Ive been coming to see Nancy for 6 years as of July 15th. She has been nothing but gracious and kind, we have even developed a friendship! She has serviced many of my family members as well as other people of color, specifcally speaking black people. Even as walk ins, when she isnt booked, which is rare these days, soooo guess what? You have to make an appointment. Ive definitely witnessed her having to turn away many walk-ins while she is working on me. She just doesnt have the bandwidth. It's just Nancy working the salon all by herslelf. Her daughter is here for the summer, to assist her with answering the phones and booking appointments. It is truly amazing what some of us will try to concoct out of nothing. Its people like you who make our REAL AND TRUE struggle difficult. Tiara is TRIPPIN! Dont believe a word, folks! read more

Nancy always takes great care of me! I love her little salon. It's nicely decorated and welcoming. She worked with me a couple months ago to fit me in when I needed my nails done before a wedding. It's a small salon where you basically get a private mani/pedi and I love it! Nancy's prices are super affordable and she is great at what she does! My SNS lasts forever! read more

I highly recommend Nancy at Creative Nails. She did an amazing job on my pedicure. This is a one chair salon in Salon Republic so you get undivided attention. Nancy does a great job of sanitizing before appointment. If you need stress relief call Nancy for an appointment at 512-671-0819. You won't be disappointed! read more

First, for the positives. The salon is conveniently located to my home in Northwest Austin. It is in a shopping center at 183 and Duval. The staff (Nancy the owner and Sharon) were very nice ladies, and we had a pleasant conversation while Nancy did my nails. Let me also preface this review by saying I do not getting mani/pedis regularly. I only get them done on special occasions. I had one done about a month ago at Aziz's Salon in the Arboretum with Samantha and then had one at Creative last week with Nancy. I had the exact same procedure done at both: regular pedicure and French manicure with shellac polish. The difference? Aziz charged $10 more. Aziz has a lovely salon so it feels like a spa; Creative is a small place with no frills. My nails looked great after my Aziz appointment; they also looked great after Creative (although two of my fingernails were not filed correctly - they were at a slant). The biggest difference is my cuticle bled at Creative, and my big toe was in a lot of pain after Nancy pulled at an ingrown part of it (I am on prenatal vitamins and apparently my nails are growing like crazy). It makes me wonder if Samantha at Aziz saw the same problems Nancy did at Creative but just ignored them, or if the pain I experienced at Nancy's hands was necessary. The reason I don't get regular mani/pedis is because sometimes I bleed, and why would I want to go back if that happens? Nancy asked how I was liking the mani/pedi, and I mentioned the blood in my fingernail (which made everything sting afterwards) and the pain in my big toe. She explained why those things hurt. But it would have been nice if she had mentioned that BEFORE she did them so I would have had the choice of letting her do what she thought was necessary or not. My other issue was the chair I sat in for the mani/pedis. It was extremely uncomfortable. There was not enough padding to sit in the same seat (she does the manicure and pedicure simultaneously) for over an hour. I had tried to make my appointment at Aziz but Samantha was booked. I gave Creative a chance based on the outstanding Yelp reviews (but why are most of them filtered?) and convenient location. But I think it is worth it to me to spend the extra $10 to not bleed or feel discomfort, and feel more relaxed in a more spa-like setting. read more

Service - Regular Pedicure Pros - nice girls, easy to communicate with and clean salon. convenient location. Good selection of OPI colors. Cons - $35 for a regular run of the mill pedicure, (usually its $25 everywhere else I have ever been) is overpriced in my opinion. it was average/good but nothing to merit the extra $10. I don't have any negative comments. read more

Went to go get my nails done with Nancy she is Awesome, it is conveniently located on research and Duval ( close to my home) so many color choices, will definitely go again!!! read more

