I walked in on Nov 9 and asked for a a full set of coffins acrylic nails with regular polish. After they had finished and I was letting the nails dry I told them that the polish was clumpy and I said I would be returning the next day so that they could fix them. I've had my nails for about three days now and they are already falling off. After getting them " fixed " I came home and did them myself. The pedicure was nice but the manicure was not. I had gone to Nails by Kelly one time before with a gift card for my birthday. I was very pleased, so I went back with a friend. The experience was not a good one for either of us. Our nails were cut way too short, then all of mine started splitting and breaking. I am not sure if the instruments were not sanitized or what, but my nails have still not recovered. I was getting the manicure and pedicure for my mother's 90th birthday party. I was so embarrassed by the way they looked. I sent an email to the owner, Kelly, but got no response. Never told me) 80 mins to do my nails - acrylic with what was supposed to be gold Hombre but what I got was gold glitter tips. Not the salons fault she just didn't know what Hombre is. Came in today to get a regular manicure with a friend. When she started, I immediately noticed that the nail tools all seemed dirty with the nail files and buffer looking very used and unsanitary. The manicure seemed a bit rushed. My friend I was with had a terrible experience with her cuticles being cut too short and 3 of her fingers proceeded to lightly bleed. She also got a light, nude color which would need multiple coats to show up. The man doing her nails only put 2 coats and slapped a top coat on. My friend and I are both pretty disappointed with our experiences and wish we would have read more reviews before deciding to get our nails done here. read more

Very disappointed today. Have been a regular for over a year. Tina who usually does my nails did an awful job on French. The white is pulled all through the pink. Have clear polish on my skin I will be picking off for days. Awful! I asked for a decoration on my toes...I had a picture. Very simplistic pink flower. I ended up with Daisy's. Was redone and still looks elementary. When I checked out I told Serena the pink and white on my nails looks awful. She no problem taking my money and offered absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. There went $120 out the drain since I will have to find another salon to fix my fingernails. Also, was confronted by Tim while I was there because someone I had brought with me before left them a bad review. My relaxing morning was ruined. I won't be back. Very disappointed. I was uncomfortable the whole time I was here. The girl sitting next to me was in fear of being cut again, which made me scared. I started going to the nail place in horseshoe bay next to Julie's and pizza Mia. It's nice clean there and no one is complaining or being bullied into nail decisions they don't want. Kelly also kept my all of my cash change as a tip, when I didn't tell her that was ok. Then she emailed me asking me to take this review down, claiming there was a miscommunication due to the language barrier.. but she can carry an hour long conversation with the locals just fine. read more

My daughter and I were spending a weekend at Horseshoe Bay and decided to try Nails by Kelly based on the reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed all the ladies working at the salon. They were all super sweet and gave you their honest opinions. It happened to be prom weekend in Marble Falls so there were a few high school girls getting their nails done too. It was obvious that Kelly and her staff are quite popular in the local area. One of high school girls even tried her prom dress on for us all to have a look. We had a very enjoyable afternoon and our nails look fabulous!! We had them do the gel nails so no waiting for drying - love it! I love nails by Kelly. Serena always does my dip manicure and it is always flawless. When there are issues she always fixes them before I leave. I am always satisfied, they are willing to try different styles and designs. I prefer an almond shape and am never disappointed with the result. I got my nails done by the lady with the shortest hair and I highly do not recommend going to get your nails done here unless it's by kelly herself. The lady cut me at least 5 times and my shape (almond) of my nails were uneven and she kept apply coats of white before letting it dry. In other words it was a clumpy mess. Then she used a PINK top coat on WHITE nails. I was there for almost two hours bc she kept getting up and talking to another worker. I went to another nail salon to have them fixed. The lady at regals nails was amazing she trimmed, reshaped, and properly painted with a CLEAR coat. She only charged me $10 bc she felt bad that I was charged $42 for a half assed job. Great place and I highly recommend. We're here on vacation and I loved my nails and pedi. Kelly was on site and did my nails. She was adamant that if I had any problems, didn't like my color, etc to please let them know and they would fix it. Her husband was there helping since it was a busy weekend, and he was so sweet. He brought everyone cocktails and checked us out. I got the SNS/dipped mani for the first time and it was great. The massage on the pedi was long and thorough. All was reasonably priced (SNS mani- $41, reg pedi, $30ish). If we vacation here again, I'll be back. :) read more

I went here while visiting my sister who owns a local restaurant and thought I'd try this nail place, after shopping at Salem's next door. I was very disappointed with Nails By Kelly. Not only did Kelly herself, start an argument with me when I questioned the prices before I got the work done, (then she seemed to be laughing at me with another girl who worked there, in their native language)! When I was done, she was mad I used a credit card to pay for my service, instead of paying her cash!? This nail salon seems like a clique or private salon for only those that know each other and if you don't, they make you feel like you don't belong there. I will continue going to K B Nails and Spa right across the street, where they are very courteous to me, don't mind how I pay them and offer me something to drink. read more

This salon, by far, surpasses all nail salons in the Hill Country area. I have lived in this area my entire life and I have tried a lot of different places over the years, looking to find one that fit my needs and finally here it is! I called for a fill and polish change yesterday and they fit me in at the end of the day. I had changed my mind about the design I got and was not 100% satisfied, I called Kelly this morning and asked her if I could come in sometime today for a polish/design change and she accommodated me immediately. She told me to come in then. I was in and out within 10 minutes for no charge! I brought her some Pecan English Toffee from a chocolate shop down the street just to show my gratitude! Kelly was nice enough to open the salon an hour early to accommodate all four of us at once for the milk and honey pedi. I have had my nails done here as well as pedicures throughout the years. I would say that I have walked in without an appt more than 40 times. I have always left happy with the services provided. However, today at 4:00 I walked in with my mother and niece and instantly felt like we were a huge inconvenience. We were not greeted kindly and were basically talked out of staying. "Do you have an appointment? Do you mind if I call a client who has an appointment but hasn't shown up yet? Do you have SNS nails currently?" When we replied no to all of the above, they still seemed very put out that we would all have liked a new set of nails and wanted to spend 150+ dollars with their business. I will never go back. Nails by kelly It's a horrible salon to go to if you don't like being called out by the owner. She seems to have no boundaries and is very unprofessional. If for some reason you cannot make your appointment and don't have a chance to call her to cancel she will personally text you and ask you not to call her salon if you're not going to show, then post it on Instagram. I should have listened to Tiffany 9/21/2014. I went in for a fill on my acrylic nails. I was their first customer and arrived just as they were opening. The lady sat me down, grab the dremel tool and immediately sliced open my little finger. The cut was all the way across the back of the finger. She wanted to blot it, put alcohol on it and keep going. I stood up, asked for a band aid, and walked out! Not a good experience!!! read more
