New England Spas and Hot Tubs…read more NE Spas had an incredibly knowledgeable service department that went over and above to support a buyer who didn't acquire the highest end tub AND lives on a island! This issue arose because I chose to plug in my tub (how hard could it be) because hiring an electrician to come to an island by boat is difficult. Turns out, an electrician would have known to clamp the main power cord. Pulling on it over time ended up shorting out the circuit board. That's when the fun began. NESpas made sure to order the right replacement board, put me on a group chat and walked me through the installation. I clamped the power cord and it's operated flawlessly ever since. After 30 days we were told the covers and one of the glass table tops were in! First time they had called us. We went in and after a 20 minute search they finally found the covers but had no idea where the glass was. So now we need to make a third trip to the store to get the glass that did arrive but no one knows where it is and maybe a fourth trip to get the other missing glass table top. They say that glass will be in 'next week'. We get that there are delays at the factory but the total lack of communication and endless promises about 'next week and we'll call you' are unprofessional and show a lack of respect for our time.

I asked to have someone come out immediately to inspect the pool and assess if any damage was done to the plumbing from their mistake. I was told I could book a service visit (that I would pay for). I expected a call back from a manager yesterday that never came. This is an unbelievable mistake for a pool company to make and could permanently damage my pool. I will not hire them again and I would recommend you don't either. After posting a review on google about this the owner replied and I received a call from a service manager. We talked through things to look out for and fortunately I think I avoided serious damage. They then asked me if I could do anything about the review I left. If the person we interacted with tonight is the owner of this location, I can confidently say…read moreSundance Spas in Amherst, NH won't be in business in a few more years. The level of un-professionalism my wife, myself, and daughter experienced tonight was shocking--so much so that I'm still in disbelief. How this individual manages to sell any hot tubs is beyond me. We visited Sundance Spas for the first time today, on January 16th at 5:30 PM. We wanted to see the Sundance Cameo in person after weeks of serious research. We're ready to purchase a luxury hot tub, and we very easily may have purchased this one tonight if the experience was 100% different. When we arrived, the store was completely empty despite the lights being on and the door open (they close at 6 PM). After walking around awkwardly for over five minutes, someone finally emerged from the back. He didn't introduce himself at all. He just gave us a "hey" and walked over. He was tall, older, with spiked gray hair and an arrogant, annoyed demeanor. I've done my research, so I knew most of the details about the Cameo already. However, I had a few specific questions about the spacing, depth, and warranty that I wanted clarified. Unfortunately, this man clearly wasn't in the mood to provide answers or even basic customer service. When my daughter sat in the tub and couldn't reach the headrest, (which he looked annoyed she was even doing so and made sure to tell her to take her shoes off), I jokingly mentioned we might need a hot tub booster seat for her. His response was a sarcastic "I guess ...." I then asked about the warranty of the steel frames and he said, "10 years." My wife followed up, asking if he knew why it was only 10 years, and he snidely replied, "What, you need more?" He then added, "How do I know? You'd have to call corporate, I don't make them". The way this came out too was so rude sounding. That surprised us...my wife and I looked at each other like "what was that" lol From there I said something along the lines of: "I'm getting some bad vibes here, so I think we're going to leave now. We came in ready to possibly buy this Cameo, just had a few questions, but apparently you're not interested in selling it. So, we started to walk out and I said "Have a good night"....He quickly replied..."Sensitive, huh?" LOL I laughed in disbelief and was about to turn around to respond but my wife stopped me. I have to say...I'm SO glad we visited this store, because it saved us from a long-term headache dealing with this dealer. We were literally prepared to spend the $18,500 cash tonight on this. But what this guy for some crazy reason doesn't understand is that for a family making an investment like this, they don't just look at the product, they look at the experience, as once you buy the tub, you will be tied to that that dealer. The relationship matters more than the hot tub, since they perform the service for next 10x or more years. Here's my FREE advice to the Owner/Management of Sundance Spas in Amherst NH. If this gentleman is a salesman...fire him...he is going to sink your business. If this gentleman is the owner...get into a non-cusomer service business, because you are not cut out for this. If you are the owner and do want some real advice, here it is: Start by developing a customer-first culture. Greet your customers with a smile. Introduce yourself. Shake their hands. Ask how you can help them and provide thoughtful answers to their questions. This is basic customer experience. When you show genuine care for your customers, your business will thrive naturally. People will be so impressed with your service that they'll leave glowing reviews without being asked. In the hot tub industry, it's not just about the product--it's about building relationships that span generations. To potential customers: do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Imagine having to deal with someone like this regarding a warranty?....lol no thanks.

