I liked this pub a lot for awhile. Decent food, especially for a vegetarian like myself. Pretty good selection of beer. The bartenders were always splendid, ranging from friendly to the best reason to go back. That's what ended up being the problem. In the 9 months since we started visiting, at least six bartenders had come and gone, the most recent our favorite of the bunch, a charming Irish guy who definitely livened up our evenings there. Since we never experienced any problems with these bartenders and never observed any problems they gave other customers, we could only conclude the issue was with the management treating their employees poorly. As much as I liked the place, I can't in good conscious patronize a local establishment that has unethical business practices. So on to another regular pub we go. Also... the nearly constant country garbage coming out of the jukebox was embarrassing. Turn up the game for chrissake. read more

My boyfriend and I went a couple of weekends ago for a date night out. The food we ordered came out in a timely manner and was really good. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip, I had a burger, and my b/f had the steak tips. All was cooked really well. The waitress was also very nice and attentive. The drinks could have been a tad bit stronger but other than that enjoyed some pool after our meal and left. read more

Went in there for the first time last night. Sunday night around 8:50. Despite the Red Sox playing the Yankees on ESPN, only 2 of the 6(maybe 7?) TV's had the game on. The others had random TV shows on. We waited over 10 minutes for the lone bartender to finish up stacking coasters and chatting with other customers before we were finally able to flag her over to place our drink orders. We also requested menus. The menu was great. Lots of different, unique burgers and some really yummy sounding apps. All were very reasonably priced and we were looking forward to having a bite. By the time she finally came back over she informed us that the kitchen had closed. It was around 9:15. We were very disappointed. The place was fairly busy, with people sitting at high tables, so we were surprised it closed so early. We asked for our bill, which she gave to us twice, paid for our Guiness and UFO draft and left to find food elsewhere. The good: Very nice bar, lots of seats and tables. Lots of TV's. Great menu and beer selection. Great pricing. Place has lots of promise. The bad: Terrible bar service. We waited for a LONG time before even getting her to come over. She wasn't serving other customers she was just talking and doing busy work. Then she forgot our order. Then she gave us our bill twice. Very early closing kitchen. We went to a place nearby that has their kitchen open until 11:30 on Sunday night. I highly recommend they keep the kitchen open until at least 10 if they want to compete with other pubs in the area. read more

This place is HORRIBLE! Take my recommendation and NEVER go here. They are racist, bar tender spoke an incredibly racist slur in front of me. To make matters worse there was a large black hair in my food. Service was HORRIBLE and the food was even worse. Go anywhere but here! read more

Wow. I used to love Napper Tandy's. They were a great local option, with good food, and good service. Came here today at 11am for lunch on a day off from work with a friend. Bartender was so rude. Seemed irritated that we were there, and told us that the kitchen isn't open until 11:30, when their menu says, "Lunch Specials 11am-3pm." Yelp says they open at 11am, website says open at 11am...you get the point. I am so low key about this stuff. If she had said, "hey, so sorry...we're running late today." I wouldn't have cared. I have the day off. But instead, she was rude, insisted kitchen always starts at 11:30, and she ignored us until that time. It was so negative and awkward that my friend and I left to eat at Porter Cafe instead. I just wanted a chill local bar on a rare day off. Napper Tandy's, please recognize that basic, pleasant communication matters. I want to be able to enjoy coming here. Nobody wants to deal with that kind of crap when you go out to relax and spend your hard earned money. read more

worst bar experience I've ever had. let's serve me one drink and then walk away from me and my two friends and then never come back to check on us. your bar isn't full you clearly have no idea what your doing as a bartender. I'm beyond pissed. The only time we got acknowledged by the other bartender on was to ask to close our tab. won't ever come back to nappers, on top of that I will tell EVERYONE I know the same thing. thank you. read more

This place is great!! The food is awesome, never had a bad dish. And the bartenders are on the ball and funny as hell.

my family went in on a friday around 5:00pm. everyone stared at us while we went to sit down, and a rude bartender came to us asking us what we wanted.... when we didn't even have menus. he rushed us and was really rude for no reason and made us pay while we were eating bc his shift was done and just was not nice at all. we had a child with us and he kept interrupting us while we were ordering drinks by saying there's no kiddy cups. i got steak tips and it tasted like they took 10 pounds of salt and pepper on them. half of them were literally RAW. my mom got a steak tip salad and the same thing. super salty and not even enjoyable. the chicken fingers were good, and the french fries but will never go back. such a waste as the food used to be super good there, now we will never go back read more

Great food and beers! (Yes, WAY better than when it was Robyn's.) Possibly one of the BEST fish sandwiches I've ever had, and great burgers too. I would encourage Roslindale residents especially to do more business here and keep it in Roslindale. Every town needs a great pub! read more

Average bar food, pretty good beer list. This is a good standby for when you want to go watch the game with a beer. The staff are always friendly and pretty quick and the crowd on game nights can be fun to be around. I think I enjoyed watching the crowd watch the Sox win last year about as much as I enjoyed watching the win itself! Note - you'll see signs saying that they have free wi-fi. It doesn't work, so don't count on it. read more

Solid spot. My wife and I wanted a casual dinner and were met with a great meal, solid beer list and great service. Jimmy was very friendly and even let us sample the latest beers on tap. My wife had the mushroom burger and I had the beef tip and scallop special. Good stuff! read more

Great Irish Pub atmosphere. The food and service were both great. The gravy in the bangers, mash and beans meal was delicious!

I must say, "Thank you, thank you." Finally, a comforatble bar, quality food, decent and rotating taps, and POOL TABLES! Bringing me back to the Happy Hour of yesteryear, but better beer!
