We had a wonderful lunch including hummus, crispy manti, and kebabs. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

Nargis Cafe is one my favorite restaurants serving the BEST and unique flavor in every dish. Food is to die for, delishious and super fresh, personnel is friendly. I am putting on so many starts so people can see how TERRIBLE this business and business owner is. I ordered a Chilean seabass delivery and the portion is OUTRAGEOUSLY SMALL! It costs me $29.99 plus tax and I said hey just try it. But what I got was 3 cubes of pathetic little fish for the price I paid. I called to voice my concern and the boss basically shut me off and said "That's how we do business here! Like it you order and don't like it you don't" Word for word. That was after accusing me for not knowing the restaurant and order from the restaurant directly and not knowing the price of seabass! He doesn't care! This is not my first time here and will not be my last. I came In two weeks ago with a party of eight and was hosted by the amazing and awesome Adema. She was so helpful, recommending dishes based on the many preferences my group members had. More importantly Adema was the outmost pleasing conversationalist and kept our group very entertained. Other than the amazing food we ordered such as the Ox tail, avocado salad, chicken lamb and beef kabab, lamb polov and dumplings our waiter was simply amazing. Further more when we can in a few weeks later Adema recognized my group and I; came by to greet us and introduced us to another splendid waitress name Nadia. I do love food! I do order all the time! But the way hostess and manager acts such unprofessional! Such an attitude! Walked in with my friend for a quick dinner, asked to be seated on the table by window. Hostess with not welcoming face said that table only for 4ppl and up which is totally fine if there is no 2 ppl on that section. Whole section were seating. Not nice! I came here for first time and the waitress that served us fareza was ill experienced and rude. I asked for a avacado salad with no tomato and it was made with tomato when i asked to change it she gave an attitude stating i didnt tell her. overall my families experience with her was terrible she was not helpful in offering her opinion about what to pick from the specials. I had never been to this restaurant, and was extremely excited to eat here. I came with a group of 8, most of which had been here before and raves about it. We called earlier this evening to make a reservation since we had a large group, and they told us that they no longer took reservations. When we arrived they told us we should have made a reservation because we had a large group, which we had already tried... So then, they told us it was an hour wait, so we waited. Other groups came in to eat after we had been waiting, smaller groups, and they were all seated while we sat waiting outside in the cold. When we tried complaining they claimed that they had made an appointment before hand, interesting. If they cared at all to seat us all they had to do was keep two of the turned over tables, and seat us. Absolutely horrible customer service and such a lack of consideration. read more

I don't know what happened, but it has gotten worser...waiter messed up the shish kebab order....instead of bringing skirt stake shish kebab, he brought lamb shush kebab I asked him to bring chicken on the bone he brought chicken breast shish kebab, and then after he says they don't have chicken on the bone, only wings, and on top of that they charged me for two soups, salad, French fries, cheburek, lepeshka(uzbek bread) and 8 sticks(rip off) 180$???? Basically I didn't like food, I didn't like the prices, and if it wasn't for busboys I wouldn't like the service. One of my favorite restaurants in New York! I went on April 22nd with my sister and her friends, who were visiting from Florida and California, and they loved every dish. We shared the sea bass kebab, plov, pumpkin dumplings, and the vegetable dish special. The fish kebab is the best tasting fish I have ever eaten--it melts in your mouth. Server was pleasant and efficient. We arrived around 7 p.m. on a busy Saturday night, and was told there would be a 20-minute wait, but were seated in around 5 minutes. We were seated in the front, which is quieter than the large room in the rear. The only downside was that the table was pressed against the wall, so we had to get up every time someone at the next table needed to get in or out. read more

The food is good but the service is terrible! The waiters and managers are rude and unapologetic. My friend saw a cockroach (!) crawling on the table near our plates, killed it and showed it to the waiter. He said that they don't have cockroaches and the manager said that we were the ones who brought it. None of them even thought to apologize, instead they ganged up on us and started yelling. Okay, this is my first 5-star review after reviewing 17 other places, but I believe it's worth it. This place has some of the best salads and kebabs I've ever had in my life. Their tashkent salad is amazing. Their kebabs are juicy and cooked to perfection. Their waiters are quite attentive to your needs and seem to go above and beyond to provide you with good service. The prices, while they have gone up, are still very reasonable especially for the quality that you're getting. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious Russian/Uzbeki dinner or weekend lunch. read more

It used be the best place to eat Uzbek food in Brooklyn just before Summer 2014. Now, they are slacking in the kitchen once serving my group of 5 people a half cooked chicken shashlik (menu). I wasn't the only one in the group to say it was close to raw, they grilled it enough to appease the eyes, CARELESS. Also, portions got smaller and prices higher. Im guessing they built up enough reputation being top Uzbek restaurants where they can have room to be be careless. read more

I've been here twice since moving into the neighborhood. The atmosphere is bustling yet in an elegant and romantic way. As a party of 2 each time we were seated right away. I had the pumpkin samosa, chicken kebab, tomato salad, and creme brûlée for desert. The staff was attentive and timely, my only complaint was when bringing out the wine we ordered one had a straw in it and it was left in the glass. That threw me off a little based on the quality of the restaurant. I foresee another visit considering I can walk there and the atmosphere is so inviting. read more

I took my boyfriend here so he could try Uzbekistan food for the first time. When we got here, it was very busy and there was a wait (not too long though). The service was good and so was the food. My only issue was not all the waiters spoke English.. My Russian being a little rusty, it was a little difficult when you have a question.
