We stopped in here after hiking to Ho'opi'i Falls and were not disappointed. THE WINGS WERE TO DIE FOR!!! Our bartender Sean was AWESOME. Instant friends that found we both had backgrounds in Florida and Texas. Oh and all the beers were fantastic. We loved Napali Brewing so much that we brought family back the next day after Waimea Canyon. read more

Amazing beers, you really now how to brew a true west coast IPA. Food was really good had the ceviche lupus and Hulu Hulu chicken. One word of advice it was like pulling teeth to get your bartender to talk. I noticed people ate drank and were gone in minutes. I know locals are important, but is mainlanders spend the bucks. With that said amazing job you guys, you rival any brewery on the mainland with your beers and food. We will be back and tell our friends about you guys. For those returning it's the old brick oven pizza joint in Kapaa ( Wailua Beach area). read more

What an awesome pub! Opened in May 2023. Really nice place to hang and a great selection of beers, brewed on location. The interior is all wood, with a large number of sturdy tables, which can accommodate many large groups. They also have a large number of plants hanging from the rafters, giving the place an almost homey feel. Great wait staff too. I had the seasonal Octoberfest. Great beer. My sister got the Helles, and brother-in-law got the Lager. All great beers. Food is mostly pub fare. We got the Hapa Fries, mixed potato and sweet potato, quite tasty. We also got the pretzel bread with the beer cheese dip. OMG! Was that good. Napali's definitely a place to hang, have beers and munchies. Now my favorite brew pub in Kapa'a. I'll certainly be back! read more

The food was only okay. Nothing to write home about. The best was the fish and chips and the Mac and cheese was good. The salad lacked seasoning and the burgers were dry with not much to them. The service was pretty good but not the best! The restaurant was nice on the inside and the atmosphere was good! read more

Not a ton of different beers on tap - but what we had (lager & hazy ipa) was solid. Good food. Enjoyed the crispy Brussels and fish & chips - a great first stop on the island after the airport! Sad they were sold out of ceviche by the time we arrived. read more

Napali Brewing - Smoked meat plate and fish & chips - Brewpubs Near Me - Kapaʻa, Hawaii

Went to try this place tonight and let me tell you, IT WAS NOT THE VIBE. Kitchen was closed for 35 mins when we got there, no discount on drinks to compensate. Took 10 minutes to just get our beer order going. Once the kitchen opened we ordered the ceviche as an appetizer. We literally payed $22 for four wonton chips with a tiny bit of fish on each one. It was incredibly salty and really didn't want to eat it, but felt like we had to because it was so expensive. My lady got the fish and chips, was a big portion and tasted great. I got the waygu burger, kinda expected better for the price. In the 30 minutes it took us to eat our food, we never got checked on once. My lady also had to go up to the bar just to ask for some waters. Wouldn't recommend to any visitors. Go to food trucks and save some money. read more

Not impressed due to service. Place was quite empty, but staff wouldn't let us sit at bar without waiting for 15 minutes (bar seats completely empty). Plenty of staff standing around with nothing to do. Once seated, we had to order, then were rushed to close out our tab. When it came to ordering beer, asked for suggestions and the girl server had an attitude and would offer no help. It was obvious they were not wanting to be hospitable this particular day. We decided to leave because we were asked to close our check and did not feel welcome. Keeping in mind it was in the afternoon, not near closing time. Beer was satisfactory, but would prefer great service with it. Will not be back and would not recommend. This place does have potential if can figure out customer service. read more

Love the space. Lots of windows and plants and seats. Beer was great and service was friendly. Ample parking. Lots to love here

I was happy to see this new place opened super closer to where I was staying on my second trip to Kauai. The outside doesn't look like much but it's nice inside! There was live music the night we went. I had the Mac and cheese and my husband got fish and chips, which were super crispy! I'm not a beer drinker but they seemed to have a good selection and my husband liked his drink. The server was also nice and attentive! read more

