Something happened on the Doordash end and the pizza never was delivered. Brendan (I assume owner) was attentive and made a fresh order and personally delivered it....the man dashed from his own kitchen at a peak hour to deliver our food. In busy days like Thursday to Saturday they are overwhelmed, there is total chaos by the pizza oven, and they get sloppy. Don't trust them, especially if you have a food intolerance. Have been coming here for years. Was there on 4/25 with 7 people Two of which were my grandsons ages 6 and 2 . None of us adults let the kids run free. Within 3 mins, we hadn't even gotten a beverage order in yet, when one of employees, a kid himself, came over to tell us there was a complaint of noise from our table. 1st- the 2 year was playing with his cousin and let out an occasional screech, which we jumped on right away. 2- The noise level of the FAMILY restaurant was at a level where a normal conversation level wasn't happening. 3- A corner table with 3-4bl kids was continuously load...which was fine, they're KIDS. 4- An actual adult employee should have come over instead of at all. It's a shame that the 2 elderly gentlemen who decided to go a family restaurant on a Saturday didn't see exactly how quiet the 2 yr old got when the fried mozz came or when he and his cousin were watching something on a cell phone. Point is, the entire restaurant was loud, it's not a wide open space, there was no wildness or kids out of control going on and should never have been singled out simply because those old to foggys were behind us. For starters, my apologies for not many photos attached here-in. Somehow, anytime I'm eating a Naples Pie my view finder is usually blocked by the slice of pie entering my face. Thin crust, ample edge crust, large triangle slices, and two hands is recommended. Folding and curling is allowed...and even recommended by yours truly. The nothing worse than loosing a "Goob" of cheese or one of Naples ample topping, especially for thins chow hound bacon, onion, and/or sausage! The tables inside Naples are limited, but comfy booth style. My preference is outdoor setting from the box or To-Go. However, the To-Go option is personally torture if I'm driving it home. I've also tried Frank Pepe's of New Haven, and it was hard to be blown away (I didn't like the weird cut-up of the pizza). That's another review for another day. In any event, Naples Pizza serves a community in the best possible way, and its convenient location makes it a staple on my list for now. This pizzeria came up. Highly recommended from a few locals. I ordered from the takeout window and did not realize you could sit down and have a full service experience. The staff was very welcoming and encourage me to take a seat and eat my pizza. Being only one person to sit down it was easy for them to accommodate. I had a arugula and prosciutto pie. The restaurant itself was kind of small, maybe 9-12 tables that can seat 4. It has a cozy little vibe in the back while the front seems like a quick slice service shop. They have outdoor seating as well but I'm sure that's seasonal. The servers were polite and very helpful. They answered questions we had about the menu and were very helpful. We got medium pizzas thinking they would be smaller but they were HUGE, which I'm not complaining about but just know that ahead of time. We got the Pepperoni, Hot Honey & Ricotta & The Arugula & Prosciutto. The Pepperoni pizza was amazing, loved it. The Arugula one was not my fave but it's also a white pizza so that's why. I love the lemon addition to the arugula, not sure if it's a lemon vinaigrette or what but I actually liked that because it's different than other places. The Door Dash people are cutting the takeout line people, slowing everything down so your slices are cold by the time you wait. No one thought during their remodel to put a Takeout line and a Grub Hub line after 5pm on busy nights with two registers or to construct a path from the kitchen directly to the dine-in customers without walking through the takeout / Door Dash line? You know how sometimes you take things for granted? Naples is one of those things. But I have found myself returning again and again because I absolutely adore this place. First, they have a wide array of pizza slices -- some of the best in the area. Nothing better for lunch (or even dinner). They're huge slices too. One is enough, and two is probably more than enough but still great. But the pizzas themselves are just magnificent. I love more types of their pizzas than most places. Clam pizza? Check. Spicy Soppresseta? Oh yes. Buffalo Chicken? Heck yes. Each done in a bit of New Haven style. I came on a recent Friday night and they were buzzing. Scratch that, they were crushed. And yet, they were turning out so many pizzas so efficiently that they were pros. Their staff is first-rate. Salads are great and so are the sandwiches. This place just has it all. My pizza was ready when I arrived, I paid $30.54 for a large pepperoni w/ extra cheese. Definitely on the pricey side, so I thought to myself, it better be good. I had to smile when I saw the display asking for an additional tip for my pizza -- c'mon, a tip for a takeout order ?? All you did was hand me my pizza. I guess when you have your pizza establishment located in a Fairfield County wannabe area, you can try that. Anyhow, back to the pizza itself, it was decent. Not the best I've ever had, but a solid 4 Stars. Chew was good, sauce was to my liking also. They also cooked the pizza a while, then added the "extra cheese" to avoid making the pizza greasy -- nice attention to detail, I appreciate that. I'd stop in again for a takeout order. It's good pizza for sure! Probably some of the better pizza in the area. I got the mozz pizza with some toppings like pepperoni and caramelized onions and was pretty impressed with it. It's definitely a little pricey compared to other spots in the area but a strong competitor for flavor. I also had a salad for lunch - the Tuscan - which was sizeable and flavorful. Definitely worth the $12.50 or so that I paid. Service is a bit chaotic frankly - it was super busy when I was in there and they didn't seem to have a great system of organization. A lot of the girls working were younger and seemed to be out of their element. The pizza chef was yelling quite a bit. My kids and I ate at Naples today. We sat in the back and were overseen by a waitress named Kayleigh. As we sat the waitress had an exchange with the cooks. They were discussing her nationality. The cooks mentioned she could pass for Eastern European, particularly Russian. To which she replied yuck no. This was said so loudly that we heard in the back. We are Russian. My kids turned to me and asked why people think we are yuck? When she came over to take our order I told her we are Russian and not yuck. She apologized. However then she went back to the cooks and started mockingly retelling the exchange to anyone who would listen. Other employees asked what I said and she shared the story with anyone who would listen. Again loudly so we heard it in the back. We sat there embarrassed by the whole ordeal and felt bullied. She apologized again, but it was obviously not sincere since she found it so amusing that we were offended. She doesn't need to like Russians. I understand that the propaganda machine is in full swing, but maybe she could've kept that to herself and not embarrassed us and made my children ask me why we are hated. No management came over to apologize. There was zero concern. I thought about not tipping her. I always tip high because I know servers are underpaid and overworked, but I left her very little. I should've left nothing. We love that place and I always recommended it to people, but I can't see how I can continue to do that. This was awful. read more

Still so good. Been a while since we been here but ordered online for pizza, the fried mozzarella and a side of fries late on a Friday night. My order was ready within 20-30 mins and the staff were all so accommodating as I asked questions there about getting beers to go.
