This is a cool concept for a nail salon. You basically check mark what you want done, including your beverage and they serve you. My nail technician did a good job and was friendly. Went here for a pedicure on Mother's Day. We were able to buy a glass of wine with our pedicure and had amazing service. My polish was pristine and everyone was so nice and professional. This was my first time here as well but I have gotten acrylic nails more times than I can remember in my hometown. First off, we made an appointment at 4:30 but couldn't find it until about 4:45. When we arrived, we were both taken back with nail techs to get started but not a few moments later my friend was back by my side because her nail tech had told her to move while she finished another ladies nails. She waited at least 20 mins before being summoned by a different nail tech to start/finish her nails. My friend is over 21 and never got offered a beverage (nor did I) not even a water. This is their selling point correct? My nail tech was somewhat friendly but nobody seemed happy to be there and they all seemed to be in a rush. I am not a picky person about my nails so it takes a lot for me to complain. The length is shorter than I wanted, they are uneven in length and in thickness(which they are way to thick and very bumpy), I wanted coffin shape but they look more like square, the color is splotchy and I have never experienced that with Gel Nail polish, and lastly, the paint goes all the way to my cuticles. My friends nails were ATROCIOUS! I have never seen such a horrible job. She paid for acrylics but they were filed all the way down to her original nail length, they looked like "bubble nails" ( if you don't know what that is google can help ya out), her cuticles were thrashed by her nail tach and she even made her bleed TWICE! Being her first time to get her nails done, she thought this was the way they looked on her hands so she never wanted to get them done again and even considered skipping class because she was embarrassed by them. After calling and complaining the next day the refused to give a refund but said they would fix them but she would still have to pay. After haggling for a while they finally agreed to fix their mistake for free. Once again she waited 15 mins from her scheduled appointment until being attended to and then had nail techs switch on her AGAIN. They wouldn't even completely re-do her nails because "it would take too long" to fix their mistake. They only filed down the thickness and changed the color. They look better than before but still not even acceptable for a nail salon to let walk out of the door. After tip and all we each ended up paying $50 for horrible nails/service. Moral of the story: never go their unless wiling to waste time, money, and patience. read more

My daughter went to get her nails done with a friend. I didn't go with her, and I regret it. Her cuticles were not pushed back, they were down her nail. They put acrylic nails on her half way down the nail bed. Around the edges of her nail toward the tip, they do not follow the natural nail tip, they cut in. I feel they took advantage of the fact that my daughter did not have an adult with her. They also made her upgrade to gel polish , Which costs more of course. All I all, upon looking at her nail from afar not bad, but close up is a mess. They looked like they were grown out a week or two the day they were put on. I wish I would have gone back and had them fix that. But what are they going to do ? The whole set all over or a fill? It's a new set shouldn't have to do that. I do not recommend this nail salon. I got to the salon at 6:45pm for dip set on my natural nails, online it said the salon would be open until 9pm. They told me they were closing at 7pm and that I had to pay before getting my nails done since they had to "close the books". I gave them the benefit of the doubt.. immediately I was rushed to pick out a color. My nail tech took my color palate away and asked me just to choose one. My hands were man handled, burned because they were taking the previous dip off way too fast. My cuticles were also cut, I had to pull my hand away multiple times because it was painful. It wasn't the "typical" dip application. The tech put dip on the way acrylics are usually applied. I've never seen it done before so I asked my nail tech and she said she doesn't like how the other way looks even though that's how I've been getting it done the last 3 years. DONT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE! I went here and got a fill done and my total was $38 dollars. The guy that did my nails was insanely aggressive and didnt say one word to me while i was in the chair. he seemed frustrated that I was even there. he made them really thick and didnt spend any time filing them. The paint job was not good at all. he missed parts of my nails. I complained to the front desk and he repainted them but just put more paint over the top coat and I was frustrated beyond belief at this point so I left it alone and was going to go get them fixed somewhere else. I paid with a prepaid visa gift card. The receipt states that you can not leave a tip using one of these cards. there wasnt even a tip line on it. I signed the receipt leaving no tip. 2 days later I checked my account and they charged me 58 dollars instead of the 38 I authorized. I called the store and they said that I must have left a 20 dollar tip. I told them that I did not and that they should have my receipt I signed. He started backpedaling and told me that his coworker got receipts mixed up and they put the tip on the wrong one. I went to the salon immediately and they gave me my money back. I said I wasnt happy with the service and they offered to fix my nails. I ended up getting a lady by the name of Tuyen and she did a beautiful job on my nails and I am actually really happy with what she did. Talking to some friends I found out that they have done the same thing to them by adding tips to their cards that they didnt authorize. I highly recommend not using your card when you go to this salon. read more

