An ATM is available. Don't come for a fancy experience but for friendly and thorough services. The owner is very friendly and attentive, checking in on you throughout your time. The ladies who worked on me are probably the best I've encountered in the Bay Area. Gentle but meticulously thorough with the process of mani/pedi. One time wonder.... I wonder why I ever came. Was sat down and the pink I chose was not for me. Chose a hot green... The polish was streaky. She wasn't doing my full nail .... I didn't understand, so I let her know. She didn't even sanitize her tools,just wiped them with her towel. Didn't approve. As soon as I chose French instead of color it didn't get any better. It was rushed, smudged & the white polish was gloopy, lines uneven... Bubbles and I don't think they know what quality is. She did attempt a flower but it looked like a bunch of messy dots. Pedi $5 extra for design. $5 extra for them to scrub the soles of feet (doesn't that normally come with a pedi?) Then I noticed after my pedi they didn't clean the foot rub after me and before the next person. They drained the water and that's it. I hope we don't get some nasty infection. The girl who was doing my nails was nice enough but kept whispering to me that the other people there don't like her and next time I come back to ask for her. I won't go back. I was in the area for my monthly float, and USA Nails was conveniently right around the corner from Float Realm. I set up an appointment for noon, and I appreciated how my time was honored. A nail technician was ready to go as soon as I arrived. I found that all the staff members were very nice, and they each greeted me. My nail technician put a plastic cover in the foot tub, which was a good sign the place had clean best practices. My technician did a good job of cutting my cuticles and putting on the polish. Best of all, she gave me an amazing foot massage! I think she knew reflexology, because it seemed like she had some techniques up her sleeve. USA Nails is small and the chairs were a little dated, but I did see signs mentioning that the nail salon was going to be closed a week in January for renovation. read more

I have been going to Anna for 12 years now to get my nails done. I started off going (to her Almaden location) when I was 9 with my mom and don't worry I was not one of those children getting french nails put on, but yes I did get some color (with glitter). :] Anyways, the reason I have continued to go to Anna's salon, even when she moved locations, was because she makes sure that you get the best treatment possible for the prices she asks...which I must say are awesome: $7 for a child to get their nails cleaned, clipped, and painted $25 special M-W pedi and mani $30 pedi and mani R-Sun and various waxing and massage treatments... Back to the client treatment...Anna and her brother make sure that USA Nails is staffed with the nicest, hardest workers, is super clean, has space for you and three friends to get a mani/pedi at once, and finally makes sure that you are happy during whatever treat you choose for yourself. There are some negative comments I see below and mainly they have to do with being rushed. I am sorry that you feel this way and I'm also sorry that I cannot change your mind, but I must ask that you do. Anna and her staff work very hard to keep their business up and running and continuously updated to provide services that people enjoy. Their massage chairs may not have been made in 2013, but damn, that rolling back button rubs all the knots out of my back each time and yesterday I even fell asleep in the chair. Also, everyone says there's nothing special but thats because YOU DIDNT TRY TO SEE IF THERE WAS. I'm only writing this review because I think there's a lot of unfair stuff being said about this business that needs to be cleared up. I don't particularly need to compete with many more people for an appointment but the people who work there are too nice to be disrespected this way. SO... This is a GREAT place to get your nails done - but you have to go in knowing what's up. I've been getting my nails done here for 9 years now, since I was a freshman in HS, and every time I try to go somewhere else I always come back to USA. First of all, Lisa, Danny, and Anna are all amazing. I always see Lisa because she's an absolute perfectionist and one of the sweetest people alive. I take forever to choose what color I want and they're so patient and kind and always let me try on as many colors as I want until I decide. I'm also super picky with the shape and with my cuticles so I'm always checking to see how they're doing and if I don't like something they fix it immediately. Secondly, the place is not dirty. The salon is small, sure, but in 9 years I've been cut only once and I've never EVER had a problem in terms of anything making me sick or giving me an infection. I've seen them sanitize their tools and scrub the foot basins. Third, they're not rude or racist. I'm sure it can be confusing for some people, but there's a understandably large culture gap between Vietnamese people and typical American people. I'm American and I've always paid in the middle of the store, or from my seat, and once even the next day when I forgot my wallet. Seriously, they're just nice. They insist on helping me grab all my stuff and put my shoes on every time, even when I get a gel and my nails are dry. That being said, for full disclosure, there is one woman there whom I won't see because she does rush her work and is a bit abrasive, but I don't know her name. She wears lots of rhinestone studded clothing though, so there's that. Lastly, there are a lot of people here complaining about everything being $5 more. Guys, really? The salon is super inexpensive to begin with and rent in Saratoga is INSANE. It's a $5 upcharge for EXTRA services that you can CHOOSE to get or not. You have the option to upgrade your mani pedi in other salons too, but those are "combo" deals. Basically USA nails luxury services are a la carte. If you don't want it say no - they've never charged me without telling me and never get mad if I don't want something. In conclusion, approach this experience knowing that you're getting a service from honestly good people who grew up in a different place from you and are working hard to make a good life for themselves and their families. They're talented and clean and will be happy to get to know you and do everything they can to make sure you're happy with your service so long as you speak up and say what you want. I've had much more expensive mani pedis that didn't look half as good or last half as long as these ones do. read more

