Pro: Excellent pricing at $40 for a basic pedicure (plus $10 for gel removal) that includes a hot stone massage. Con: The technician was highly dismissive and unsafe. I explicitly told her three times not to cut/pull the skin on the corner of my toes because it hurt. She ignored me all three times, continued her work, and caused both of my toes to bleed. Sprayed it with alcohol and laughed when it burned because she thought it was obvious why it would burn. Her lack of concern and failure to respect clear customer instructions was unacceptable. I do not recommend service where customer requests are actively ignored. read more

My wife is a teacher in Cupertino and today after finishing up her classroom before picking up our son from daycare she treated me to a pedicure that my gross disgusting man definitely needed. We've never been to De Anza nails before and at first glance, it looked kind of small and I wasn't sure that it was gonna be great. Boy was I wrong! The spot is relaxing. The staff is super friendly and they just went the extra mile for me. I have incredibly gross man feet and the technician made them look pristine like a baby's butt. This is the fourth time I came for pedicures. First time was ok, second time I wrote a not so bad review on Yelp, the third time I was able to get 10% off based on the Yelp review. The service was good each time, the lady focused on getting it done step by step. They are usually quiet over Sunday afternoon and I was able to enjoy my peaceful screen time. There's a text message sent to me offering returning visits with a 10% discount. I came the 4th time, same Vietnamese lady but this time it was not good. My cuticles felt hurt after she trimmed it, then she sprayed some liquids in it as part of their SOP and it hurt more. I made a sound but it didn't quite get her attention. The pain lasted over a day and I couldn't help it but posted here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst pedicure experience of my life. They do not care about you, they were extremely unhygienic and did not clean in between me and another client. The nail polish was just thrown on sloppy and I was left bleeding on my right foot that I do not even want to show, they didn't acknowledge me when I told them that they ruined the nail and they just asked "what should I fix it?" Tell me based on the photo that this is ok? There was a man walking around in the background intensely staring he looked like the owner. Whenever I get An, I always leave extremely satisfied, but today I got a nail tech that I haven't had before and she was very inexperienced, sloppy and far slower than I've come to expect. After flooding my cuticles on 4 out of 10 nails and going back to try to rectify it, nicking my skin with the drill, several times, I asked for An to finish the mani. It took a total of an hour and a half for a gel fill. Im not sure if I'll be back. Today's mani was far from the quality I've come to expect. read more

Came to this salon to celebrate my mom's birthday with my mom and sister. We called ahead of time To see if they could take us and to inquire about how long the wait will be. The guy said to come In 30 minutes (around 11:30am). We arrived at 11:30 and waited about 15 minutes which wasn't bad! My sister and I got a gel pedicure and my mom got gel mani. The service was nice. The guy I spoke To on the phone recognized us right away! And offered for us to sit in the pedicure massage chairs while we wait (the massage chairs felt nice). I had Thuy do my gel pedicure and she did an awesome job. She cleaned and cut my Toe nails first and then soaked my feet. She did some cuticle cleaning and boughing afterwards and Then scrubbed my legs and feet followed by a wonderful leg/foot massage! She also did the hot Stone massage and then painted my Nails. Overall, the staff was efficient and seemed friendly. I had no issues thus far and was grateful they were able to see us 3 on such short notice. I would come to this salon again. read more

Wow! This place was taken under new ownership a little under year ago so I decided to try it out. The inside was very clean and organized. Lots of color options! I went on a Sunday afternoon and they were able to take me right away. (No waiting!) Marybelle was such a delight. I originally chose a color that I thought I would like but she checked with me prior because it looked different (lighter). She recommended a better color which I loved! Absolutely wonderful, will come again! They were very meticulous and paid attention to detail, making very thin, straight lines. They did a great job of helping me choose the right colors (a few of the other nearby salons, expect you to very quickly get the colors yourself, which can be stressful). This place has gone downhill since the new owners took over. I hadn't had my nails done in a few years because I had 2 babies back to back in less than 2 years so getting my nails done was the last thing on my mind. When I finally decided it was time for some self care I called to make an appointment with Mary who I now know as "Mary #1" and it seemed as though the lady who answered the phone was purposely trying to confuse me in what I believe was an attempt to set me up with her (the owner's sister) who also conveniently goes by the name Mary. It was incredibly frustrating so I contacted Mary directly to make an appointment. I called again recently to make an appointment with Mary #1 and again the lady on the phone was trying to confuse me. In case you're wondering why I didn't call Mary #1 directly, prior to taking a break from getting my nails done I've been getting my nails done by Mary #1 since I was in my early 20s. I'm 42 now, so out of habit I called the salon because I've always called the salon first. Mary #1 almost always answers the phone and if she didn't whoever answered never had a problem making me an appointment with her. I called Mary #1 directly and low and behold after 25 years of working here she left. I followed Mary to Hollywood Nails on Bascom in San Jose.