I have visited this nail salon twice so far and both times have had a pretty good experience. Both times I had appointments in advance. The first visit we were seated in a massage style pedicure chair, offered something to drink and set up to soak our feet while we were waiting for our gals to finish with the appointment before us. One of the selling points of this salon is that they offer a small selection of wine, beer and other beverages to enjoy while you get your nails done, at reasonable prices. Overall I've been very happy with both pedicures. I opted for the classic spa pedicure, which is a 30 minute that includes a warm soak, cuticle treatment, gentle exfoliation, massage and polish. This cost $27 and was totally worth it! The first time I had this done I kept asking if they knew I was just having the basic pedi because it seemed too good! :-) I can only imagine how awesome the higher level pedi is and am kind of thinking next time I might spring for that. This place is beautiful and upscale and my nails looked sooo nice, however she placed the powder so thin on one nail that it actually broke - had nails done Sunday and the nail broke Wednesday morning about 10am - I was doing nothing special just folding laundry. The first time I went here everything was great they girl that did my nail did an amazing job, unfortunately she hasn't been there when I have needed my nails done again. Twice now I have been in there and had two different guys do my nails and twice now I have had to go back and have them fixed within a day. The last time was the final straw, after only 2 hours my nails were chipping, and with gel polish that is not something that should happen that quickly. At $29, the regular pedicure is a really expensive color change. Chairs are jammed into what could be a pretty, sparkly space with lots of glass and mirrors. But there are so many chairs that when they're all filled and customers are literally elbow to elbow the space looks and feels like...well, a factory or dairy barn. I have been going to Nails Uncorked for years. It is now my opinion they are using MMA in my acrylic nails. This product is illegal in most states. EMA is much safer. The service has never been very friendly. I thought by choosing my manicurist carefully I could get a better manicure and pedicure. It did look better and was less painful with the right person doing the work. But now I am of the opinion they are using MMA, this is a much cheaper product than EMA but way more unhealthy. Their chandeliers are often filthy. To me this indicates a lack of care to the salon. I noticed they finally cleaned them the last time I was there. After years of choosing Nails Uncorked, I am looking for a salon that I will be sure they are keeping health, cleanliness and safety first. When a person goes to a salon that is quality, you expect quality work. At all their locations I have been to Nails Uncorked has employed people that are very bad at their jobs. I have needed to chose carefully to get someone that would not rip my acrylics off (painfully). In my experience at Nails Uncorked, most of the people need more training to do a nice job. My natural nails have been torn up until I complained about the pain. I have had crooked nails, and acrylic nails that don't follow the nail line, but point up in the air. I ask for oval nails and have gotten pointed nails, after several times switched manicurist. I love my nails done and by choosing carefully managed to get a nice looking set of acrylic nails. NOT REALIZING TILL CHECKING ON MY COMPUTER THAT ACCORDING TO INFORMATION ON LINE THE PRODUCTS THEY ARE USING IN MY OPINION CONTAIN MMA. read more

They were soooo patient with her even though she moved and messed it up a few times. As a mother I couldn't have been happier! My maid of honors nails chipped THIS MORNING and I'm having to get my nails redone TODAY -- a day before my wedding!! Not to mention they charged my maid of honors card $203.00 (for another bridal party) and then asked for her to also pay for her nails AGAIN. I just got the worst manicure at Nails Uncorked in Springfield. Crooked shaping. Uneven application. I brought in pictures of the nail shape I wanted. Round tips. Not oval or almond or square. Round. Her initial shape was square with the corners rounded a bit. So I showed her the picture again and again said I wanted round. At this point she starts sloping the sides in for more of an almond oval shape. I say again that I want round. after the 4th try of having the nail tech reshape them to the shape I showed her, and having her make it more and more crooked and pointed, I finally just took the file from her and tried to salvage it myself. I was actually sitting in the nail salon crying over how bad it looks as I was filing my own nails trying to fix them. But she was doing the oval/almond shape, not the rounds so my nails were sloped into a point with a narrow end... But only on one side! They were completely lop sided. I had to file my nails down much shorter than I wanted just to marginally even them out and not have them look like they were leaning to one side. The ombre I asked for looks horrible and uneven. Some nails are mostly pink with barely any white on the end some nails are mostly white with just a little pink and a couple of the nails have mostly white on the right side of the nail and mostly pink on the left side. Another tech came over to see if she could help and she also seemed confused over the round nail tip shape. She tried to shape for a minute but didn't understand so I took back the file and did my best to try to even out the horrible job that was done. But because it had been filed so lopsided to begin with a few of my nails are still very mis-shaped. I really wish I had taken pictures throughout this process. In the end, the second nail tech put a top coat on and gave me a discount. A whole 10%. I have included the picture that I showed the nail tech for the reference of the round shape . and a picture of how my nails ended up after I tried fixing them, but they are still crooked. And you can see the ombre is uneven from one nail to the next. It is not often that I try to treat myself and with treatment like that I will Definately not be going there again. read more

