Had a simple mani and pedi done there like ABC... The lady would keep hurting me and every time i would say "ouch" she would get mad at me , really? ! And i had to pay for my torture almost $40 included tips. Another thing -Major lack of English. I couldn't make her understand that she should be more careful and gentle. I had tried this place out a few times before for a basic mani/pedi. It was simple and cheap and I didn't have a problem. I also get my eyebrows done there, no problem. I went in for a gel manicure yesterday and that was a big problem. I've had gel nails done before, and I had planned to go to my regular salon to get them done for a very important job interview, however, since I was in the area and my friend likes getting her eyebrows done there I figured I'd save myself the time and worry and kill two birds with one stone. The wait was long, but it was understandable because it was a Sunday afternoon. It took them a while to even acknowledge me and my friend, however. We stood there looking around before finally after a long period of time asked us what we wanted. They asked us to wait, I finally got called for my eyebrows. The process was very quick and I felt very rushed. Then we went on to my nails. She did a very, VERY, quick job on them and she filed one nail crooked. I told her about it, nothing was done. Then she put the first coat of the gel polish on and left me in the UV light machine for about 15 min while she finished up a pedicure. So she quickly puts on the other coats and doesn't even say I'm done, just walks away. The service has really gone down the hell in this place. The next day (today) I wake up and notice that the polish on my thumbs bubbled and that the tips of my nails look dirty. Then I noticed that my pinky nail chipped. The whole purpose of getting gels is so that they won't chip. I go back for a refund because of the crappy job they did and they tell me that it's my fault that the nails are dirty and they chip. I show them that the black/gray gunk is on the polish, not on my nails and the didn't do anything to offer to help or fix the situation. Instead they told me to go to my regular salon where they did a better job if that's what I wanted. I highly recommend them and I'm a bit surprised with some of the neg reviews. The gel manicures are $25, which I think is pretty cheap. The nail techs always get what I ask for. Best nail shop I've been to in a while. Seeing I work close I decided to stop in and get a pedicure. Everyone is really friendly and super accommodating. They started me right away and the whole service was super relaxing. You can tell they actually know what they are doing and take their time. Although it's not the fanciest they still do a really thorough job I've been twice already with two different people and each time the work is the same ! A lady took me to a room and brought in another one woman, at first i thought she was there to translate but after she nicked me good the thread i asked if she was training her and if she knew how to thread. the other girl (the English speaking one) said yes she knows how to do threading. Where do I start? I have been frequenting nail salons regularly for the past 10 years and I have never been to a salon that treated me the way they did. When I first walked in there, I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach that i should have listened to, but didn't (hate it when that happens). i specifically asked for thin acrylics... did i get thin acrylics? Luckily, I have read all the bad comments after I visited this place I walked-in for the first time today for manicure and got pretty much what expected -- good-priced fast and good manicure without cuts, and even more than expected -- a bottle of water during the short waiting time, hand massage and transparant nail cover included in the procedure. Since then, I am a total fan! Every person I have used (4 now) for their services has been polite and professional. The manicures and pedicures I get are great and a really reasonable price from what I've heard! (Don't have much to compare to.) I also had waxing done once here and the girl who did it was pretty professional. So usually I go to Yelp 4 reviews and look for the best reviews. That's how I judge places to go but today I decided to go back to Nails By Us for a third time. Comments that I've seen were issues with fungus, issues with personalities excetera. Maybe I am not a good judge I don't go to any other places, as this is not a luxury I can put in my budget but it was a necessity. Did you know that when you're older your nails get thicker I never knew that well today I was told that so my review is four stars because I had two ladies that worked on me and did a fabulous job and I will go back and I will refer other people. I have been customer for few years At This location and recently had an acrylic on my nail about a month a got so I decided to remove them today to have full mani and pedi in the same location with my mother and her friend .They made us to have our feet inside the water for one hour and then after that a lady came to me which instead of removing my nail color with acetone first and removing Acrylics from my nails !!!she began to use the machine on my nails which would damage my own natural nails!!!As soon as she began I was trying to make her to understand that I have an acrylic under my nail color so for that reason I request a guy to came and translated for me .then she raped my nail in an acetone foil ,the way that they usually remove Gel nail Color !!!!so the lady left me and she said another person would come to do the service while I was having my foot inside the water more than one hour .There was another lady which went to do the service on a lady who came after us .As I said we were 3 people one mani with 2 full mani and pedi which wanted to use their service .After all I told them I don't want to do my nail anymore because of their very bad service and disrespected behavior.They were just began to talk Vietnamese and the manager wasn't responsible .also I realized that some of the staffers are using the same clipper from pro IOU's customer to cut another customers nsI don't recommend this place anymore . read more

For the past couple of days I've been in desperate need of getting my nails repaired. I took a chance and Googled a few nail shops near my job in desperation to get my nails done before my holiday Christmas party on Wednesday. I found a location about 4 miles from my job and gave them a call to schedule an appointment. The lady that picked up wasn't even pleasant during the initial call. Nevertheless, I still took a chance to get my nails repaired in desperation due to a number of factors. Upon, my arrival, as I walked in, no one greeted me, and it was as if they did not want to do business with me, and they were bothered by my presence. To be quite honest, I felt unwelcome at this establishment. There may have even been some underlying racism and Prejudice towards African American women. I was no different than anybody else, as I work in Glendale and frequent many of the stores and restaurants. Furthermore, after waiting 15 minutes, the Nail attendant finally proceeded to do my toes. The water was scorching hot to the point I had to take my feet out and beg for colder water,in which the Nail attendant became irritated. When I asked when they were going to start my nails, the nail attendant became very irate and rude stating that they do not do mani pedi at the same time. At this point, I had enough of the rudeness and unprofessionalism at this nail salon and politely walked out barefooted and broken hearted. This place does not even deserve to be on Brand blvd as the customer service is horrible, and the environment was filth. I was allowed to walk out an unsatisfied customer with no shoes on, and wasn't even offered a pair of slippers. Although I was unsatisfied, I still tipped the attendant who started my mani for her time. I am appealed with Nails by US, and my next step is to also contact the better business bureau about their discriminatory business practices. read more

AVOID coming to this nail salon. This place is so DIRTY! As I waited for my turn I realized how dirty the place was. I picked my color and they had me sit on one of the chairs. I looked at the chair and got grossed out... I did not want to sit on that disgusting chair!! I looked at the table it was also extremely dirty!! I was sitting very uncomfortable making sure atleast my hair doesnt touch the filthy chair. The lady came over after she had done pedicure on someone else and I saw her re-use her gloves. She put the dirty gloves she used on someone else to work on me. I called her out on it and she immediately switched them out to clean ones. I was already TURNED OFF and so grossed out.
