We came to Tikka House around 6:30pm and got seated right away. Turns out we grabbed the last open table before the rush hit. Just know that it's paid parking, but they do validate for 2 hours if you scan the QR code near the front entrance. The food took a little long to come out, but once everything arrived, it was clear why. The garlic naan was a standout. It was thin, buttery, fluffy, and lightly crisp. Easily the best I've had. We ordered the chicken korma and chicken vindaloo, both flavorful and well-balanced, with tender chicken all around. The space is modern, very clean, and has a solid bar setup. My husband's smoked old fashioned was a nice surprise and actually added depth to the drink. Only 10 minutes from home, and it's already our new go-to Indian spot.

I found my new favorite dish here: alleppey prawns. The sauce is creamy. It has coconut and mango in it but none of the flavors is overpowering.

We came in for lunch and the place was packed with a few other groups waiting to be seated (Always a good sign). The parking situation is pretty bad, and you have to pay $15 to park! Yikes We were seated after about 10-15 minutes and we ordered a mango lassi that was rich, creamy and delicious! We also ordered vegetable samosa, gobi as our appetizer. The samosa was crispy with a good filling, the gobi was also good. We ordered butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and naan for our meal. The butter chicken was good, but they were cheap with the chicken, there were only 5 pieces of small little pieces, the rest was a pot of sauce. The lamb vindaloo was also good with a few more pieces of meat, but they added potatoes as a filler. Overall good, but they need to stop scrimping out on the meat.

First time here on a Saturday for the lunch buffet. We were the only people there between 11am and 11:45am, but that means it was all to us. Service was very friendly and the ambiance was nice. The food was pretty awesome! Everything on the buffet was very hot and spiced well. I like that they even added some heat to the dishes which is not usual for buffet items. I tried everything they had and it was all great! For sure will be back.

You can plainly see where I parked there's no signs none and you can see the sign for the restaurant

Cozy inside, parking validation. The waitress was very nice, and attentive. My husband and I ordered: -papdi chaat -vegetable samosa -Punjabi Paneer Makhani -Baingan Saraf -Garlic Naan -chai tea We liked the food a lot, Papdi Chaat was really good, I've been looking for good chaat and this definitely hit the spot for me. Chai tea is not sweetened, great for me, but if you like sweet chai, you should ask to be sweetened! The curries were good, a bit too creamy for my liking (dairies can feel a bit heavy for me sometimes), but it was good otherwise. The naan was a little bit greasy, so if you don't like greasy food, you should ask for no butter. Good food, good vibe, and I appreciate validating the parking!

First time coming to this Indian restaurant! Outside was just normal but inside was pretty nice and cozy vibe! The staff were friendly and directed us to the table. She gave us recommendations for vegetarian and we took her advice. We got a cut of chai tea and samosa and papdichaat for appetizer which were quite filling stuffs! There's hint of spiciness in samosa and it was my spice tolerance limit of the night! I enjoyed the tartness of papdichaat with tamarin and avocado sauce! For our main meals, we got a plate of garlic naan , Punjabi paneer makhani and baingan saraf. They came with rice for curry tho! The main dishes were good but personally they can be improved a little more. There's mushroom seasonings and if they put a little of it, I think that'll complete the taste of it. Anyways, we had a good time and keep up the good work there. Cheers

I was excited to try this new Indian place as there aren't many good Indian options in south Austin. The ambience is good. Looks like they inherited the furniture/decor Elementary had. Service was a bit slow, but that's understandable because it's a very new restaurant. Food was good too. Tried the veg kolhapuri curry, which is not available in a lot of restaurants. My complain would be the curry to vegetables ratio! Same with the chicken tikka masala - lot of curry, but just 3-4 small chicken pieces. But both tasted great. Naan was perfect too. Malai kulfi was a winner.

This place deserves the good reviews it has! Everything we had was super tasty. Loved the chicken korma and Tikka masala, the dishes look smallish but there's plenty of curry and chicken in there, enough that we have more for another meal (after appetizers). I loved each of the appetizers, but the chaat was my favorite. Don't skip on the chaat if you've never tried it before. Was told the papdi chaat was popular and I can see why. Garlic naan was perfect - warm and crispy on the outside/chewy on the inside. The inside of the restaurant was clean and modern. Service was incredibly friendly and quick. A little on the loud side but could easily hear people at the table. Parking was easy, a huge lot (more in the back). They validate parking, so don't pay before you get in the restaurant. And on top of all that the price isn't exorbitant as is typical in this part of Austin. Overall if recommend to anyone seeking Indian food in or near Austin!

Really enjoyed dinner!! Great service and the restaurant validates parking. We ordered Scallops, Lamb Biryani, Lamb Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan, Paratha, the Fresh Lime Soda and the Mango Lassi. Literally everything was great, but the Garlic Naan, Lamb Biryani and Scallops (not pictured) stole the show. Will be back for more!!

We ordered take out last night. The appetizer was amazing, ordered the roti pe boti. For main course it was chicken biryani and chicken xacuti medium spicy. Even then the spice level was quite high. The biryani chicken was dry and chewy.

When I walked into Tandoori Lounge, I was immediately transported back to my time in India. The atmosphere is sultry and seductive. You are drawn in my the dimly lit restaurant with warm soothing colors. You hear this soft intoxicating music as you take in these tiny table lamps. We were all in! I met a Yelp friend for dinner that I had not seen for quite some time. It was great catching up! As you walked in, you could smell a hint of the aroma of spices coming from the kitchen. Is it possible that everything you eat or drink is exceptional? Can service be at the highest possible level? Yes and Yes! We ordered the onion kulcha and garlic naan as appetizers. They were fresh, hot, soft and super flavorful. You could taste the onions in the kulcha and the garlic was pronounced in the garlic naan. We both ordered the lamb/goat marsala (medium for me and mild for my friend). The entrée was an explosion of flavors in your mouth...so good! The entrée was rich and enjoyable to eat without being heavy. It came with basmati rice where the kernels did not stick to each other. The rice was airy and fluffy. My friend ordered an Indian beer. When in India, Indian beer is a staple. I ordered a lemon drop martini. This was the best martini I have had in a very long time. Shamu, the bartender, came over to our table to explain what other martinis he could make that were not on the menu. The Lemon Drop martini was ice cold (loved that), smooth and perfectly blended. Shamu said that the glass was first chilled before the martini was poured. Drinking narvana... Riya, our server, was so sweet and kind. She was meticulous in serving our table - water constantly refilled, lemons delivered and food strategically placed on the table. Riya suggested our entrée as the most popular dish. We absolutely understand why. I am not sure why we have never eaten at Tandoori. I definitely will be returning when I am back in the South part of the city.
