Third deal summary for same vehicle
    Varunee W.

I don't usually leave Yelp reviews, but I'm sharing this so other buyers are aware. I contacted Nash Auto in Costa Mesa about a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition VIN WVGRV7AX2HK009632 and worked with Marcy Hernandez. From the start, I was clear that I was ready to move forward and simply needed a clean, transparent out the door or otd price in writing before coming in. I was told the numbers weren't finalized because they didn't have my zip code and that what I had received was "just a quote." After I provided my zip code and continued asking for a corrected itemized otd, I was sent multiple deal summaries for the same vehicle, each with different numbers. The $11,234.54 otd figure only appeared after I specifically asked for the warranty to be removed so the deal would be straightforward. I was then told the GM had "discounted" it, but no updated written breakdown reflecting that change was ever provided. Despite repeatedly asking for transparency, additional deal summaries followed showing completely different figures including over $17k and then $15k listed as "cash down," higher taxes and fees, and thousands of dollars in "additional products" that were never discussed or agreed to. This was all for the same vehicle, same vin. When I again asked for a clear, accurate itemized otd in writing, communication stopped. Shortly after, I was told the vehicle had been sold. However, later the same day a friend called the dealership and spoke with Lynn who said the same Tiguan was still available and attempted to schedule an appointment. I was also contacted by Marcy separately about another vehicle supposedly "coming in tomorrow." I have screenshots of the texts and every deal summary showing these inconsistencies. I walked away. Being unable to obtain a single clear otd despite repeatedly asking and combined with shifting numbers and conflicting statements about availability were major red flags. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and carefully verifying the math if you consider buying here.

My husband and I were in search of a Volvo XC90 and saw that Nash Auto had a few in their inventory. We sent an inquiry and Tito Ortiz contacted me right away! He was very helpful through out the whole process and answered all of my questions very quickly. They helped so much with getting me approved and making sure I had an affordable monthly payment. They made the car buying process so easy! We're so happy to have driven away in our 2020 Volvo XC90. Will definitely be recommending to everyone!

Was in the market for a Truck and came across this family owned company located in Costa Mesa! All the truck offered were equipped with lift kits and rims and tires. Ended up walking away with 24" Tundra - EXTREMELY HAPPY with this truck. Has all the bells and whistles! Big shout out to Marcy for coordinating everything over the phone. She was very communicative and responsive to all my questions and concerns! Matt closed the deal and Leila smoothed out all wrinkles! The Team at this dealership really caters to the customer and they make sure all Ts are crossed and I's dotted. Thank you again and special shout out to Leila!

Just bought my new car! Thanks Matt!

Just bought a new car thanks to Matt! Kept us within our budget! Never had such a seamless car buying experience

Thank you, Nash Auto! And a special shout out to Frank, who was with me every step of the way. I called inquiring about a car that was posted online and by the end of the day I drove at home. It was a seamless process. The cars in the lot are quality vehicles. Here's what I experienced: 1. Time: I called, and they had the car ready for me to test drive as soon as I arrived. 2. Friendliness: Matt and Frank were absolutely a pleasure to work with. I felt their genuine support through the process. 3. Fun!: sometimes we dread the whole car buying process but honestly I had fun. The truck was lifted and I knew my dogs wouldn't be able to jump in the trunk, but Frank reassured me that he would help me buy a doggy ladder which I am so happy about. 4. Customer Service: When I came back to pick up my second set of keys, they had the car washed and with gas. 5. Vehicle: Came nicely modified in partner and warranty under Toyota. I've gotten so many compliments on the vehicle.

