I've been coming here for about a year and consistently had great experiences with Sarah, but I need to speak on a serious safety concern. I came in for a hard gel removal and was told they would soak it off with acetone. I requested filing instead, since hard gel cannot be safely soaked off. The person I believe is the owner/manager dismissed my concern, said filing would "take too long," and insisted soaking was the only option. This is not just a preference issue--it's improper technique that can seriously damage natural nails. I left without the service and later had another technician confirm that soaking hard gel is not a safe or correct removal method. If a salon offers hard gel, they should know how to properly and safely remove it. This experience made me seriously question their practices. read more

Being that this nail has been my decision to patron for the past year, I decided to come back. I'm not going to get into detail, but I didn't know that I could have not paid at all after being cut so badly. As a man who also doesn't do this often I had no knowledge of how to take the situation especially bleeding and still being "treated with care". Today 11/20/2024 after talking to a few female friends they told me to go back to the salon and get refund and leave a review. I don't have that much time to leave a review so I decided to politely go speak to the owner/manager about this matter at hand and to get a refund. I went in to speak as calmly and collected as possible for I was not upset just hurt!!! Literally!! Not emotionally but physically HURT!!! And the owners VIBE immediately changed after I spoke to her my concern and showed her pictures.. She asks to see the actual cut, so I'm showing her it's in a band aid after I treated it for disinfection but She still rips it off angrily (no exaggeration) and then begins to insult me saying "people come here and get cut all the time and they no complain" "Your not a man you look a like a woman " she kept repeating these things to the point I had to tell her to be quiet before I called the police. No one should pay money to be CUT and bleeding leaving a nail salon and then to be shown the type of disrespect is insane and completely no care to the customers. I came in yesterday to get my nails done before a trip... it was 5pm when I came and by 10 pm I also saw chipping of a dip manicure- keep in mind I paid $51 for a dip manicure and all the person did was shape my nail and paint them- no massage no lotion no cuticle cut... I visited Polished Day Spa for the first time for a powder dip manicure and pedicure. I called for an appointment via phone and I got a slot at the same day. I was attended by my nail technician right away. I tried Jiggly Jell-o for my pedicure treatment and it was really relaxing! For manicure, I was suggested to try dip powder which took a while but ended up looking really beautiful! It has been more than a week since my nail session and the powder dip are still intact! My nail technician, Leanna, was amazing and did beautiful nail art on my hands as well. I really had a good experience at this nail salon and I'd definitely return should I be in the area. read more

I've been here twice now, the first time I asked for a simple design from the jump and the guy played it off as if he could do it and then when I asked for the final time he could not. My biggest complaint though is that I went there on a thursday last week to get Dip done. My nails began to chip not even two days later. I was away so I couldn't go back into get the fixed, by monday my nails look wrecked but they have a 3 day re-service policy and I was past that. First of all, only 3 days to have a problem is not that long especially if you get your nails done for an event a couple days later. Second, Dip is supposed to last minimally 2 weeks give or take, I usually get about 3-4 weeks out of my dip unless I'm rough on my nails. This dip last 3 days. I would not recommend and at this point I will not be back. read more

