My husband took me here for our two year wedding anniversary. We both wanted to get a Mani and Pedi together. The lady that I had it was extremely rude and rough with me. I would not put my arm right and she would grab and pulled away from me. She was really rude to my mother-in-law and my husband, talking back-and-forth with another girl laughing at us. I can't quite see if she was talking about us because it was in a different language. All I know is that she would look up at me look at the girl and start laughing. I think that's very rude when I'm paying money for her services !' By the time she was done with my nails I didn't even want to get my feet done not only was she not doing my nails right she literally slept on the cuticle oil at the end. My bad, I should've known better than to go into a mall salon, but a lady I met referred me. From the start, when I called to ask if they were busy or could they accommodate a "walk in", the receptionist was really abrupt; I said I was about 15 minutes away, she replied "ok be here at 1:15" and said goodbye quickly and click. Just not over friendly phone communication- maybe I'm a bit more sensitive than some due to my positions working in customer service. I arrived, and I've only had probably 3 pedicures in my life; this place had me in and out so fast my head was spinning, like a fast food restaurant. Great place to get your nails done. I had an awesome first experience coming in last Sunday (yes, open on sundays). The place was really cute and spread out. I like how they separated the pedicure area from the nail stations. Sadly I didn't get my technicians name but she did a great job removing my acrylics without hurting me or any cuts which to me is pretty awesome in itself! She then listened to some design ideas I had and went ahead with a gel manicure. It's been a week and my nails are still holding up looking good. First, here's​ a little background. I'm a 30s-something male and this was my first (and later second) hoorah at the whole mani-pedi shebang. I want to say that I was dragged kicking and screaming by my girlfriend... But that would be a horse faced lie gosh darnit! I was actually quite excited to see what all the fuss was about. And honestly, being able to claim that I got my "nails did" was high on the agenda. So off my virgin self went into the den of housewives, highschoolers, and all the fancy grandma's from the other side of town. My first impression was: holy snap! This salon is classy as 'eff in terms of design and presentation. Granite table tops, plush seating, a full wine bar, big screens with the Pac-12 channel on in 4K (huge plus), 90's hip-hop playing subtlety in the background. Heck, even my favorite throwback jam was on! Needless to say: Kyle likey. Kyle likey'ed a lot. Service was prompt and friendly. The owner was hustling the front counter and was super personable. Within a couple minutes of meeting him I found myself kicking back in a leather chair receiving both a foot AND a back massage! What kind of wizardry is this I asked!? All the while, my girlfriend was gleefully picking through polish colors, planning the arrival of my soon to be exquisite nails. It was at about this time that I was offered a refreshment by the staff to accompany me on my journey into toe and finger glam. How has the female gender alluded us from this magic world of posh and relaxation so effectively? I pondered this question almost as deeply as my own existence during my experience. By the time things were wrapping up I had already begun to go through the shock of withdrawal. Like a love affair freshly broke, I looked down to my newly "did" orange and black nails hoping for solace. I wasn't yet ready to leave this extravagant level of pamper. Nails Uncorked plays to many different elements, and to a large extent, aspects of that concept work out nicely. It's very well kept in terms of cleanliness, aesthetically it's very pleasing on the eyes, and the staff is polite, humourous, & sociable. It wasn't until later on in the week that I came across some criticisms worth mentioning. Although being sold on the initial face value of the services provided, the longevity of the product didn't hold up quite as expected. Unfortunately the polish on my fingers began to naturally peel & chip on the sides in only a matter of days. I'm told by my girlfriend that is big time no bueno, as it happened to hers just as quickly. And while my toenails held their form well, that quick deterioration of the finger polish turned ugly enough to warrant death and removal by acetone. I wish I could say that this was an isolated incident... but it happened just as fast after my second visit. So all in all, my opinion of Nails Uncorked is somewhat of a mixed bag. While mind-blowingly pleasurable to the uninitiated, the "afterwards" leaves a lot to be desired (I'm assured of this by my girlfriend...). Excellent service, subpar product. If they can just fine tune the latter, it would give them that extra push into a couple more stars. read more

if i could give 0 stars i absolutely would. Every time i come in im usually with amy and when i have her i always always always leave happy. I came in yesterday and had someone else i never got a name but i left so so so unhappy. I wanted a deep red but wasn't finding the exact color i wanted so i went with one similar to it...to make a long story short i didn't like it and asked if we could just do black she then got mad at me and was like "they're already done" she did end up changing them but charged me more just to change the color and she was so sloppy with it because she was mad that i asked to change the color so they were thick and bumpy and there were spots where the red still showed. When she was done i thanked her and apologized and she said "next time tell me after one finger not when im done" which i do understand but from a far they were fine up close they were just not what i wanted. By the end of the night the polish was peeling and denting because she didn't let them cure long enough so i had to just file everything down and paint them myself. I recommend going to amy she has never been rude to me and her work is always excellent. read more

