My gel manicure was done in haste, it was thick, I was charged for a poorly executed design on my ring finger that looked like I did it myself. My manicure (which normally lasts 2 weeks) lasted less than one. Even after I asked if the sides would peel up I was told it would be fine. My gel pedicure was ok. Normally lasts 2+ months and is already peeling. Also done in haste. Seemed like they wanted to get me in and out. Seems like they are more interested in quantity of people (more money) than the quality of the manicure. After 5+ years of going here I will not be returning (and neither will my mother or grandmother). read more

Pros: no wait, OPI gel polish available Cons: gel didn't even last a week (and I've had gel last more than 3 weeks), sloppy manicure, cramped & cluttered shop This place was so cluttered and cramped that it was not particularly relaxing to visit. There was hardly space to walk around some of the booths and spa chairs; it seems like they tried to cram as many chairs as possible in the shop. There were random bottles of polish left at every station; it didn't seem like anyone put the bottles back on the rack for the next customer to chose from. The floor was dirty, there was dust everywhere, and the UV lights had polish smeared all over the inside. I went in for a gel manicure. I feel like I didn't really get the manicure part. The tech hardly worked on my nails at all. There was no pre-soak, no cuticle remover lotion, and she barely filed at all until after the gel had already cured. I've never had anyone file my nails AFTER curing the gel. The tech seemed to rush through my mani, though there weren't any other customers waiting. When I got home I still had sharp, uneven nails. The hand massage afterwards was cursory, and there was hardly enough paraffin wax in the warmer. There was only about an inch in the bottom of the warmer so I had to contort my hand and wrist to get a good coat. Verdict: I won't be back, and I would not recommend this place for a gel manicure. read more

There were 5 of us that walked in and they got us in right away. They were quite busy but really fast and not so efficient. About half of us received a superb job and half of us didn't care for it. I got the regular pedicure which was $30 and the lady did the service in about 15mins or under. My toe nails was not even cut or filed and color that I chose was probably very watered down cause she added three layers and it didn't even look smooth. Definitely not worth the price. It really depends on who you go to cause one of the girls I went in with got the same pedicure and hers took way longer and looked nicer. read more

I was reluctant to write this review, but I think it is important to share this experience so that others can make their choices based on others experiences. The pros: I was greeted and attended to as soon as I walked in - with no appointment Location is super convenient with ample parking in back The Cons Buyer beware - the "menu" prices aren't all what they seem to be. They nickel and dime you to death. Based on the menu, I was expecting my bill to be right around $65 for a fill and a pedicure - it was almost $100 AFTER a 20% discount. My pedicure alone was $65 and it looks like I did it myself! I am so unhappy less than a week after. I've had plenty of Spa pedicures in my life - and they are worth the extra money if you actually get what you are paying for. The entire spa pedicure was less than an hour - that included removing polish, a brief scrub of the feet and calves, a brief massage, a brief dip in parafin wax and then a sloppy gel polish job - I paid $65 for this. My gel fill is also sloppy and already lifting. Fortunately they are my own nails with the french gel overlay - but they also look horrible. The application is so thick they do not look natural - when I asked her to file them down, she had a poor attitude - so I just let it go. The gel is also lifting already. The girls were unfriendly and had a huge sense of entitlement as if they were doing me some kind of favor. Hate to break it to them - but as consumers, we are paying for this service so they are doing us no favors. Nevertheless, I tipped them what I thought was actually too much and certainly more than fair considering their attitudes and sloppy and borderline rude service - not to my surprise, the girl that did my nail fills made it very clear that she was not happy with the tip I left. I will not be returning to nails & Spa and I would highly encourage anyone who chooses to use them - make sure the price for the services you would like are very clear up front. Good luck! read more

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Terrible experience, do not waste your money!!! I was excited to treat my mom to a mani&pedi for Mother's Day, and we both had the worst experience! Our technicians were not friendly and they were both herding us through like cattle as fast as possible. Pedi's done in 30 min and mani's even a faster pace. So much so that my technician cut my cuticle and had to apply the toxic blood clotter chemical twice to get the bleeding to stop before she could finish the mani in less than a half hour, worst manicure ever, besides the cut cuticle, the other cuticles aren't even cleaned up, also the stations are in such a tight space, they pack in the manicure stations where you don't even have space to set your wallet, do not waste your $$$, never again! read more

Great deal for spa pedicure- $32.00 with coupon from website which included soak in massage chair, exfoliation, leg massage, sea salt rub, mud mask, hot towel treatment, and a hot paraffin wax dip before the color was put on! Very personable, made sure each toe was trimmed up and perfect and that I was happy with everything before putting me under the dryer. I normally come here because it is close to where I live but I have had some bad experiences here now and I am not sure if I want to return. Today I got a gel manicure and it was done so quickly and poorly. The overall paint job on my nails is horrible and looks like I did it myself. I have had several bad experiences here, I only kept going back since it's so close to my house. The service is not the best; I always make sure to have an appointment but every time I have had to wait. The last time I was there I waited 20-25 min (past my appointment time) and the entire experience felt rushed. I also wonder about the cleanliness of the salon, it doesn't have a clean feel to it. There was still dirt under my nails when I left. We were there an hour before their closing time and they rushed through both my girlfriend's and my manicures. I was very disappointed in the lack of attention to detail on my nails. I had never had a manicure done before and will not go back there. The staff was friendly, but clearly more concerned about leaving for the night rather than doing a good job on our hands. Like I said I had dirt under my fingernails still when we left and my girlfriends polish was messy and on to her cuticles. If you are going to go here make sure you go a couple hours before closing, and also make sure they explain the prices before starting because it cost about ten dollars more per person than what we originally told on the phone. read more