They over charge and under deliver. The owner nickels and dimes for every service and cuts corners. When she files to maintain the shape, she charges for a cut down and reshape. When you point out her mistakes and asks her to fix it, she gets an attitude. She is money hungry and rude. Spa treatments are supposed to be peaceful and relaxing, not hostile and upsetting. Interesting experience. Loved the bright, open and airy space. The place looks beautiful with the all the color options against the white walls. Also, when I called to see if I could come in same day, the woman who answered was delightful. The same woman who answered greeted me warmly and instructed me to sign in and choose my color. That's where the customer service stopped. I started with a pedicure by Tony. He asked about the water temp when I said it was cold, it did nothing to remedy it. Not sure why he asked. He then proceeded to curtly instruct me when to move my feet all while talking to a colleague the entire time. I was hoping to relax but between his full conversations and the not-so-relaxing music playing, I was out of luck. The manicure was more of the same with him asking me, halfway through, if I'd been there before. Not sure why he asked that either because nothing changed. Love the color I chose but not the manicure either. He polished away from the nail bed which means it'll look grown out sooner than necessary. Unfortunately after now two bad experiences, I feel the need to write a review. I went in yesterday to get a gel manicure done with a friend. After waiting 15-20 minutes (happens without an appointment, no problem), we were both sat. She was started on right away, and I waited probably another 15 minutes to get foiled. The woman then began scraping off the polish after the first round of foils, which did not get the polish all off. I was then foiled again. After multiple rounds of foils and scraping, I watched not just the polish, but layers of my nails peeled and scraped off. I don't believe she knew how to remove gel polish. It was over an hour of being in the salon before the polish was removed, but I could visibly see the damage done to my nails. I had to ask her to fix the shape twice, and then finally gave up knowing I could file them myself at home. As far as the paint, she used a Gel Top Coat as my base polish, which I unfortunately did not notice until another manicurist came over with the Gel Base as soon as she had finished putting my "base" on with the Top Coat polish. I got a very light pale pink color and had to ask her to put on a third coat as it is very light. As the final kick, there was no massage to end the manicure as she just put lotion on my hands and called it a day. It was over 2 hours before I was out of the salon and absolutely the most disappointing manicure I've had. I will not be back and would not recommend. read more

I went in for a repair on a Saturday, now I get that weekends are extra busy but when I say I sat for 30 mins and they took every person that came in before me with and without appointment. The guy that did my pedicure, while very polite, it felt like he was rushing me to pick out my color & the pedicure I wanted - I get it if you're busy but there was one other person there. As for the actual pedicure, he BARELY touched my feet. Nothing he was doing felt intentional, it was all light & creepy, very unpleasant like he didn't want to be doing it or didn't know what he was doing. He hardly got any of my cuticles, didn't push them back at all, hardly scrubbed anything, the touch was just so light the entire time it was not good and just weird, idk how else to explain it. I even said something as nicely as possible just letting him know he didn't have to go so lightly on the cuticles & stuff & that it doesn't hurt and he COMPLETELY IGNORED ME. My partner and I went to get pedicures. Both of us being male, we have had some awful experiences at nail salons. This being that the techs rush and don't give us the same time and attention as the female clients. This place was no different. We paid for a 45 min package each which was to include a leg massage as well. We sat next to each other and the techs rushed out and started without even acknowledging us, asking if the water was a good temperature, or what package we wanted. My partner was done in 20 minutes and I in 30. It was the most uncomfortable experience! These techs hacked away at full speed. It was like a race to get done! Meanwhile, other clients came in and were given full customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place and we won't be back. Wasn't the worst experience, but definitely not the best. I got the Milk and Honey Pedicure because the description states there is a 10 min massage included. I got if a 2-3 min massage with hot stones and warm towel which is not included in the description. I also got SNS with short round (almond shape) and a design (simple). The shape was an additional $5, plus $35 for design. Generally, if I'm paying $35 for a design, I have some sort of bling. When I questioned my $170 bill, it took 3 different people to figure it out. Ridiculous. And then the audacity of Sarah to say well I gave you a $10 discount ... I didn't charge for tough skin. Mind you I get pedicures regularly. So because you were doing your job you want to charge extra. I just found they had too many hidden fees and the wording on there receipt is misleading. I won't be back! After 1 week, I had 2 nails break off and have had many nails chip. Usually dip manicures last me 4-5 weeks and never have I had one chip. I will not be going back. Well... I see this shop all the time when I go to my usual shop that's in the same area. Got them done and wasn't expecting to get charged for so much. I spend $55 for the same design on that block but i couldn't this time cause the shop was busy. I was also in a hurry and busy to find another day to go in. Anyways, the gel started chipping same day and got worst in the next couple days. I'm unsatisfied for paying $77 for service that wasn't 5 star. They didn't cut my cuticles. Had a rather unfortunate experience at this nail salon and I thought a review was needed. Not only did I wait for 40 min for an appointment I had scheduled days in advance, but an appointment that usually takes 45 min max at other salons took me 2 hours total. The 90 min free parking isn't validated following that time period, so I had to pay for an extra 3 hours of parking in the garage. The website prices aren't accurate and a $50 fill ended up being priced as $75. Apparently adding gel polish onto a "hard gel fill" is an extra charge! Never in my years of getting hard gel have I had to pay for extra for GEL polish on a hard GEL fill. When I told them I wanted hard gel fill, they handed me GEL colors to pick a color. They should have mentioned the extra charge then and there if it was supposed to be extra charge. The employee (not sure if she was the owner) was essentially yelling at me when I said I was confused and the prices were different online. In addition to that, the employees were having an inappropriate conversation related to another customers transaction. I wasn't following the whole story, but it seemed inappropriate to have in front of other customers. After my second time going to Polished Day Spa, I won't be going back. Every worker I've encountered is very nice, I'm just disappointed in the quality. I went in for a gel fill and color change, I eyed a pretty chrome and thought I was good to go. Once I showed my tech the design I wanted, there was a big fuss about whether or not it could be done. After they discussed, they came to the decision it could be done but at a $20 up charge. I decided to continue, even though I thought the price was an intense price gouge. The color I wanted was a pretty blue. I wasn't sure how chrome polished worked, so once I saw the purple color go on I was shocked (I saw the name of the color on the bottle as "blue violet") but decided to continue and see the final product. All I can say is I'm very disappointed in the final product, it's day two and my nails are starting to chip. I was more than happy to change the design and mentioned it to the nail tech, but they insisted. I just wish instead of insisting they can do something, be honest and say it's above their capabilities! Please do better, polished day spa.o read more

