I've been to this nail salon before and have always had good experiences, which is why today's…read morevisit was especially disappointing. The service felt very rushed, and the quality of the work didn't match what I've received in the past. I got a full acrylic set, and the technician was extremely rough and aggressive during the process. The final result looks sloppy and not at all like what I asked for. For our pedicures, no callus work was done, which was actually the main reason we came in. I'm really hoping this was just an off day because I've had better service here before, but unfortunately this visit did not meet expectations.

It was packed, but they had quite a few staff members working. 2 of us sat together and unfortunately our other friend was right across from us, but all our nails turned out amazing! I usually only do basic dip nails on my real nail, but I decided to show a picture from Pinterest of a design I liked and get acrylic nails with a design. She replicated it perfectly! I am so happy with them! Everyone was also very kind and friendly. I would recommend!

I've been going here for a few months and the service is SO INCONSISTENT…read more Had Lee a few weeks ago and my nails were amazing. Went in before a trip a few days ago and the lady working on my nails couldn't have cared less. Rough with my hand positioning, completely missing the side edge on every nail AND got mad because the lamp wasn't curing the polish. She had to re do some nails and as I'm leaving says "It SHOULD be dry, but come back if not.". Why wouldn't you just do it right to begin with?? I'm now three days out and got the lovely surprise that my nails in fact didn't cure under the top layer of gel when they started to lift. I now have to find a random salon to just get this off my nails. There's some amazing staff here but it's becoming roulette if you book an appointment without picking someone specifically.

The store is clean, a good temp, and has different music playing each time (I hate places that only play one playlist!). I've had both a mani and pedi there. The staff were so nice!! I'd been going to another salon for years previous to my visit here. Historically my gel manis would last me about 2 weeks. Not longer, ever. Since going to pro nails, my manis have lasted 3+ weeks without a single chip, break or issue. I'm majorly impressed! They do specialize in dip nails which might have to do with them lasting longer. This salon doesn't make me feel like we are cattle that just need to be shuffled in and out as quick as we can. One thing to note is you can't tip on card so you need cash, but you *might* be able to ask if they will let you Venmo the tip.

I really wanted to give this new salon a chance, but unfortunately this was one of the worst nail…read moreexperiences I've had. When I called to make my appointment, I was VERY specific about what I wanted: long, sharply pointed stiletto nails. I know this is a more difficult shape to do well, which is exactly why I asked BEFORE booking whether they had someone who could do them. I was told, "Yep, no problem." Based on that, I booked my appointment for 3:00. I actually arrived early hoping they might be able to get me in sooner. They couldn't, which was completely fine--I waited for my scheduled appointment. I also showed the technician a picture of exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, what I received looked absolutely nothing like the photo or the long, pointed stiletto shape I had specifically asked about when booking. There was essentially no shape to them. They looked like Chiclets sitting on my nails, not long, sharp stilettos. The application was also extremely rough. While filing, the technician caught my nail several times and hurt me badly enough that I physically pulled my hand away three separate times. One of my natural nails is now peeled back and damaged from how aggressively it was filed and caught. At that point I should have gotten up and walked out, but because this is a new salon, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and let her finish. As soon as I left, I tried calling the salon because I was so unhappy and wanted to discuss getting my money back. Nobody answered, so I left a voicemail. After being hurt multiple times during the service, I absolutely did not feel comfortable going back and having the same technician touch my hands again. Instead, I literally drove straight from this salon to another nail salon and had the entire brand-new set soaked off immediately. They were that bad. What is especially frustrating is that I specifically asked BEFORE making the appointment whether they could do this particular shape because I know not every nail technician can. If they had simply told me they weren't comfortable doing long, pointed stilettos, I would have completely understood and booked somewhere else. The entire experience gave me the impression that the priority was volume over quality. I paid for a set I couldn't even leave on my hands, immediately had to pay another salon to remove it, and was left with damage to my natural nail in the process. I tried to handle this directly with the business before posting a review, but I couldn't get anyone on the phone and left a voicemail. Unfortunately, based on the quality of the work, the painful service, and the fact that I specifically confirmed beforehand that they could provide what I was requesting, I cannot recommend this salon and I will not be returning.

I have been going to Southtown for many years and normally my experience has been good with Mai and…read morethat is why I came for so many years. Lately there have been instances where she seems to never take accountability and likes to blame things on me. This past Sunday I came in for a fill & pedicure and the experience was good. Then when I got home I noticed and significant discoloration on my fingers and toe nails so I texted her and she said to come in. She added more top coat to try and fix it which didn't work so she proceeded to tell me if I don't like it then I will have to pick a new color. It's not the fact that I didn't "like it" it's the fact that I didn't get what I paid for. She removed the polish on my fingernails and repainted them. Normally Mai is friendly but she was very quiet and cold during this time. We then moved to the pedicure chair to change the polish on my toes and still she was quiet and cold. When she started to paint them she said that that was nothing wrong with my toes but she will fix it cause I "dont like it" even tho they were discolored. She started to gaslight me to make it seem like I was the problem and because of the white marks on my nails. The new polish didn't have any discoloration so what she claimed was false. I told her I didn't really want to waste my time to come back to get my nails fixed and then I started to cry. She was silent for the rest of the time while I cried in the chair till she finished my nails. Not once did I get an apology for having to come back to fix my nails and being gaslighted is unacceptable. Also while I was clearly upset and crying the new owner just watched from the chair nearby and then decided to take a nap so she clearly doesn't care about how customers are treated.
