It was absolutely packed when we walked in, but even with that challenge we were quickly sat, order taken, served, and out the door in less than 30 minutes! After waiting for a while at a nearby establishment we grew tired of being ignored there so we walked out after never being acknowledged and went straight here. We've been here a few times, the food has never let us down so we figured they could pull out the disaster that was the other spot, and of course V Bistro killed it yet again. On this visit we ordered some Pho Bun Hue, Tom Yum Soup, and egg rolls. All delicious, all piping hot, and all of this came out just minutes from ordering. The service is simply impressive here! I love eating here! I get the tofu curry with rice. I believe it's V5 on the menu. The portions are on the smaller side, but it leaves me full. Their chili sauce is really flavorful and I appreciate they leave it on the table for you. The produce is always really fresh. The restaurant seems to be clean and the service is good. We found a piece of plastic in one of the spring rolls, which could have been extremely dangerous, especially since we had kids eating the food as well. Food is good! But if you pay at the desk and don't leave a tip it's unacceptable. And I'm not saying that you shouldn't tip because that wasn't the case. The lady at the counter literally asked my husband if he was going to tip but he was going to leave tip in cash. However this lady was literally screaming at him asking if he was going to leave a tip, and literally followed him to the door screaming if he was going to leave a tip. His intentions were to leave a tip in cash but after all that she did, absolutely not. A tip is not mandatory and our food was paid for. My husband was around Deerbrook Mall and knowing I wasn't feeling well asked to pick up lunch. I was craving soup and wonton soup hits home every time. The wontons had great flavor, but I felt they could've been slightly with more filling. The grilled pork had that nice sweet grilled taste and the spring rolls weren't extra ordinary but good. Fast forward to present day and the once thriving shopping center is now in decline but the dining room of V Bistro remains full with happy customers. Why? In an age where Vietnamese cuisine is no longer hard to find, V stays ahead of the game by using quality ingredients and putting customer care ahead of all else.