I was an employee for this horrible place for 2 years, and the things I saw almost made my head explode, customers calling corporate with issues only to be ignored, then calling the store for answers we were not able to give. Pools that collapsed during the first year, rust issues, filter issues, and corroborate promised eveything and delivered nothing!!!! My 2nd year they started selling salt water systems and expected people to use them in non rust proof metal pools, if they were aluminum sure no issue, but they did not carry a single one, yet wanted us to keep pushing salt water above ground pools, the furniture was all cheap garbage that also rusted within a year, save your money, go somewhere and pay double and your still getting the better deal, I have never seen a more shady place in my 30+ years of retail! read more

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR TIME, MONEY & ENERGY!…read more We mistakenly used our positive experience when merely buying chemicals at the Bemister's Hudson, NH location, to decide we wanted to have our liner replaced by them as well. We were directed to the Salem location for this sale. 1. Timeline...dates of install, lack of appropriate lead time to secure water delivery, etc....this led to more expensive water due to lack of lead time. We were notified on a Friday to drain our 32,000 gallon pool ( ourselves ) and to personally secure water delivery at a specific time 3 business days later. Having already waited weeks, we did our best. 2. Wrong Liner design installed, "a simple mistake.. " per owner, Darren. Which would have been ok if there was an ounce of compassion or customer service coming from him. 3. Lawn Damage...serious damage done to lawn from van being driven on property. 4. Dangerous methods of install...one person in unsafe conditions. We personally had to watch over the lone installer to ensure his hydration, safety, etc and constantly monitor him for heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Basically working a shift for Bemisters and Pool Liner company, cleaning up vomit in the pool and monitoring for health issues. The night ended in calling 911 to have the worker safely taken to a hospital for heat related health issues. Darren was kept in the loop as the events of this evening took place. Again zero compassion or concern for the installer, he literally said "It wasn't my fault he got heat stroke" and "Well, didn't he come back after leaving the hospital the next day and get it done?" All I have to say is thank God he was with us that day. I hate to think would could have happened if he was out there alone. 5. Cost of liner...was told $1200 and it was $1300. 6. Lack of appropriate response to calls/texts throughout the ENTIRE process. First contact was just shy of a year ago. 7. Trash and old liner was left in our pool area. This liner project was quoted at over 10k after adding separate installation and water fees. Darren was quick to sell then quick to wash his hands on any responsibilities. Only in the very end did he make any attempts to remedy this situation- and even with that, his excuses are endless and his poor communication continued to the point that we just agreed to pay half the balance owed, keep the wrong liner and fix our grass ourselves instead of going through another round of chaos and losing a complete summer and being frustrated.

After a year and a half, we discovered some rot in the basement floor timbers which we realized COULD NOT be ignored. We came to learn of J&S Carpentry & Construction and of their reputation. We invited their president, Jeff Schultz, to take a look at the situation and to estimate the extent of the repairs required and their cost. Jeff provided a detailed repair estimate, and what seemed to us a fair cost, considering the vital nature of work. As is often the case, as Jeff began the work, he discovered the situation was more extensive than he'd foreseen. The repair, including replacement of the rotted timbers, required his installation of several pressurized timbers, all supported above the foundation by mortar. While the repairs, originally estimated to require 3 days, finally required 4, the work was professionally accomplished. With its complexity, we were grateful that we'd contracted a bona fide Construction professional to do this vital work. We now enjoy the confidence that our home has been returned to full health. We were impressed and comforted by how much of the repair work Jeff himself actually performed in this project. Jeff's by-line is "J&S stands for Job Satisfaction."