I have gone to this nail salon for probably 2 years. During the first year the work was incredible I asked for ombre nails and they turned out great! A couple months later I asked for ombre again, and I showed them a picture of what they had done before because I liked them so much and they said they could do it but their paint gun was broken, so they did it with a sponge instead and it turned out fine. When I asked for ombre on another visit after that I was told that the gun was broken and they did not have a sponge but I happened to have one in my purse. They obviously did not want to do that but they did it and it turned out awful when I went to show the manager she had a very snippy attitude about it and proceeded to fix them with the paint gun that was supposedly broken. I will never go back because the attitude was so bad and I had obviously been lied to about the paint gun. I paid their higher prices for years and very good gratuities. I now go to luxer nails in Maple Grove and they do fantastic work. read more

Yesterday a friend and I made reservations but the person who greeted us took at least 2 people, who came after us, first. We were seated but my pedi didn't start until at least 10 minutes after my friend's. Once the technician began, she was in such a hurry that she cut my nail and it began to bleed. She made no comment about it but continued to race through the process. After a very short and not relaxing session, we were charged much more than I had been in the past. I went here today to get a pedicure and get my eyebrows waxed. They did a great job doing my eyebrows, but they did a horrible job on my pedicure. The lady wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. She was constantly looking at other staff and having conversations with them and because of this she kept hurting me. On top of that when I went to pay I specifically told her I was a student under 21 and she still charged me full price for my pedicure and didn't give me the discount. When I pointed this out to her she was like oops and wouldn't give me my $5 back. I will never go there again. I have been getting my nails done artificially for 25 years. Recently my nail tech of 8 years left the salon I was going to. After trying a new salon in area I was left with a horrible new set of pink and white gel nails. So, I decided to try Nails & Spa for a new set. Had great experience with pedicures, but hadn't tried nails. My apt was for a full set of acrylic as I was gun shy about another set of gels. The nail tech, Kathy, coached me into the gels and I'm SOOO glad I listened to her. She was sweet, very gentle with the drill when sanding, asked me each step of the way if I liked them. And, after 1 day I can tell you as I'm typing this that this new set of pink and white gel nails are the best set of artificial nails I have ever had!! And, I'm picky! I wouldn't have changed a thing about the appointment. The atmosphere was great. I'm looking forward to being a new customer. First of all, they give a good service. They gave me a nice leg massage and went through all the stops. They have NO communication skills! I was there with a group for a wedding, so we got a 20% group discount. I also had a coupon from their website which was another 20% off. It says in nice big letters at the top- "Discount MAY be combined with the group discount." SWEET! I showed them a picture of what I wanted- french tips with some pink sparkly nail polish. I said "I want exactly this, just without the bow on the ring finger". The receptionist said she had the perfect polish (which she really did!) and she told me to tell the person doing my nails to put it underneath the gel. I showed the technician the picture and told her to do the polish underneath the gel. She seemed to understand and started painting the sparkles on my nail. I was a little confused- I thought they normally used the dremel to file your nails down first, but I assumed they knew what they were doing. A few minutes later she is painting white tips on my nails. I ask her, "are you going to put the tips on?" And she says "no you asked for a manicure". Uh no I didn't. I showed you exactly what I wanted. "You will like this better. Gel polish lasts longer, you have strong nails." And she walked away! She started on my pedicure, and I'm sitting there mad, and she asks me what I want on my toes and I say "Exactly like my nails." Then she dind't put sparkles on my toes! She just did a regular french tip, with gel. Why would I pay more for gel nails when the polish is CLEAR!?!? She didn't ask if I liked it, if I wanted a flower- nothing. I finally lean down and say "you know what, I really would like a full set." She doesn't even respond, just turns to the girl next to her and starts speaking in her language. I can hear them laughing and I can tell by their tone that they are talking bad about me. "I have to ask the manager" she says to me. Ya that would be great! The manager comes over and says she can do it. She did my nails at record speed, cut my skin at least 4 times, flat spots all over the nails. Whatever, I finally have what I asked for. I go to checkout and give her the coupon, she takes it and gets out a calculator, and gives me the total "$108". FOR A PEDICURE AND MANICURE?!?! AND THAT'S 40% OFF? "Is that with the group discount as well?" "We don't combine discounts". I show her the coupon where it says in big letters at the top that it can be combined. The manager chimes in "we only do one or the other" and reads the fine print where it says the offer cannot be combined with other discounts. "It says in big letters right there". "Well we can't do it." That's nice. You gave me crappy service, and now you have to get your calculator out to figure out my total down to the penny? Give me an extra discount for causing me to stay here for an extra hour when I'm trying to get ready for a wedding! But no, the girl ringing me up is talking on the phone, no one says thank you, and I just turned around and walked out! NO TIP FOR YOU! I shouldn't have paid at all. GOOD GRIEF! read more
