I asked for a basic mani-pedi service, and they were able to get right to work on me after coming in, sending two technicians to work on me at once. The technicians were pretty quick, efficient, and seemed skilled enough. There seemed to be a little bit of a language barrier when giving specific instructions to certain technicians, but the communication wasn't too bad. Pretty happy overall with how inexpensive and fast the service was. I'd give a perfect 5/5, if not for there needing to be some improvement--like with the cleanliness and equipment. read more

A lady took me to a room and brought in another one woman, at first i thought she was there to translate but after she nicked me good the thread i asked if she was training her and if she knew how to thread. the other girl (the English speaking one) said yes she knows how to do threading. I highly recommend them and I'm a bit surprised with some of the neg reviews. The gel manicures are $25, which I think is pretty cheap. The nail techs always get what I ask for. Since then, I am a total fan! Every person I have used (4 now) for their services has been polite and professional. The manicures and pedicures I get are great and a really reasonable price from what I've heard! (Don't have much to compare to.) I also had waxing done once here and the girl who did it was pretty professional. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was she was rude about me needing my eyebrows done "as well", when that wasn't what I was requesting and my eyebrows were just done recently. Luckily, I have read all the bad comments after I visited this place I walked-in for the first time today for manicure and got pretty much what expected -- good-priced fast and good manicure without cuts, and even more than expected -- a bottle of water during the short waiting time, hand massage and transparant nail cover included in the procedure. I stumbled upon this nail salon today and I'm praying I didn't take more home (infection). This place was very dirty and looked like it didn't belong in the area. Staff is rude with their fake smiles as they talk about you while you're sitting there. How is it that in any other type of job , this isn't acceptable except for Asian salons. So usually I go to Yelp 4 reviews and look for the best reviews. That's how I judge places to go but today I decided to go back to Nails By Us for a third time. Comments that I've seen were issues with fungus, issues with personalities excetera. Maybe I am not a good judge I don't go to any other places, as this is not a luxury I can put in my budget but it was a necessity. Did you know that when you're older your nails get thicker I never knew that well today I was told that so my review is four stars because I had two ladies that worked on me and did a fabulous job and I will go back and I will refer other people. I've only had good experiences here. A big note is I don't use polish or gel or anything like that so take that out of the equation but give these guys a shot read more

I have been customer for few years At This location and recently had an acrylic on my nail about a month a got so I decided to remove them today to have full mani and pedi in the same location with my mother and her friend .They made us to have our feet inside the water for one hour and then after that a lady came to me which instead of removing my nail color with acetone first and removing Acrylics from my nails !!!she began to use the machine on my nails which would damage my own natural nails!!!As soon as she began I was trying to make her to understand that I have an acrylic under my nail color so for that reason I request a guy to came and translated for me .then she raped my nail in an acetone foil ,the way that they usually remove Gel nail Color !!!!so the lady left me and she said another person would come to do the service while I was having my foot inside the water more than one hour .There was another lady which went to do the service on a lady who came after us .As I said we were 3 people one mani with 2 full mani and pedi which wanted to use their service .After all I told them I don't want to do my nail anymore because of their very bad service and disrespected behavior.They were just began to talk Vietnamese and the manager wasn't responsible .also I realized that some of the staffers are using the same clipper from pro IOU's customer to cut another customers nsI don't recommend this place anymore . read more

This is place is absolutely fabulous!!!!!!!!!!! I have been getting my nails done with Van, the owner, since I was about 16yrs (over 10 years ago). Nails by us on Brand and Nails R us on Los Feliz are owned by the same person. My usual here is a full set and pedicure and I can not tell you how many people compliment me on my nails. I'm not one of those people with naturally beautiful hands. Total opposite actually. I have short fat hands and she manages to do an excellent job. My pedicures also come out fantastic each time. I'm surprised the person who reviewed this place before me had a bad experience. I really think she should give them a second try. I honestly firmly believe they do a really nice job. And OMG... I forgot to mention that the prices is unparalleled. Sooooooo reasonable. A spa pedicure is $15.... really?? I don't know of anywhere else that is that cheap. I should also mention that I have tried numerous other places in Glendale and this is my favorite spot. Right next to the Glendale Galleria, America, and best yet there is a Starbucks a couple stores down. =) read more

I've come to this nail place off and on for a couple of years. It is close to work, so it was great to stop by and wait out traffic by getting a spa mani pedi. I had not been in for maybe 6-8 months. I just moved and had not found a place near me I loved, so I thought I would go back. I made an appointment, and they took me right away. I wanted gel nails, and had gel on my hands already. I made small talk while they started my pedi, and mani. She put the foil in my nails, and then began to push it off with that tool. Then she used a nail file, that was basically rough sand paper. She started on my pinky, and I said ouch a few times. She was rough, and often scraped against my skin. My nails were covered in white from the file, and I couldn't see my nails, but a few were burning. I put my nails in the water, and see that on my pinky, and part of my ring finger, you could see my skin through my nails. I pointed it out, and she said it was okay, and finished my left hand. I put that hand in and same thing with my pinky, and three other nails. My right hand pinky was by far the worst. I ask if it was safe, and she said again it was okay. This is about the time the guy doing my pedi cut too close, and my toe was bleeding. I looked at the pinky again, and it continues to burn. I told her I didn't want the gel, and that I wanted to leave. I would pay for what they did. She brought another lady over to translate, who I thought was a manager. The manager said she filed too much, and corrected the nail person. I started welling up with tears because I've had gel, and that has NEVER happened. It was painful, and looked awful! Basically they finished the pedi, and she added color to hide the see through factor. The nail lady kept saying I need nail strengthener because my nails are too thin ( umm now they are!). My thumb smudged an she just painted a line of color over, after it was dry. The "bad" pinky also has a chip on top which completes the look. In the drying area, I asked the manager if we should take the polish off the pinky because it was burning and she said I couldn't go out like that, and the nail wasn't bleeding through the skin, so it was okay, and common. The lady that did my nails did give me a massage, and at the end they did take care of part of the service, but it was an awful experience. I won't go back. read more