I had pretty much the same experience as Stephanie L. I was embarrassed that I brought my friend there today too because she got completely ripped off by these scam artists. Everything Stephanie said was true for us also, so I won't have to repeat it. The quality of the service was completely poor, we were rushed (as were the ladies they practically threw out to seat us), and they kept trying to upsell us at every opportunity. The WORST part of the experience is that I was reading a magazine during my manicure and the woman started giving me a french manicure without asking me first. I asked her why she was doing that, and she said it was "prettier". I asked if she was going to charge me for that, and she said "yeah, but only 5 more dollars". I was completely furious with her for her sneaky behavior. I hope it was worth the bad Yelp review to gamble on scamming me out of five more dollars by tricking me into a French manicure when I wasn't watching her. I closed my magazine and made sure to pay attention as she hastily wiped away the white nail polish and slapped on two quick coats of the color I initially picked out. I'm shocked that this nail salon has 4 stars on Yelp! My girlfriends and I were at Mountain Winery on a Sunday and had a spur of the moment decision to get our nails done. We looked up nearby nail salons on Yelp and found out that many salons are closed on Sunday. Since USA Nails is closeby and has 4 stars, we decided to check it out. I called and got an appointment for the 4 of us rightaway. We didn't have to wait, the ladies there were eager to work on our nails the moment we got there. Unfortunately, that's when it started going downhill. The whole experience felt very rushed! It was obvious they just wanted to get us out after taking our money. The ladies were aggressive about selling the additional services (callus removal, foot scrub/mask/stone massage). We got really irritated. It was $20 for pedicure but really that's very basic (just nail polish removal, nail clipping and nail polish application). If you're looking for a full on pedicure, it really is $30. I wouldn't mind paying more for a good job. But this was horrible! My nails were not clipped well (shape is off) and the scrubbing/mask was so haphazard. And needless to say, my nails didn't last more than 2 days. It's now looking bad, and just a week after I've done my nails at USA Nails, I have to get it done again. Stay away, this is probably one of the worst nail salons I've been to in the bay area. I might be biased since I've been going to Anna for the last 14-16 years of my life, but she does a great job running things so there's no-minimum wait, it is super clean, and there are tons of options. (If you become a regular, they will even set up your own box of tools so only your nails use those clippers/files/etc.) I have gotten a pedi, mani, and waxing done (armpits and eye brows) and know people who get the fancier nails (French, Gel, Tips). He notices things that I don't and I am one picky gal :-) He always suggests cute flower designs on my nails and knows just what I like. These guys definitely value return customers - they will seat you immediately, give you great treatment if they recognize you. Just something to consider. They always ask me about small details in my life that I mentioned in previous visits. Overall good quality, good price - toe polish always lasts for weeks, Danny is great with gel nails and regular manicures. Found this place on a stormy holiday weekend. Every place in the area was closed so I had my husband do a Google search to find a place that was open while I was driving home from my mom's. He told me USA Nails was open and conveniently located just five miles away from my house, I drive myself over to get a mani/pedi. A combo mani/pedi is just $25 Mon-Wed and $30 Thurs-Sun. USA Nails offers massage chairs which is always a plus and their staff is very friendly. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Danny and his staff of three gals, all of which were very nice. So how was their work? They do a great job. This is my regular spot now and I totally recommend it. They say if a place is crowded that's a good sign. I usually don't make appointments b/c I just never know when I want to go pamper myself but when I do walk in they are able to accommodate me within 5-10 minutes. No. Noooo. Let's just say good things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't good. Got a manicure at this place, and the woman who did my nails left them super sharp with jagged edges. It was the most unpleasant feeling EVER. Also I had a gel manicure that they charge $5 to take off, and she literally just started to rip the polish off. No special liquid or acetone or whatever, just straight peeling off my nails, which is probably in the top 3 of unpleasant feelings. I don't know if there's a sign saying it, but they told us at the end that it was cash only. No one had cash, so I had to dig through my purse and fetch my debit card with my freshly done nails and walk to Wells Fargo to get out cash. However, they were really nice about fixing them so I went back when it was time for fills again (everyone has an off day...i hoped)...same thing happened again, but this time they broke in a week! Danny was nice but the shop's services were not great. They were really nice to my daughters until they learned it was the little one's birthday (then became over aggressively "nice"... to where my kids felt uncomfortable). They wanted to do her nails their way and not how she wanted..I was paying for her mani/pedi but they switched out her mani color and pretty much forced diamond/flower toes on her. I'm sure they thought that they were being nice but she was sad and I had to fix it when I got home. She said she never wanted to go back there ...I was so sad this was her b-day experience :( Also, if you take your kids her for a fun treat they basically trim nails and slap paint on but charge you full price for mani/pedi (seriously?). Called on very short notice on a Sunday. They stay open until 7 which is great.
