I finally feel my shoulders fall and relax and my hips and SI joint have more space. The space is small but thoughtful. It is not a luxury experience with a bunch of amenities, but if you want a massage with a person who knows what they are doing, Ada is your girl! So grateful to have lucked out and found this on a trip to the south bay. Thank you!!!!

I've been here twice now and both times have been nothing short of a great experience…read more For starters: It was very easy to book online. The only thing I'd request (to make it even easier on future clients) , is the ability to choose the gender of the preferred specialist or have a list of specific specialists that work there. There is a space in the "Notes" section where you can input that sort of information, which I do appreciate. Upon arrival, you're greeted by a representative there. I was fortunate to have met and work with Ada. They then walk you to the room. The rooms were pretty clean both times, dim lighting , clean sheets, clean atmosphere, and soothing, relaxing music that compliments the ambiance. I have chosen to purchase the 60 min Luxury CBD Deep Tissue Massage both times and have seen tremendous improvement in the quality of my overall body & well being. I appreciated that Ada asked me where my areas of concern & focus were. Ada also asked follow up questions regarding those areas as far as experiencing any pain. Throughout the massage, Ada continued to ask if the applied pressure was okay and was very good at noticing when my body was reacting to the pressures. That was also much appreciated! Since the two massages (both a week apart): I feel much lighter and a lot less tense. As someone who works 12-16 hour days, and holds the weight of the world and stress in my upper body, I can safely say this is the best I've felt in quite some time. I look forward to continue coming to Restful Spa in the foreseeable future. To conclude: you pay at the very end. No deposit required (which is awesome because so many places now require one). After payment , they send you off with some water for hydrating which I found to be super thoughtful and hospitable.

Like others mentioned, the environment is decent clean. My masseur started with using hot towels to wipe my back, making me feeling relax. Throughout the entire 90 minutes, the masseur use various techniques to treat different tidiness areas, with making sure with me if I was okay with the pressure. I am not sure how many masseurs they have but I will definitely request the same one next time. Price is reasonable compared to other places in the area.

This is followed by aggressive demands for higher cash tips at checkout, where paying a standard 15-20% results in being confronted for $30+ because they "had to use their hands." When I brought this to management as a regular client, the owner explicitly stated over text that therapists "conserve their energy for customers who tip generously" (see attached screenshot). Tipping is a gratuity for good service, not a bribe to get basic effort on a session you already paid for. Save yourself the hassle and take your business to a legitimate spot that actually respects clients.

I purchased a Groupon deal for a couple's Swedish massage for $125 (total price excluding tip for…read more60 minutes for two people) and my rating of 4 stars factors in the fact that I got these massages at a better rate than if I didn't get it through Groupon, so if I had paid full price (which I believe is about $220) I likely would have leaned more 3 stars. This isn't a fancy place so if you're looking for something a bit more upscale or luxurious, I would skip this place. This place is however a good option if you're looking for a deal of a massage and want to treat yourself without spending too much (I suggest checking Groupon to see if this place is still offering any discounts). I called for an appointment mid-week and was able to get an appointment for the upcoming Sunday. The inside looks a bit better than the exterior. Pulling up to the parking kind of looks like you've pulled up to a small apartment complex for businesses and you'll find the spa upstairs from the small parking lot. I'd rate the massage itself about 3 stars. The masseuses were speaking to each other in another language at full speaking volume during the massage a couple of times. It gave me the similar feeling of when I go get my nails done and am insecure if something is being said about me (except usually I expect even less chatter during a massage compared to getting my nails done). Compared to other massage spas I've been to, there were no aromas for relaxation that I noticed, nor were there any special beverages offered before the massage. They do give you a small paper cup of water after the massage. Overall, if you're doing the Groupon deal then it's worth coming here, but if it's for full price, I'd consider other options. Also be prepared to bring cash for tip, and if you're doing the Groupon then they ask to tip off the full price instead of discounted price.
