I went in for a manicure and pedicure. I was told I had a 10 minute wait. After 20 minutes, they had me soak in a tub of cold water while I waited for a pedicure. I sat in cold water for 15 minutes and then asked for someone to give me warm water since it was clear I was not going to get a pedicure anytime soon. I finally got a pedicure about 15 minutes later. Once that was done, I was told I would need to wait another 10 minutes for a manicure. After I waited 30 minutes, I was told it would be another 20 minutes OR I could come back tomorrow. I asked for my check and was told I would be charged an extra $2.00 if I used my bank card to pay. My eyes are rolling over... I will never go back. I'd give zero stars if that was a thing. read more

I was visiting Austin and needed a nail repair. First, they were very rude. It was very apparent that nobody wanted to be bothered with a nail repair versus a more lucrative service. Finally they gave to a girl in the back. She was actually very sweet. It was clear that she was beyond nervous. 90 min later, my one nail was FINALLY almost done and she filed so hard that the acrylic broke and flew off. She cut me do badly that she had to put styptic to stop the bleed. The nail was misshapen and did not match at all. I finally just had to go. As i was leaving, she says "Thank you for letting me practice on you." Update: 5 days later...the nail has popped completely off. Worst nail experience ever! read more

It's been a month since my initial review. I attached a picture of 2 of the 3 nails splitting on my right hand. I have nails splitting on my left hand too. It's going to take months for my nails to recover. A coarse file should not be used on natural nails. This caused unnecessary damage and here I am at least five weeks later still dealing with the aftermath. read more

I'm super picky about my nail places. I completely blame it on living in NYC and getting amazing manicures for super cheap. I was visiting in Austin and I had a polish chipping situation. Work has been busy which meant my nails were neglected. I was desperate. I headed to Nails by Pro. The pedicure chairs are nice and cushy, with an attached platform to hold your purse. I got the sea salt pedi. It was an upgrade from the regular one, but I really don't know how much different they were except for the up-charge. It was fine and my nails were clean. A little sloppy on the polish once I examined at home. Next I got a gel mani. Again, a little sloppy with some overflow on the side of my nails, inconsistent polish down to the cuticles and some of my nails weren't filed down straight. She did a nice job cleaning the nails though! The staff was really friendly and you could tell there were a few regulars in there. The place is nice and clean, which is a top priority for me when visiting a nail salon. I would go back if I needed to, but would be interested in trying another place instead. read more

They're like my second family. I've been with them now for almost 6 years. They never cease to amaze me. Ann is also wonderful, and also Christina and Ann are the owners and run a Beautiful salon . They have more colors than you could ever imagine. It's like walking into a model studio you're never able to see enough colors. It would take you three weeks to see all of them because there's so many to choose from. This place pampers you, makes you feel at home, even gives you a glass of wine. They're even open late for the ladies in the workforce. They're open till 730 so even if you hard work till five, you can go relax and get pampered at Nails buy pro. This place is not good. On my left hand, 3 of my fingers have scabs from where they were cut and my ring finger is infected. All of this is right at the cuticles. My ring finger has been throbbing, has a green, puss filled spot surrounded by purple and it is hot to the touch. They were understaffed and rushing people around. I went in here to have an old chipped SNS manicure removed. My technician used an acrylic nail to pry the old nail polish off, which was slightly painful. The result was damaged nails with white spots. This place charged me $10 for this. I have never been to a place that 1) charged to remove nail polish alone 2) did not use acetone to gently soak off the polish. I would not recommend going here . read more

I love this nail salon! I have been coming here since I moved to Austin in September of 2015. They always do an amazing job and they are always so kind. They are also very fast too which can be very beneficial if you are in a rush and need your pedicure and manicure done at once. Now of course if you are there to relax, they will do one at a time! I usually have Kim or Nikki do my mani and pedi. They have switched owners about 6-8 months ago and the new owner is super nice and works very hard.
