Went for a deluxe pedicure with my mom. The place was cramped but they had ample supplies. The ladies were kind, but not the nicest. The nail polish color selection was extremely poor and many of the polishes were half dried or molding. They spa didn't have professional equipment besides the pedicure chairs, and used store bought items. The lady did not paint my nails well and did a sloppy job, but the foot massage was quite nice. The initial nail cleaning and filing was extremely painful and laborious! (My toes were paining greatly) and the nail shapes were uneven. But they did do a good job cleaning the nails. Nevertheless, the overall end product was pretty nice. Service was alright. Not good, not bad. Nails 2000 definitely is not the best salon in town, but it's better than other nearby salons. read more

I have never had a worse experience at a nail salon. I used to come here all the time, I think they had an ownership change as pre-pandemic I've always had great service. I came here recently with an appointment. The nail tech doing my pedi keeps wiping her tools directly on my feet, NOT a towel, which was really grossing me out. Then she rinsed off my feet in the basin, and rinsed her tools in the basin. Then she continued the pedi and cut me pretty deeply. I've had cuticles cut too much before but I have NEVER bled this much, she cut me pretty bad, blood was running down my toe. She wiped it and brushed on some ointment to stop bleeding and told me it was because she fixed an ingrown nail and I'm bleeding because of my nail. I wanted a pedicure not surgery, but then she rinsed off my bleeding foot in the dirty tub water and I already regretted coming here by then, but when she tried painting over the area I was still bleeding from was when enough was enough. I just said I need to leave before she finished or did more damage and they charged me full price after all that mess. Not returning. Wouldn't recommend. read more

My friend and I came here bc they took both of us in last min. The smell was absolutely horrible but got used to it after a while. The ladies were really friendly and the prices were so great. The equipment wasn't that nice tho and the tv show that was playing was utterly cringeworthy. I hope it'll be turned to something more enjoyable in the future. THEY ARE SO METICULOUS HERE. Don't expect a quick in and out mani/pedi, they really take their time and make sure they do quality gentle work. The prices and the quality of the work is the best I've found in the Cupertino/Sunnyvale area. A gel chrome mani and regular pedi was $60 total (not including tip yet). It took a little more than 2 hours for me to get this done cuz only one manicurist was doing both the mani/pedi. I still prefer Pinky Nails in Union City over this place cuz the work is faster, same price and same quality (if not better), but if I'm in this area, I'll definitely come here! read more

Very nice little shop that does a great job at a reasonable price. Especially if you go midday on a weekday, it is not hard to walk in and get a great manicure / spa pedicure without an appointment. The prices are quite reasonable too. Highly recommend this shop with great customer service. They are too trigger happy with using their nail grinder here. My nails have become paper thin due to gel polish and have been rehabilitating my nails with regular polish, but I decided to get an acrylic full set ahead of a weekend event. I asked they they not grind my nails, and first they got upset with me for asking and out of spite, did a really shoddy job of removing my previous regular polish. There was still leftover polish under my nails. I then asked if they could clean it for me, and they pulled out the nail grinder and ground the underside of my nail to get the polish off. They are understaffed, I understand, but if the work was going to be rushed and corners are going to be cut, I'd rather they have turned me down so I can take my business elsewhere. I was in and out of pedicure in barely 25 mins. The lady seemed to be in rush. Barely dipped My feet is warm water (i asked her to make it hotter) Quickly cleaned the cuticles, gave me a minute of half hearted scrub clean up on each foot and a minute each of half hearted massage on each leg. Mai and the other technicians are **AMAZINGLY TALENTED** and so so sweet. I've never left Nails 2000 unhappy, never been overcharged, never waited forever even when I walk in without an appointment. These gals are perfectionists and they really care whether you like your nails. Mai has personally done several free repairs if I break my acrylic nail or mess up the paint after getting them done with her +++ she's always willing to try my most outlandish nail art ideas and is so sweet even when I change my mind a few times about colors/designs. She literally PAINTED TINY ARABIC WORDS ON MY NAILS for my last design. AND one time I was getting my nails done and I forgot I had a conference call, so mid-manicure she helped me gather my things to take the call outside and resumed right when I was done!!! Really frustrating experience. I called right before asking if I could get a quick gel nail removal and she said not to come then but to come in half an hour. I arrived on the dot at 7 pm to a full salon (keep in mind their business hours close at 7) and every technician was busy. She asked me to wait and I waited for 15 minutes and it still seemed like no one would be free soon. One technician still had nail art to do on a manicure and two others were halfway through a pedicure. I had to be back home by 7:30 so I decided waiting 10-15 minutes more wasn't worth it and left. I don't understand why this place couldn't have been more efficient on time, seeing so that I called at 6:30 pm and they should have been able to tell if they would be free or not. We came in for two gel manicures after calling the same day to make an appointment and there was pretty much no wait. My mother and I both loved the results of our manicures. Any imperfections were immediately fixed, and our manicurists paid a lot of attention on to detail. I am finally done with this place. 1. Every time I've made an appointment, ive had to wait because they are still working on other clients. I don't mind waiting a few minutes but I've noticed that when we start late, Mai has to rush because she's got other appointments after me. 2. Rushing. The last time I came I had a gel mani and Mai was definitely rushing :( she would continue to put on 2nd layer of polish before the first layer finished curing. I knew this was going to cause trouble. Sure enough, within 2 days the polish started to chip and look horrible. Today I decided to get acrylic and was very disappointed. Thumbs and middle fingers look so crooked. Some parts of the nail look thicker while the tip is thinner. Today was my 6th or 7th time here, and last. I recently moved from East Side SJ and figured I should look up a new nail place. Unfortunately, experience here wasn't up to par when compared to the reviews, but that was partially due to being understaffed on a holiday. I arrived at 10:45am & they weren't open yet (they typically open at 10:15am). It may have a been a delay because of the crazy weather, so I dismissed it. The owner and manicurist got there at 10:50am. Mai, the owner, apologized for the delay. I came as a walk in and there were two ladies who had an appointment. Mai said it may take 40 mins to get to me. Bleh, okay. I didn't want to drive to another place in the rain, so I figured I'd stay. Once she started working on my nails, I showed her a picture of what I wanted. Oval shaped acrylic nails, pale pink. Throughout my service she was on the phone at least 50% of the time (answering calls, booking appointments, calling for back up), and unfortunately the shape ended up being what I wanted. She had asked me when she was shaping the first nail (which was more rounded) but as she continued on, they were more almond shaped. I'm VERY particular about how my nails are done. They are also not all the same length... If I'm going to spend 2 hours and $45, I expect the service to reflect what I asked for. Mai is very sweet and I'm sure they do a great job when they're not rushed. They just seemed very flustered and couldn't keep up with how many people they said yes to. I was finally out of there at 12:45pm, feeling indifferent. If I were to splurge on acrylics, I'd probably drive out of my way to go to Top Coat Nail Bar in ESSJ. read more

I'm usually really picky with how I like my nails to be done. I'm kind of a perfectionist. I usually have my mom do it but since she's 4 hours away now I can say this is now my go to place when I want to get my nails done. I always get shellac nails because getting acrylic ruins your nails and shellac isn't that bad unless you peel it off yourself (Don't do that!!). I believe Mai is the owner and she has been doing my nails everytime I went and she's awesome. She doesn't cut me and make me bleed. She's very careful. She seems like a sweet lady. They don't really talk much to you or maybe it's just me hahaha. Go here if you want your nails looking fresh and clean haha. Definitely will recommend to people. read more