I've been here twice with the first experience being okay. The second time, not so much. First, I feel like the guy rushed through my $48 pedicure. He didn't pay attention to details such as ensuring my heels were smoother than when I arrived and didn't even bother performing maintenance on the side of my toe nails. Second, I asked for a design but that was completely ignored (or forgotten) when I realized he had applied the top coat to my already painted nails. Again, I believe this was due to him rushing. Lastly, the selling point of this establishment is that they sell alcohol. Not once was I even offered a drink. This would have been such an easy way to make more money but apparently sacrificing decent customer service is more important. Paid for a special pedicure and it was nothing special. I look forward to the massage part and it was very light and not on my feet. Totally missed doing any exfoliation on my feet. I asked for a design on my toes and at the end was told that it could not be done on regular polish. I always have this done and have never heard of such a thing. My friend was with me and we both felt like the service was rushed. Her polish was sloppy and needed to be re-done. This was a $52 dud. I will not return. read more

My son took me here for Mother's Day so I was extremely excited. Upon arrival I could see that they were rather busy. The younger guy working the counter was a bit rude and abrasive when checking us in for the appointment. My son made two appointments one for myself and one for my daughter in law to which he said there was only one name listed. My son reiterated the names and the young man got a little irritated and walked away. I chalked it up to it being the holiday. After waiting twenty minutes we were finally offered a drink. I must say the offer amazing local wines so that was a huge plus. After waiting ten more minutes we were seated in a small little nail section very close to each other in the back of the salon. I am giving this business four stars because the customer service was lacking but the girls that did our nails were amazing. My nails literally still looked like they were just done five weeks later. When I gave the lady any card to pay for mine and my friends nails. She ran it for over $200.00 for a bridal party that was there, then tried to run mine again!! and tried to tell me it was declined! No my bank just stopped them from running another $100.00 after the first charge. I was getting pissed because I had already waited a half hour. 45 minutes later they took me back. Don't waste your time and money. I've been to this nail salon three times now and don't plan on ever going back. The first time I went, it was fine - nothing extraordinary. The second time, I got both a gel mani and pedicure for a wedding. I asked for a French tip... big mistake!! I've never seen a French tip done so haphazardly... every finger looked different and she didn't clean up the lines with a brush (like most places do) even after I asked if she could fix the tips so they were more even. Within a week, my nails had chipped off. This has never happened to me with gel. I normally get get to at least 2 weeks without significant wear. This week, I went in to have the gel removed and I asked if they could give me a regular polish mani once they removed it. I could not communicate with my nail artist which becomes a problem when asking for things to be fixed or simply asking for a certain nail length or shape. The rest of the mani led me to believe this place does not hire licensed nail techs. Nothing was the standard I've gotten anywhere else in town. The nails turned out clumpy, streaky, and overall not clean looking. I was not given a hand massage or lotion. At the end, my nails were very wet still so I asked if I could sit and dry them with a fan. She didn't understand so she just waved her hands as a fan to dry them for about 30 seconds when she told me to get up and pay. I couldn't even reach into my purse because my nails were so wet and I would smudge them if I did. She reached into my purse for me. LESS THAN 24 hours later..... half of my nails had chipped off. At this point I would rather of painted my own nails. I was so disappointed I went back in the following day to explain my situation in hopes they would do something for me or at the very least apologize. The manager I spoke to did not apologize and told me to write my name and number down and someone would call me. Then she just walked away. You would think if a customer went through the trouble of coming back in they would want to treat them with respect and service and make the situation right. They didn't do anything and I have not received a call. Now coming to Yelp to warn you! Don't expect much from this place other than some cheap wine. read more

I took my acrylics off and haven't been back for a while, I believe both Brennan and his sister left, I tried to have a French tip with pink (I picked the pink, and he tried to try to switch it, it was hardly pink, he put it on I said no) he painted my color and then the French tip went on, it was bad lines just my big toe was big white on one side small on the other, each toe was different length white. Then since I no longer wanted the tip, he pulled out the drill then chose to file it off instead, which he cut up my skin then he put on the remover which BURNT the cuts from him filing. I have gone to this salon many times over the past few years. They used to do an amazing job. Unfortunately the service has been progressively getting worse. The techs are always rushing through the motions and not taking time to do the task well - forget about making the client feel "pampered". Last Sunday I went in for a manicure. I was assigned to a tech who is obviously still learning. In my opinion she was not ready for human clients. 1st- using dremel to remove my polish, it got really hot and burned me. 2nd- removing cuticles, she gauged and tore 4 of them so badly that they wouldn't stop bleeding. Several other techs came over to look at them bleeding and one gave her some liquid antiseptic to put on them. 3rd - none of my nails are the same length or shape and they have jagged edges. 4th- the polish is thick and lumpy looking. It has been 4 days since my manicure and my nails look horrible! The nails have torn and broke. The polish has chipped and peeled. I will be going to another salon this weekend to have the damage repaired, but doubt I will have polish or pretty nails for awhile. My nails need time to recover. Never going back read more