The online listing made the car sound pristine, but in person, it had a long list of issues: broken trim, missing parts, mismatched tires, rusted rotors, and a non-functioning rear screen. These flaws weren't disclosed in the ad. Worse, the dealership attempted to charge $5,500 for paint protection, theft deterrents, tint, and other add-ons that were never discussed beforehand, despite claiming "no hidden fees." Their fine print later revealed these were pre-installed and not part of the advertised price. I waited more than 20 minutes to speak with a manager after raising concerns but willing to negotiate, but no one followed up, so I walked out. This place banks on uninformed buyers accepting inflated prices and vague add-ons. If you're a serious buyer, read the fine print, ask hard questions, and be ready to walk. UPDATE 6/28/25: After buying the same make and model at a different dealership -- one with FAR better integrity -- I want to reflect back at my experience at this dealership and their practices. First, salesman wanted me to negotiate on the final price, not the vehicle price. That's a classic dealership tactic as it protects the sticker price for their metrics, have an easier time hiding add-on profits, and it creates a false impression of flexibility. Ultimately, this is bad for the buyer because transparency is lost, it protects their margin and limits one's leverage. I knew that's what they were aiming at, so I held the line on only negotiating on the sticker price. Again, LOOK AT THE PICTURES AS TO WHY!! In spite of what I just said, he proceeded with the oldest trick dealerships do: "cool-down" or "sweat-you-out" tactic. This is done to make one feel uncomfortable or impatient with the ultimate goal of getting one emotionally invested in staying and "finishing the deal". By doing so, they wear you down so that you're more likely to agree to their numbers just to be done. There are other reasons too but this is a big one. ~20 minutes of waiting, I told one of the salesmen that I've been waiting a while for the manager and will leave in 5 minutes if he doesn't arrive. True to my word, I left. I never heard from them after that (they had my contact info) which tells me they would rather wait for a less informed, emotional buyer to foolishly agree to the unfair price of this car AND overpriced mandatory add-ons. Here's my take away from this dealership: 1) High-pressure, low-integrity dealership model: They prioritize margins over relationships with a focus on flipping cars at inflated prices. They also rely on delays, confusion, and "manager invisibility" to outlast smart buyers. 2) Poor reconditioning = Cut costs: The car's condition (damaged trim, mismatched tires, rusted rotors, broken screen and so on) says they're not investing in inventory. They're pushing it out as-is and hoping no one notices. 3) The "Fool Tax" strategy: the biggest one for this dealership. They keep cars on the lot long enough to find someone unaware or emotionally invested. I was never their ideal buyer. I was informed, direct, and clear. PLEASE TAKE MY EXPERIENCE AS A WARNING. AVOID THEM. I AM SPEAKING AS SOMEONE WHO DID NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. IMAGINE HOW I WOULD FEEL IF I DID. UPDATE 4/1/26: Since my visit, California passed SB 766, aimed at deceptive practices like misleading pricing and add-ons, the same issues I and many others have raised here. After 10/1/26, dealers engaging in those practices will face greater scrutiny. If you believe you were misled or defrauded, consider filing a complaint w/ DMV Investigations and keep all documentation. In Jan 2026, Yelp placed a "Suspicious Review Activity" alert on this dealership's page (see pic). Read it, then look at how many good reviews come from accounts with 1-3 total reviews here, versus those with a much longer review history. Draw your own conclusions. IF YOU FOUND A VEHICLE YOU LOVE AT THIS DEALERSHIP, PLEASE STAY AWAY!! THEY WILL USE YOUR EMOTIONS AGAINST YOU.

No pressure tactics, no surprise fees, fair pricing, and a quick and easy transaction. It's refreshing compared to the typical used car dealer experience, and I genuinely appreciated that. The Bad: I drove off the lot and immediately noticed two warning lights on the dash: charging port fault and airbag. You know how cars flash a few lights on startup and they disappear within seconds? That's what I assumed. Besides, you're spending $50K+ on a car and you don't expect to drive away with these active warnings. I simply trusted Zed on that. Both turned out to be real issues. $1,400 paid to fix it. During my inspection, one of the Falcon Wing doors hesitated when opening. Zed said it was probably the sun, shade, or dust interfering. I took his word for it. It wasn't. $650 quote from Tesla. One week later, a steering rack warning appeared. $4,000 quote. Total damage in week one: over $6,000 on top of the purchase price. My Take: I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he didn't know about these issues. But either way, it's clear these cars aren't being thoroughly inspected before they hit the lot. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could, but $6,000+ in repairs within a week makes 4 stars hard to justify. Would I buy from here again? "Maybe..." But next time I'm bringing my own inspector, spending more time on the test drive, and checking every light, every panel, and every moving part myself. Bottom line: Good dealer. Smooth process. But do NOT skip a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Do NOT assume the car is in good condition because you're having a good experience during your time at the dealership.

I ignored other reviews and purchased my dream car from OC Autosource...a Bentley Continental GT Speed "Limited Le Mans Edition" (#7 of 48) coupe. Though the car had been in his hands for weeks, he apparently never bothered to have a mechanic look at it. I paid for a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) after buying it (my bad, don't make this mistake) and learned the truth about the car. The front grills had sustained damage, breaking off the tabs that hold them in place and subsequently been GLUED back on. The front left wheel had a crack in it which caused the tire to steadily lose air pressure, ultimately triggering an alert on the car's dash. This alert effectively froze the computer, making it impossible to use the navigation, listen to music or do anything else. I returned to the tire shop 3 times for refills, seven days later the alarm was triggered again, On my third visit they discovered the crack in the wheel. The exhaust system was loosely hanging on...missing brackets that secure it and prevent it from hanging low. The car has a 20 speaker, $7500.00 sound system but the blown speaker in the dash made it painful to use...like nails on a chalkboard. When I provided Tony proof of these flaws, he assured me he would make good on the repairs and "..do the right thing" and I believed him. I had everything fixed at a cost of $2637.79 (parts & labor) and now enjoy driving the car. Weeks passed and Tony never contacted me until I posted a review and filed a BBB complaint. 24hrs after posting my initial review & filing a BBB complaint, I got reimbursed the total amt for the aforementioned repairs. But because Tony asked me to "...remove all the negative you put out there" I feel this was mere damage control rather than his desire to do the right thing because I received more messages from him within 24hrs of posting my review than I received in the preceding 4 months.. I promised him an honest review on my first visit to OC Autosouce & that's what this is. I always keep my word. If you intend to purchase a car from OC Autosource, I suggest you demand a PPI be conducted before you buy. Have the cost of any repairs necessary be deducted from the purchase price and handle the repairs yourself. JMO...I could be wrong.