5 stars for ambiance. This place is easy to miss from the outside - it looks kind of like an old chain restaurant? But inside it's very well done. Plants everywhere, good lighting, beautiful furniture. There's a long bar with plenty of seating. We arrived on a weekday at 11:30am, pretty early for us, and the place was empty, but by the time we left, quite a few customers were eating lunch. The vibe is relaxed and tropical. The bartender is actually the owner or founder of the place. He just opened recently and is still making changes, additions, and improvements. We ordered pork sliders and Brussels sprouts (they serve small plates or pupus here), plus fries. Everything was tasty and the serving sizes were good for lunch. As with everything we've had on the island so far, there was a lot of chipotle aioli involved and I might've preferred the Brussels to be less drenched, but they were good nonetheless. We are beer tourists, so we tried a couple of the beers. They were tasty and mild. Nothing too hoppy or bitter by design (according to the bartender). This place has a lot of promise and we'll definitely stop by again! read more

Great place for a great meal! Food is fresh and beer cold. We really enjoyed it! Lots of parking and large restaurant!

I honestly don't know why this place doesn't have more ratings! Perhaps because it's a newer brewery on the island. AMBIANCE We came in on a Friday night around 6:30PM and they had live music playing. It does get a bit loud with the live music (I think 6-8PM?), but the performer was great! He was very funny and had a great voice. The decor is so cute and refreshing. There were wooden basket lamps and hanging plants. SEATING The dining area was huge. Most of the seating are longer bench tables, so you'll likely be sharing a table with others. Perfect spot for happy hours with larger groups. There are also ~6 smaller tables that seats 2-4 people if you want more privacy. There's also a secondary dining room with more seating, so it's unlikely there will be a wait time. DRINKS They had five beers brewed in house! My favorites were the Local Boy Lager and Poi Pounding Pilsner. FOOD I was pleasantly surprised by the food! Most food on Kaua'i is overly salty, but not this place. The sliders were a good portion size, and all the food came out fresh and hot! We ordered the following: - Kalua Pork Sliders w/ chiptole aioli ($16) - pork itself was a bit salty, but perfect if eaten with bread/slaw - Hamburger sliders ($16) - this was my favorite - Makaiwa Spring Rolls ($14) - my only complaint is that these are egg rolls, not spring rolls - Hapa Fries ($7) - huge portion of sweet potato/potato fries! great side order I'm bummed we didn't discover this brewery until later in our trip. We will definitely come back when we return to the island! read more

Great service. Great beer Great fish n chips Great restaurant Only complaint.... No mens t-shirts to buy! Hillary was my bartender. Super friendly and very helpful. Felt the Hawaiian love! Beer: Hamajang IPA was ok. I typically enjoy IPAs. This one wasn't my favorite. Ended up drinking the seasonal Okakoba which I liked. The fish and chips were excellent. Lightly battered huge pieces of ono. Slaw was perfect. A bit on the heavy side so you'll leave very full. I usually leave breweries with a t shirt. I get asked about them when I wear them out. It's good marketing for the places I visit. Unfortunately, they are out of shirts! I can't talk about because I'll be wearing some other breweries shirt! Highly recommend. Large tables for big groups. Super clean. Lots of parking. read more

Tried a few things. Enjoyed the atmosphere. First time having a Caesar salad with ahi. Ahi was delicious. The pork sliders were good. The CRAB CAKES- were some of the best crab cakes I have ever had. Forgot to get a receipt for reimbursement purposes...contacted the store and the owner got back to me right away and dug through hundreds of tickets to find mine and emailed me a photocopy. One of our favorite spots while vacationing. Beer was tasty, food was on point and reasonably priced. Ambiance and vibe were good. Many TVs for sports. Services is a bit slow, but maybe just on island time. Food came out quickly and was super fresh. Great spot on the east side. Visited twice in our 1 week stay. read more

Food was really great! Service was excellent! Definitely will return when in Kauai. Loved the fish and chips!

If you are looking for a casual, inexpensive (for Kauai) dining experience with live music and a friendly atmosphere, this is the place. Great beers, great pupus, and great local music in a big open room with tables that are great for groups! We love the mac and cheese, grilled veggies, kalua pork sliders, and the grilled shishito peppers. My partner likes their black pot lager and I love the poi pounding Pilsner. Off the beaten path in Wailua, just south of the Coconut Marketplace in Kapa'a. read more