No frills, but cute shop. If you are looking for a spa like atmosphere, this isn't the place for you. They have decent color selection, but you can tell some of the colors are old and need to be replaced. The location is convenient, in a strip center right off the 183 N feeder road. It's extremely easy to get to and there is ample parking. The decor is cute, it reminds me of a shop I frequented in the San Francisco Bay Area. I walked in for services, didn't make an appointment, and waited maybe 30 mins? Not bad, considering I was just walking in. Nancy is the owner and she did my services of an eyebrow wax and gel manicure. Nancy's prices are more than fair for the services I received today; I can't wait to come back for a pedicure! I paid $12 for a brow wax and $25 for the gel manicure which looks fantastic. read more

I recently booked a pedicure appointment with Nancy, the owner of the nail salon. She did an excellent job! I had a pedicure at an upscale salon in the Arboretum, and Nancy's deluxe pedicure was truly comparable at half the price! I am aware of and avoid nail salons that feel like nail sweatshops. Nancy is a keen businesswoman as salon owner and she does a great job too! Give her a call. $25 basic pedicure, $35 deluxe pedicure with paraffin read more

I have been going to Creative Hair and Nails for many years, but had been taking a break during the COVID outbreak. Finally, I couldn't wait any longer for a pedicure so I went in today. I think that, short of a cleanroom environment in a high tech facility, I couldn't have found a safer, more disinfected place. Nancy is wearing both a mask and a face shield. She disinfects everything before and after the visit. And it is clear that she just basically really CARES. She has limited her clientele to low-risk folks and only one client (masked) and Nancy are allowed in the room at one time. If you prefer a smaller, safer salon, I'd say to give Creative Hair and Nails a try. read more

I do not not agree with the review below written by Tiara below. I was the customer there at the time and had just began my appointment. I've seen customers of all colors there. Personally I appreciate her respecting my time as a customer since my appointment had just begun. I've been going to Creative Nails for a while now. Nancy Dinh is a very professional and accomplished nail technician. I've not gone anywhere else since I found her. It's a small shop and provides a quality ambience that is relaxing compared to those large nail salons. Her prices a good and she listens to you. I would highly recommend if you want to abandon the madness of the large nail salon and long waits call Nancy. She also picks out the best colors fro me when I'm not in the mood. read more

I used to live nearby , so I've been coming here for years and although the ownership has changed hands, it is the cleanest nail salon I've been to in Austin. The staff are very friendly and meticulous and the prices are very reasonable, so I after many disappointments at nail salons closer to my home, I regularly drive out to Creative Hair and Nails. Their pedicures are very thorough so you leave with pretty, pampered feet. Also, I just tried the new laquer nails (OPI soak-off gel) there today. I've had Shellac nail polish done at another salon and while I liked the results, I like the price and the look of this long-last manicure, much more. They also do hair cuts and colors here, as well. read more

This place doesn't exist. Don't go waste of a trip to be honest, I called and the place was a ghost town

Creative Hair and Nail is the best kept little secret in Northwest Austin. I have been coming to this salon for the last ten years. Recently, the salon was purchased by new owners and I was determined not to give them a chance to service my beauty needs. In a pinch one day, purely for convenience, I decided to give them a try. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised to see the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. Furthermore, the service I received from Nancy on my mani/pedi was outstanding, and my hair cut /color and style with Tracey was even better. I had been driving 30 miles each way to get my hair done regularly; now I drive two miles on my way from work and my hair/nails have never looked better. Their prices are beyond reasonable, they strive to please and they deserve a try! Alicia Bogart read more

Visited for the first time here to get my eyebrows waxed. Super quick and neat service!

Love this place! Eve always does a wonderful job on my hair. Also love the fact while your hair is processing you can get a mani and pedi at the same time. The nail techs are super sweet and make you feel right at home. Keep up the wonderful job ladies! read more

I love this place! I found this gem a few months ago and have been coming for regular shellac manicures. It lasts me 2-3 weeks before I have to go get it redone. I have to keep my nails looking professional for work and am glad I don't have to worry about chipping. I book all my appointments with Nancy and she is always very accommodating. They do great work at this place and I'm so happy I found it. Prices are amazing also. I pay $25 for my shellac manicure. read more