This place treats different types of patrons differently and will literally stare at you & ignore you when you ask them why. I went to get a pedicure and ordered what their menu said was a 45 minute service. The nail tech was finished in 24. Seriously, 24. I only know this because I sent a text message to a friend upon sitting down. It was like a race from the tech so she could get back to her instagram feed as soon as possible. At the end of the pedicure I had to clean wax off my feet. Fun. I asked to speak to a manager due to the lack of service, and the fact that the lady next to me was there before me and was still being serviced after me. The manager or nail tech wouldn't answer the question "why am I being treated differently than your other patrons" and simply gawked at me. They kept discussing my situation in another language and simply gawked at me. Uncomfortable!! The manager ended up asking, "what would you like me to do?" I would simply like to be treated like all your other guests!! I ended up paying and telling the man I'd never be back. Does this place treat men differently? Is it because of the way I look? The owner, Leanna is very rude and has poor customer service. She did not listen to what I asked for when I got a simple manicure. I also came back to get my nails fixed - that chipped in two days and sat and waited for 15 minutes. I am fine with waiting but someone else came in to get their nails fixed (seems to be a trend as I see their nail services to do not last) and she was helped before me. She is rude and was talking to two co workers about me clearly. I have been here again with a different nail tech and she was incredible. They only have one nail technician who can do certain things and REFUSE to use a different technician for manicures and pedicures. They let you sit in cold pedicure water for almost an hour while seating walkins. In addition to being overpriced for mediocre quality, the customer service is terrible and they seem to cater to a "preferred" race of clientele. Front desk girls were very friendly and outgoing. My pedi was more or less a polish exchange. 'Tony' barely acknowledged that I was in his chair. He talked to everyone but me. My nails were damaged from an old coat of gel- he did not do a good job at all trying to fix. I paid full price and tipped, then came home and fixed them myself. Also, the nail tech next to us was on her phone the whole time while doing another woman's nails. Phenomenal service! I recently moved into the area from Canton and was looking for a new place to walk to. Polished Day Spa is in a great location and I had one of the best dip manicures in a long time! The tech was very detailed oriented and I never felt like she was rushing (which is what I normally feel at other salons). I was also impressed with the safety precautions they took such as sanitizing as soon as we walked in, taking temperatures, and for dip, pouring the powder into a separate cup to ensure I wasn't sticking my fingers into the container where others may used.