Scheduled an appointment for 5pm they didn't get me in until 5:20 pm. I marked down that I wanted a water and never received the water. The lady had me dip my fingers in this heat thing but not telling me what it was or what it did to help remove my old nail dip and she left while it was happening (me, never using it before) my fingers started to burn because the stuff was so hot. They closed at 6 pm that day and the lady was rushing the whole time while doing my nails so she could leave. My nails were messy and the clear layer started to peel off 4 days after. I tried going to my normal nail place as a walk-in but when they were closed I called Nails Uncorked and they were able to get two of us in for pedicures within 20 minutes. I had been to their W 11th location before but this was my first time here. They were friendly when we walked in and had use fill out a paper with our names and what we wanted. The pedicure room is a bit small but they have a couple TVs you can watch while you get your pedicure. Their W 11th location is much larger. We weren't offered any drinks and I wasn't sure if the drinks on the paper cost extra so we just had water. The woman who did my pedicure was nice and did a good job but it's not the best pedicure I've gotten. She was great at the leg and foot massage but the paint job (french) was a little crooked on one toe and thicker than I normally like. I don't want to be picky though, it was still an overall good experience and since we just got the basic pedicure we were in and out pretty quickly. Hopefully the polish will last a while! read more

Didn't glue the fake nails to my real ones all the way and made some nails longer than the other on the other hand. I was initially very excited to get my nails done here. I saw the photos and the quality looked ensuring. I booked an appointment a week in advance. On the day of it took an hour after my booked appointment for me to finally get seen. I wasn't offered a beverage of any sort. I was happy with my nails but not with the wait time or the service. The person who did my nails tried to overcharge me. She seemed very overwhelmed and in a rush as the salon was obviously over booked. Overall I was very disappointed. Not sure if I will be returning. The best part about this place is that they were open on Christmas Eve. I got a mani/pedi with gel polish. I don't think the guy who did my nails had much experience. I'm wondering if maybe I would have gotten nicer nails if I had gone to the beauty school. The gel polish was all completely uneven - thick in some places and thin in others. He got gel polish on my cuticles (which will cause lifting within days on me) and on my skin on my toes, which then ended up with jagged edges snagging my bed sheets. My husband and I went here for our anniversary and it was very relaxing! Kim did a great job on my pedi and mani. She put a double clear coat to make my nailpolish last longer and fan dried my nails, she said so they wouldn't bubble. My nails looked awesome! To start off I to wait a about 20 mins to get seated at my scheduled appointment. The fella ended up stabbing my skin while taking off the cuticles. Told the guy I quit and didn't want my pedi and he pulled my feet forward and kept going. Then kept trying to pull away and he continued to massage my legs. After he put the hot towel and walked away I cleaned everything up and told him again I had asked him to stop, not only did I feel violated in a way but also the owner said since there was no blood I still had to pay. She said I should have walked away then and there but I was not alone and still had to wait for my sister to finish her pedi. I haven't paid yet but they took my ID info and will review footage to see if I'm lying. Worst service I have ever received. I approached the guy at the end and he denied everything and kept walking away when I asked him why he didn't own up to his awful work. He ignored me and shoo'd me away. Couldn't help but leave in tears by the way I was treated. As a mom with a 4 month old I would have never expected to go through this awful experience at a place I was going to seek relaxation and a bit of peace. read more

LOVE the new location on West 11th! I moved from Portland a year ago and have not been happy with the local nail salon options. This place is brand new, gorgeous, well-staffed, and they took excellent care of me today for a solar fill and deluxe pedi. Very clean, great service, and a truly luxurious experience. I could have done without the hip-hop videos playing on all the big screens (that was a lot of booty for 10 in the morning), but otherwise I'm very happy.