Phenomenal service! Nancy is exceptional. She took me without an appointment, she helped with a nail issue I didn't realize I had to help me avoid a future issue. She is pretty, kind, easy to talk with, and professional. Extremely clean and exceptional expertise. This is my new nail salon and brow waxing location. Thank you, Nancy. You made a raving fan today! read more

I went here for a pedicure on the spur of the moment. They were very accommodating and pleasant. I explained I had not had a pedicure in some time because I always mess up my nails playing sports. They suggested I try shellac on my toenails. Not inexpensive, compared to my favorite place in south Austin, but it will be worth it if the pedicure lasts. Nancy gave me her business card and invited me to send her a text message 10 or 15 minutes in advance of my typical "walk - in" appointments. I will go back again! read more

I have been coming to Creative Hair and Nails for years now. The salon is always comfortable and Nancy does the most amazing mani/pedis. I used to work close by which made it convenient, but its little out of the way now that I've switched jobs. I've tried other salons that are closer but I always, always, always go back to Nancy - I'll drive a little further for consistently great nails. :) I get so many compliments on my nails and have recommended Creative Hair and Nails to many of my friends who also love it. read more

I went here on Valentine's Day, and there wasn't a wait at all! Great customer service with tasty wine while I received the deluxe pedicure and manicure. Make sure you are specific with your service: Deluxe $60 and regular pedicure/manicure $35. I was very pleased with the service and will return again. Thank you so much Nancy, and thank your wonderful Mom, too. Enjoy the massage chair, music, wine, conversations, and hot wax!! read more

I thought this place was convenient as I had been there a long time ago but came away very unhappy. First, they advertise a pedicure at $25 but it is actually $35, a lot more than most places. Secondly, the amount charged to my credit card was changed by $5.00. Not a lot but still that constitutes fraudulent business practices. This is not a place that I would recommend or go to in the future. Dishonesty seems to be their policy. The $5 was refunded to me after I called and questioned this charge. That was not the point at all as they took it upon themselves to add a tip when I had actually given the individual a cash tip. read more

I have been going here for 3 years and love the excellent and professional job Nancy does on my nails and toes. She even removes my ingrown nails on my big toes with no pain. You actually receive more than your monies worth of services at Creative Hair and Nail. I would not even consider going anywhere else. Not even to those so called spa shops. read more

Enjoyed my first visit to Nancy yesterday. She is a doll: smart, sweet, and caring, and a wonderful technician. I appreciated the care she lavished on my feet and lower legs, and am grateful for her wisdom in discussing a health issue. She gave me a beautiful pedicure, neat and bright, at a wonderful price. I am happy to return soon. Nice little place, plenty of parking. read more

I was looking for a new hairstylist and asked a woman that I worked with who cut and colored her hair because it looked great! She recommended Tracy Tan and Creative Hair and Nails. I was a little skeptical at first, I'm used to high-end salons and high-end prices - but my goal was to find someone who could cut my thick, wavy hair well and also was an expert colorist. I'm very picky about my hair, as anyone who knows me will tell you! I've been going to Tracy for the past few months for cut and color and am thoroughly pleased with her abiliies and the outcomes! Yay, even though this salon is not fancy, it is clean, reasonably priced, and focuses on quality services and customer satisfaction. I'm going to try Nancy, the nail tech next! read more

I'm so glad I found Creative Hair & Nails. The owner Nancy is awesome! I came in a few days before my wedding and brought 2 of my bridesmaids. None of us had been there before but the place is located near my house, so I thought we'd check it out. We didn't have an appointment but Nancy was so accommodating an took us all - even though she was short staffed that day. We had mani/pedis which turned out so great! It was a relaxing and clean environment. Nancy really felt like a friend to us. She kept the conversation going the whole time and took great care of us. She even threw in some extras free of charge (plus she served us some wine!) By the way, my pedicure lasted almost 2 months!!! I don't often get mani/pedis but I will definitely be back soon! She is really a sweet girl and not rude or pushy at all - like some other nail salons I have been to. All in all, I had a great experience with Creative Hair and Nails, especially Nancy! read more