Napali Brewing is a wonderful addition to the brewery scene in Kauai :) when it comes to ambience, service, food quality & most importantly, taste of beer.. they truly excel in all aspects! We went twice during our 2 week stay. This brewery is in Kapa'a with easy parking in a shared lot next to other businesses. They're working on signage but it's a hunter green building at the stoplight across from the Shell gas station by the Kapaa bypass. When you walk in, the space has good lighting with excellent decor - beautiful bar top & wood chairs/tables, surrounded by lots of hanging plants. It's cozy! And I think they have live music each weekend night :) They had 5-6 beers on tap & I absolutely loved the Black Pot schwarzbier, and Joey loved the Local Boy Lager. Every day is happy hour from 2-5p with $2 off beers! The kitchen did a great job matching food dishes to the German beer menu. The pretzel bread with their family recipe of beer queso was phenomenal, we loved it so much we ordered it on both visits :) I loved the wings too, and we shared the Kauai beef sliders too. Yum! Mike, the bartender, was very knowledgeable & fast. The owner, Blake, was such a joy to talk to & learn of his passions! Love this spot & can't wait to come back next time we're on Kauai!! read more

This was an awesome ambience as the tables were long, cafeteria style with beautiful benches. The service matched this beautiful place. It was cool and we were attended to regularly. We ordered the wedge salad with half ranch and half Bleu cheese (thank you for accommodating that we wanted to share), kalua pork sliders, and the smoked meat with side of rice and bok choy. Everything was delicious and tasted well. You can do a tasting of all the beers. They were only out of one. I would definitely recommend it here too. It was great service and restaurant with even better beers. read more

The food was amazing. We had a poke bowl, mac and cheese & the arugula salad. Super fresh & the beer was great. They also had a strawberry guava seltzer that was amazing. We happened into Napali Brewing to rest and eat during a driving tour on Kauai. The beer certainly did the trick, and the service was excellent. This stop is easy to find and has ample parking. Plus, it's location on the south side of Kapa'a is a pleasant walk from Lydgate beach Park. Finding a Schwarzbier on Kauai wasn't on our bingo card for this vacation, and yet we checked the box with this awesome brew. Plus, a great conversation with the owners, who told us how they founded the brewery and put their Aloha spirit into its operations, solidified this as "the" place we want to revisit when we're next on Kauai. read more

Amazing atmosphere!!! Great drinks and food! Extremely friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Disclosure: I've been living in San Diego for 20+ years, my city has the best beer in the world, period. I had the dark schwarz beer, and the Vienna lager, both good beers...perfect one night stands, maybe I'll make them breakfast in the morning, but I'm not going to marry them. The food here is fantastic! $24 Spicey Poke Caesar Salad. The fresh poke is plentiful and not too spicy, the romaine lettuce is equally fresh and crispy, and drizzled with the perfect amount of dressing. $22 Smoked Meat, Bok Choy, and Rice...a nice hot meal! The smoked meat is pork, which is tasty and meaty, with a nice smokey flavor. I also got a side pretzel for $5, went great with mustard and the beers. The building's outside doesn't look like much, but inside is an unique oasis of wood, green, warm lighting, and modern industrial flair. Live music was a nice touch. read more

Stopped here for apps before Smith's Luau. Such a cute cozy vibe, there was live music as well. The pretzels & beer cheese were just okay, but the crab cakes and buffalo wings were yummy! Very cute brewery with live music, friendly staff, and great beer! Taking my husband's word on the beer as it was not gluten free/reduced. They also had wine and cocktail options. Great service, atmosphere and service. The servers were quick to greet us and checked in regularly.

Great staff - Decent variety of drinks - Yummy wings As far as breweries go, I'm pretty impressed with their drink menu. Caters to all kinds of drinkers, make sure to come when they have the $1 wing special! We watched a couple of football games here and it was the perfect atmosphere. Plenty of space, two big screen TV's with the volume on, and air conditioned. We really enjoyed their wings! Ask for them naked, they have several sauces to mix and match. But if you're choosing one, their buffalo is superb! Comes with celery and carrot sticks. read more

Food was decent. Needed seasoning. Pricey for bland bar food. What made this 2 stars was the service. From when we sat down we knew we weren't welcomed. Should have left but it was late and there wasn't many options other than taco bell. The waiter was very rude and has a nasty attitude all night. Since we visited Hawaii we have encountered nothing but nice people but this was the exception. Was honestly shocked. read more
