However, even if I set up an appointment in their online system, when I show up, they will assign me to whomever. Kim, an older nail tech, is nice but she is rough and her work is inconsistent. I went today and my hands are still stinging. Interestingly enough, this is probably the best manicure I've received from her. Other times the builder gel has been too thick. They frequently pair me with her even if I request someone else. There is another young lady in there who does a decent job. This is the kind of shop where they probably make most of their money off of pedicures. It is clean. It is quiet. Far from perfect though.

This was my second time here and when I tell you they remembered me and what they did for me and asked about my sister and the baby and about my move to Cali soon. This type of customer service and personable character speaks volumes to me. I love the fact that they really treat you as family in no time. I say all that to say I came in for a Mother's Day pedicure and I'm not sure if they have new owners... or if a magic nail fairy put in a little over time but sheesh. What a difference. The service was great. I called ahead to see if they were busy and no one answered, I got a call back in like 20 seconds and she told me to come in and they'd take me!! Yasss.... They did not do anything and they charged me $78 for both. they did not even clean. The guys keep encouraging me for gel even though I said regular but then I agree for Gel since he insisted still he put regular nail polish and charges me for Gel. The acrylic application was very thick and messy all around the cuticle bed. When she attempted to file and clean down the acrylic, the electric file was pressed too aggressively into the natural nail surface, creating deep grooves and severe unevenness that thinned out my nail beds. The filing technique also caused painful irritation to the skin around my nails. It's been 3 days and my hands are still extremely sore and sensitive. I had not gotten my nails done in months and they were very healthy, so this was not previous damage at all. I also got a pedicure and noticed she used a worn nail file and retrieved tools out of a generic container rather than a freshly sanitized set.

As the nail tech was prepping my nails, I noticed all the sample nail designs and thought, Oh, she knows how to do designs. With that in mind, I decided to get acrylic tips instead. I shared a video with her showing a cat-eye French tip design I wanted. As she started working, I felt the nails looked too dark, but I tried to trust the process. She finished one nail and asked for my opinion. I asked if it was the final product, but due to a language barrier, she called over a man I believe is the owner. He explained that the nail wasn't finished and there were more layers to add, so I said okay. When everything was done, she executed the design perfectly, but it was much darker than I wanted. I had hoped for a pink design but left with a dark pink and greenish-looking nail. I tried to love it but couldn't, so I returned the next day to request a color change. Initially, the owner implied I would need to pay for the redesign, but when I explained that I had expressed my dissatisfaction the day before, he agreed to fix it at no charge. Because of this good customer service, I decided to give them another chance, but I opted for a different nail tech this time and requested Michael. During my fill, I had to point out areas where the nails weren't shaped correctly. Even during polishing, I had to ask him to go over spots he missed. I asked for blue chrome nails with glitter, and he initially said it was possible. However, after prepping my nails, he called over a coworker, showed him the picture, and then told me he couldn't execute the design. As a result, I left with plain nail polish. Michael was apologetic and said they'd have the chrome powder next time, but by then, the experience left me disappointed. The staff is nice, and I appreciate that they allow both appointments and walk-ins. However, there's something about the vibe of the salon that feels off, so I won't be returning. That said, if you're in a pinch and need something affordable, they might be worth a try.

I came in for a hard gel removal and was told they would soak it off with acetone. I requested filing instead, since hard gel cannot be safely soaked off. The person I believe is the owner/manager dismissed my concern, said filing would "take too long," and insisted soaking was the only option. This is not just a preference issue--it's improper technique that can seriously damage natural nails. I left without the service and later had another technician confirm that soaking hard gel is not a safe or correct removal method. If a salon offers hard gel, they should know how to properly and safely remove it. This experience made me seriously question their practices.
