I met Henry first before he branched out on his own, and he's so good that I've followed him from Rancho to Upland. I've learned a few things about him that make me really appreciate his work. Being a nail tech isn't just a way to make money for him. He takes his craft seriously and doesn't settle for mediocrity. I'd show him an inspiration pic, and Henry always surpasses my expectations. Sometimes I'd show him two different pics, and he'd put his own artistic spin on it. Fantastic work every single time. As I'd get my nails done, I'd see Jason work on his own clients, many of whom have also followed him from Rancho to Upland. Jason takes his work just as seriously as Henry. Jason can also do very intricate, freestyle artwork. They are both so extremely talented! Also, they do not use cheap products. Even when they were working for someone else, they'd spend their own money to buy higher-quality materials to use on their clients. That's how you know they care about their work. I love them both! Amanda is absolutely amazing, and I adore Janice as well. Honestly, everyone here is incredibly talented and so kind. Every visit has been such a wonderful experience. I brought in an inspiration photo for my Gel-X nails, and Amanda completely exceeded my expectations. My nails came out absolutely stunning, and every single time I leave the salon, I'm genuinely obsessed with the finished result. They pay so much attention to every little detail, and the quality is exceptional. What also sets this salon apart is the artistry. I have had bad french tip pedicure experiences, but this was by far the best experience. They are gentle and precise. My nose was a bit runny from allergies and the staff gave me a box of tissues and a water. They truly care about you having a comfortable experience. The overall hygiene is disgusting. There was a literally smashed bug on the nail bar wall; the bar stools are filthy, and the towels they use are severely stained and dirty. To make matters worse, the nail brush used on me was hard and caked with old, dried product. The owner was also clearly sick; instead of staying home, she just wore a mask and repeatedly coughed directly in my face. The quality of the work is a joke and looks nothing like their Instagram photos. The owner used a polish bottle that was almost completely empty, made endless excuses for her subpar work, and then completely rushed the rest of my service because she forgot about another appointment she had booked. Because she was rushing so badly, she chipped my nail, forcing me to cut it. She didn't care at all when it happened. Unsurprisingly, the polish chipped within a single week, and an entire nail has already fallen off. It's obvious this place is strictly about the money, not quality. There is a massive, uncomfortable contrast in how she treats people; only her regulars get special treatment. I noticed an immediate difference between how badly I was treated and how she treated the regular client she squeezed in (the same person she forgot she even scheduled). People deserve so much better. The terrible quality is disappointing, but the lack of basic sanitation is completely unsafe. Health department, please ticket this establishment. Avoid this place at all costs!
