatware after she had dropped off the food. It just felt like the staff really did not prioritize creating a welcoming environment. So fine. We won't come back. read more

I love this restaurant so much! Amazing food, great service, great Happy our deals, the location isn't the best but this is definitely a hidden gem in what I'm sure is an overwhelming sea of Austin restaurants. I'm happy to come back again and again. read more
