The Tom Kha Gai soup and (Spicy) Ginger Lover Chicken are my favorites, but the Tiger's Tear Salad is excellent as are the Crispy Spring Rolls and Crab Angels. We went last night. Initial impression was good. Very attentive staff until the place started filling up. My hubby had the special with shrimp and scallops and it was very good. We had dumplings and rolls for appetizers and both were great. I had eggplant with thai basil and would order it again. I did not care for the paper laid over the tablecloth. They didn't pick dirty plates up unless asked. The phone rang every few seconds very loudly. I noticed that they had a huge take out line so maybe other people don't like bad service and phones. lol I am giving it a 4 star because the food was good and there are not a lot of Thai places to eat on this side of town. This place is delicious! They're green curry has just enough spice and loads of flavor. Another one of my favorites is the orange chicken, it has so much flavor! I always get the Thai Chicken Cashews and over the last year or more the amount of chicken and cashews in there are sparse. My last order had 6 cashews! This was a surprise find for a vegetarian in an area where there are not a lot of vegetarian options. I ordered the Pad See Ewe and it was delicious. It was the right amount of sauce and not super overpowering with the sweetness. The tofu was cooked just right and although I got the food to go, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Very disappointing. We went there for my birthday. I love Thai food but the rest of the family doesn't but it was my birthday. The waitress didn't know what was on her menu, and they were out of the appetizer i wanted (crab angles). We ordered a different one and she forgot to turn the order in. The shrimp blanket was bland. For our meal, my daughters tofu was awful and my beef and chicken Spicy basil fried rice was awful also. It seems they boiled the meat with no spices. The rice was good but not the meat. Even my son that got the child's orange chicken didn't like his. I had eaten a good meal at Thai Cottage 2 days before and that was great. I wanted Nara Thai to be good but it wasn't close. (there were a few warning signs, lights in ceiling out, card tables covered by tablecloth's, chairs were lawn chairs, waitress station had open icechest for ice but we went for it anyways.) read more

Best Thai restaurant I have had yet. My husband loves Thai food and this place is his favorite. We always get Thai Tea and Pad Kee Mao. The tofu is cooked to the perfect crispness without drying up and the flavor of the sauce is the best. The Thai tea is also the best Thai tea we've had; its is not too sweet and not watered down. I will not order from this place again. I ordered the spicy Thai rice with shrimp. The portion was huge and so were the shrimp. I took a bite and saw they had left all the flavor and spice on the shelf at the restaurant. I have been dining here for several years, having tried it for the first time 15 years ago (After a spa day w/my pregnant daughter-in-law). Fast forward to about 5 years ago to my dear friend and I, who are regular customers. The good news: The interior update looks great! The waitstaff was friendly & attentive. and they still serve the lovely flavored tea in canning jars. The not so Good: We muddled our way through the stripped out and confusing menu w/help from the waitstaff. We were informed that everything is pretty much ala carte these days. $5.95 for soup and very little on salads. Took awhile to get the food, which came out cold and meat was tough to chew. The peanut sauce was not flavorful and was a little thicker than usual (perhaps from reheating). They were apologetic and promised to "do better on our next visit". I hope they pick up the pace and quality because we truly like the place and want the owners to succeed. read more

The decor is nice and easy going, and the staff are very accommodating. But our favorite part is the food. We really love all the dishes we get, and the best part is that the food is consistently good. It's served quickly, and is a good portion size. The five of us had chicken satay and spring roll for appetizer. The chicken satay came with peanut sauce and the spring roll came with sweet chili sauce. Both were delicious. The peanut sauce was so good that we ate the decorative vegetables with it. For entrees we shared yellow curry, beef pad kee mao, ginger lover, a whole fish and pad prik khing. Normally we always have something to take home. This time we devoured the food and finished every single piece of it. This thai restaurant is one of the best in the neighborhood for everybody except pork lovers. As we learned, no pork in the restaurant because the owner is muslim. read more
