Had a wonderful 90 minute massage. She was very intuitive on all my target areas that needed to be worked on. We'll definitely be back.

The Sanity Signature massage is a combination of Thai and traditional bodywork. It's great way to introduce yourself to Thai massage if you haven't tried it before. Everyone on staff is very courtesy, attentive, and professional. I've actually been reluctant to review Sanity Thai, because I kind of like to keep it to myself. But know it's better to support them and shout it out to the world.

I was excited to try this place after seeing all the 4.9-star reviews on Google, but unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. Right when you walk in, there's a tipping guide posted down to the dollar amount, which felt a bit off-putting. I'm someone who always tips well over 20%, so I don't need guidance. It just didn't create the best first impression. My friend and I booked different services since we had different needs. I scheduled a 90-minute "sanity signature" massage and specifically wanted medium to firm pressure with a focus on my hip and back. My friend booked an aromatherapy massage and wanted light pressure focused on her shoulders. When we got to our separate rooms, it quickly became clear that our therapists had mixed us up. Mine asked if I wanted aromatherapy, and after I corrected her, she didn't ask any follow-up questions. She ended up spending over half of the session on my right shoulder, barely addressing my back or hip, which was the whole reason I booked. Meanwhile, in my friend's room, once they realized the mix-up, her therapist asked detailed questions about her preferences. However, she still didn't actually receive an aromatherapy experience. She said the closest thing to it was just lotion. After comparing notes, we realized what likely happened: my friend had written down that she wanted focus on her right shoulder, which explains why my therapist spent so much time there instead of following my requests. Another small thing, the website mentions a cash discount, but it's only $5, which felt a bit misleading. Overall, the quality of the massage itself was pretty subpar compared to other Thai massages I've had. If you don't have much to compare it to, it might be fine, but as someone who regularly gets Thai massages, this didn't meet expectations. Additionally, the room was really bright and cold, and the music was really low. I'm honestly on the fence about going back. Part of me wonders if it would be better if they actually followed my intake sheet, but another part of me isn't convinced the overall quality would improve. I'm not sure I want to go back just to find out.

The couples massage was great! When we arrived, we were asked to fill out a questionnaire with a lot of detail around focus areas, spots to avoid, etc. I had specified relaxation with a little therapeutic massage, focus on back/shoulders, and moderate pressure usage. We really enjoyed the experience and both masseuses communicated throughout the experience regarding pressure, any pain points, and checking if we wanted a head massage prior to touching our hair with oiled hands. Note, the oil they use smells wonderful if you get a scented option but it is pretty thick so it does take some time to wash away- pick the lotion if you want something non heavy. The office massage was my second visit which i booked because of how much we liked the first appointment and I had some shoulder tension. This experience was very different. When I arrived I checked if I needed to fill out any forms like the previous visit. I was told that it was not needed as it wasn't my first visit. Knowing they were using the old forms potentially, I let the masseuse know as soon as she arrived that I would prefer lotion only instead of oil for this appointment. She promptly proceeded to apply oil to my back. When I reiterated lotion only please, she did not clear the oil but rather took additional lotion and mixed it all together. Also it seemed she was not aware of my preferences for moderate pressure from the questionnaire they said would be used from prior visits. The massage was actually slightly painful at certain points with heavy elbow usage until she heard me make a sound of discomfort. I will say she was good at pushing out certain knots in my shoulder blades with appropriate force but the pressure applied to my mid to lower back was not comfortable - especially given what massage preferences I had shared on the form originally. At the beginning of the visit, I was asked if I was okay with the masseuse walking on my back to which i had responded no. Despite this communication, she DID proceed to walk on my thighs and butt and tried to walk on my back until K had to stop her and reiterate no walking on my back. Lastly, without any communication, she proceeded to massage my hair with a combination of the oil and lotion she had used. Had she asked before initiating that, I would have said no. I actually walked away from the visit with some soreness on my lower back that was not present pre-appointment. I'd be open to revisit this spot in the future again but it may be a while before that happens due to my latest experience. I really enjoyed my first visit and experience but the second visit was not at all what was expected and the communication was not there. Cost wise, they are exactly the right price point but the experience can vary. I would say it's a hit or miss depending on the masseuse you are assigned.

There's a cozy library area with unlimited snacks, water, and beverages, which made it easy to relax before and after the service. The women's changing room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need, like hair dryers, vanity stations, hair ties, lotion, Q tips, towels, slippers, and more. Everything felt well maintained and smelled nice. If you need to head out for any dates or event after receiving the service, you can do so easily here. I booked a deep tissue massage, and my masseuse Mila was fantastic, very kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. She asked where I wanted to focus and spent most of the time working on my back and shoulders, which I appreciated. The steam shower afterward was a perfect, relaxing bonus. There was a small mix up where my friend's fragrance allergy note got assigned to my therapist instead, and since many of the products used have fragrance, it made it harder for her to fully enjoy the experience. It would be great if they improved how they handle those sensitivities. Overall, I had a great time, relaxing, high end, and a perfect place to unwind, especially if you're going solo.

Every visit can vary slightly, but generally the service and atmosphere don't disappoint. I recently booked a Swedish deep tissue massage. It was good and relaxing, though I personally prefer a more intense, hard-core pressure session. That said, the therapist was professional and attentive. One thing I really love about this place is the thoughtful layout. I hadn't explored upstairs before, and I didn't realize how spacious it actually is. The individualized sauna after your service is such a great touch and really elevates the overall experience. The small boutique is also charming and makes it easy to browse self-care products before heading out. If you're looking for a dependable spa experience in Los Gatos with relaxing amenities and a calm environment, this is a strong choice.
