I purchased six massages as gifts for various people Two came as a couple and received their massages together and they loved it. Another received the heavy massage and praised it highly, another received the medium and was entirely satisfied. I think this is the perfect gift. The owner, Tracy, is accommodating and very friendly. The salon is sparkling clean and attractively appointed. I recommend having an appointment, whether for massage or purchasing a gift. Wanting a massage close to home, Sunflower Spa had some good reviews and deservedly so. Although I reserved a 60 minute deep tissue couple's massage, only one of us received the deep tissue, but it turned out ok. While my partner received the deep tissue massage from Nancy, I received the Swedish massage, which felt like deep tissue, from Tracy. Both massages were well received. When I think back, I would have had difficulty with a deep tissue, but really enjoyed the Swedish. Throughout the massage, Tracy checked in with me several times in regards to the pressure. Moreover, Tracy said she usually reserves deep tissue for men and not the women. While this business no longer handles nail care or facials, I highly recommend this place for massages. read more

Went for a deep tissue massage, worst massage I've ever had. I've had hundreds of massages in my life, of all types but this was the worst. I genuinely question if this person has had any training. It was the most violent and painful experience I've ever had. Next day I'm bruised, sore and in pain. I've had knee surgery's so I wasn't happy about not being told the room was up a steep set of stairs. There was ZERO communication about what I wanted or questions about what to avoid, my health etc. The woman didn't seem to speak much English and didn't appear interested in my comfort. She was aggressively twisting my body and legs and I was genuinely concerned about my knees dislocating as this is a genetic disorder I have. Again, no one asked and didn't understand or care when I tried to explain. Probably the most annoying part was during the massage she was answering her cellphone, sending messages and literally put the phone down on me. It buzzed and beeped the whole time. When it was over she asked me if I wanted some water but never got because she was busy texting in the hallway. The woman at the front had a sewing machine on the front desk and was mending something as I left. I found nothing about this experience relating or beneficial. The aesthetician was good and thorough at her job, however the last week's appointment was booked by me personally and the same person did not do a good job. She left a lot of patches of hair here and there and left me completely disappointed. Wonderful experience, I had a appointment for Tracy booking a 60 min massage. The location is in down town Saratoga, the facility is clean welcoming. Tracy is a very experienced technician, I have had tightness in my lower back for about a year and two other masseuse have not been able to relieve the tension. She went over pressure, what I needed and how best to suit my experience. I asked for deep and I got exactly what I asked for, she checked in with me a few times to make sure I was okay or if I needed any adjustments to pressure but i didn't need to make any. I had a headache and was looking for relief. I told the therapist to let up. She was using a hot rock over my spine. I was told "it hurts now but will feel better later. My headache improved but three days later I can still barely touch the top of my spine it is so tender and it is bruised. If you go, insist you are listened to. I used to go to this massage salon in downtown Saratoga before covid while it still was Royal Thai Massage. My mom came to visit after a very stressful event that is still happening to us and causes us lots of misery I decided to treat her and myself with massage and take some stress off at least our bodies. Since I knew this place and I love donwtown Saratoga I went to this salon and discovered that it is now Sunflower Spa, but that was not crucial for me. Our first massage was amazing! $80 for 1 hour seemed very reasonable and the quality was very very good. My mom has issues with her joints and she told me that she instantly felt better. I was very satisfied too. Second time my mom went alone and was happy to. Today we went for the third time. Massage was good, but the checkout ruined all the good impressions I had about this place. First of all I was charged $190 instead of $160 for two massages, second - the owner (I suppose) told me that the tip I intended to leave was too small and I should leave $20 each masseuse otherwise it's too hard for her to find good people to work there. The communication left me with a feeling that I was fooled and taken advantage of. I don't think I'll ever get back to that place. Sorry, guys, you could have had a loyal client for years, but now you have a bad review on yelp and no client. read more

Worst place and massage ever! Here is why: I arrived to my appointment and spa was closed ( door locked), I called- got voicemail full. I thought I confused dates, started walking away, heard door unlocking. I walk inside- place looks like industrial warehouse- ugly, gray linoleum like floor, no lavender scent, no cozy sofas, no lemon water, no flowers, no dim light just ugly empty space. An Asian woman gestures for me to walk further, then pointing my feet, then removing her shoes off and pointing to mine. I figured she doesn't speak English and she wants me to take my shoes off. I hesitate to proceed but I do. The rest of spa looks like warehouse as well and there is no other soul there- no employees, no customers. The woman leads me to a room, I ask for water, she leaves without a word. I am unsure what to do. Room has overwhelming chemical odor of Johnson room spray. I want to leave but stay against my better judgment. The woman comes back with water and points to the table. I get on the table. The moment she begins I know she doesn't have the slightest idea about massage. She is pounding on me with fast , chaotic, disorganized movements jumping between body parts ( never touches my lower back or feet). Without warning she jumps on my buttocks and hamstrings which was both gross and worrisome. When she started pounding on my forehead I had enough and put stop on the whole operation. I am shocked that such strange and creepy place with terrible service operates downtown Saratoga. I actually feel a bit sorry for this woman and even wonder where she is there willingly. read more

Me and my husband went here for couples massage, my husband said he had great experience, while my therapist did such a poor job. I told her where I was hurting she never did any proper massage to that area, I left the place with still my neck strained. She was hardly applying any pressure, the shocking part was I believe she was attending messages, her phone was constantly vibrating with messages, and I do know she was replying as one of her hands was off and other hand was just on my legs. I wish I had stopped the massage. While my husband's therapist walked on his back, mine did nothing. I felt like mine was just applying cream for most of the second part. I complained to the lady at cashier desk, she was trying to give all kind of excuses. She still charged full for me. I don't worry about the money. But I don't think people who does such a poor quality work or on their phones during massage should be rewarded. I am not going to return here. People should feel calm and rested after massage, I left more angry and frustrated. I have never had such poor massage experience in the past. If it happens to you please stop the massage immediately instead of staying there for one whole hour. I am never returning to this place. read more

I had a great experience at sunflower spa. I wanted a "spa day" and that's exactly what It was. I was really impressed with how attentive they were. They were thorough and kind. I was there for a little while as I had many services. I hadn't eaten lunch beforehand so after my massage they ordered me a salad from next door. I relaxed with a glass of Prosecco after a service and before the other. Unfortunately I lost my gold cross necklace that I've had since a child. My mistake was holding onto it instead of putting it into my purse. It will be difficult for me to walk back in there knowing I've lost something very close to me. But I look forward to having more relaxing days at an affordable price. read more
