Im seriously not a picky person.. its really rare for me to write a bad review but please DO NOT GO HERE! I have been here many times and I do not know why, but I kept going here thinking & hoping they got better... but NO! I was here 3 days ago and I did GEL. The girl painted my nails like a 3 year old, and cut my nails in all different shapes and sizes so i had to tell her to make them all the same. I asked her if I could use a NAIL POLISH REMOVER so I can do my toes at home and she said that I can and its NOT going to ruin my GEL NAILS..... so today I decided to do my toes and guess what, the freaking gel nail polish came off! I got my eyebrows threaded and a gel manicure. The manicure was good except they don't have OPI colors so I wasn't able to get the exact color I wanted. The threading was another story. The woman missed half the hairs that should've been threaded and then she drew the most horrific eyebrows on me and told me these were better than my original ones and they looked very natural. My 2nd visit here for myself- the 1st one was to get acrylic nails from scratch. (I did come in once to get a bit of gel paint that had chipped off fixed, coz Christine had said she would do it free if anything happened within 10 days of a new set, so I will give do her the credit of mentioning that). This 2nd visit was for 'refilling' them- this Monday, evening. The nail on my left forefinger was becoming quite loose & I obviously assumed that the refilling would take care of that & everything else that needed to be done & I would go back with nails all set once again. I was wrong! I was also left shocked with the unexpected lack of gentleness that I felt Christine demonstrated on my loosened nail. Her use of clippers, along with forceful pushing was so rough & devoid of any patience & skill that I squealed in pain, & the skin was obviously torn into & left bleeding, along with also damaging my own original nail! I couldn't believe she'd just done that! (See picture from next day). She obviously messed it, offered no apology, pretending it's not a big deal, as if this is something one can routinely expect when they come to get their nails filled by a 'professional'. A child could have done that if it was simply a messy & brutal 'pulling off' that was needed! Also, she simply kept offering to fix an acrylic over it, which I firmly refused coz obviously I'm not going to do that over a wound; I don't want an infection! She seemed to be least bothered by this & other standards. My other nails had also already been clipped off, leaving me neither here nor there, & she then said that she would fix that one nail when it got healed, & proceeded to fix the others. I had to go back with one nail undone, an upset mood (after the pleasant one I'd walked in with). Within a day I realized that this injury around my forefinger wasn't going to get completely healed for quite some days, definitely not in a way for me to get that nail fixed, & by that time the others would need a refill again! So I mentally resigned to the fact that I would have to go around with an unseemly band -aid on one finger instead of all proper nails. Today, Thursday noon, 2.5 days later, one of the newly done nail actually chips off during my routine work! (never happened with nails from the other place I got them done so many times). So, now I'm even more unhappy, & I go there in the evening & request for a refund of the $28, both for this new proof of shoddy work on top of the physical hurt which I'm still nursing. Instead of still showing understanding or being fair or admitting her error, Christine said I'd already come in with a hanging nail! So, I asked her if her way of fixing or refilling a hanging nail was to rip it off, & give someone a wound! Not only that, she also accused me of wanting my money back after I'd "enjoyed the nails"! Unbelievable! Just goes on further to show the quality of thinking. I said she was kidding me if she was saying I would do that for 3 days of "enjoying' partly done nails, with one hurt forefinger, & no nail! I asked the manager who was listening if he was okay with all this & he gave me back $20, coz that's what he thought I was asking for. I told him it was $28 but didn't press, coz that was not my main purpose. My main purpose was to express myself as a client at the obvious lack of professional expertise topped with lack of compassion & ethics displayed by this lady here. And, to think I'd originally chosen her even when I had seen another customer venting loudly against her for an entirely different reason, which I will omit to mention here. Anyway, they lost a customer that had just been gained. It was convenient for me to go there coz I come to that market for a host of reasons regularly including for the gym, but obviously, I don't care for that accessibility now. I wouldn't even have posted this review had it not been for Christine's unacceptable behavior today. An advice for her- There are ample nail salons around. If u want to retain clients, the last thing to do is to peel off their skin & nail brutally, then suggest that well intentioned clients are liars, or out to profit for a cheap few dollars of nails, having nothing better to do. Also, people don't care how long you've been doing what you do; they only care for how well, & how sincerely, & how much integrity u do it with. read more

Yeah thats right, im man enough to admit that I love me some asian women. I love them so much that im willing to let them pluck, pull, wax and rip hair from my eyebrows.. and I pay them $12 to do it. Sure I might also come here because my girlfriend makes fun of the grey hairs that have been popping up in my brows...or how they get "all crazy and look like a basket of broken spider legs".. But I like to tell all my friends its because I just love asian women that I come to this relaxing and friendly spa. This salon is clean, cheap and convenient. You get what you pay for here. Short wait time and affordable service without a lot of pampering extras. I like to come here when I don't want to spend a lot of money. I prefer a salon that will takes there time with cleaning, massage, and attention, and this place is not that. I had an incident yesterday that made me not want to come back. I went in for a mani/ pedi and the woman cut too deep and caused me to get a toe infection. I wasn't mad because I know that mistakes happen. I went to the doctor's office, had to pay a deductible and for antibiotics which added up to around $60. The $15 pedicure was not worth $60 in medical bills. Again, I wasn't mad. I thought it would be fair to ask for a refund at the salon. When I arrived they were nothing but rude to me. They told me that it was my fault for asking them to clean my cuticles (isn't that standard for a pedicure??). Then the owner refused to give me cash and only gave me store credit. Then when all was said and done, no one offered a single apology to me. I couldn't believe their lack of customer service, especially since I'm a repeat customer and I know they know me. I will be spending my money on a salon that is more upscale. Just know, you get what you pay for here. read more

The only reason I keep coming back to this place is because I love how Steve and Ann do my nails and my feet. My only problem with this specific nail salon is the owner. He is never friendly. Today I walked in and he just looked at me, he doesn't even say hello. I have been coming here for over a year now so I would think that greeting a client as they walk in the door is customer service 101 (especially a long term client). I really enjoy this Nail Salon. But, it is still, just ok---aren't most of them! The last time... the girl that did my nails was HORRIBLE! I usually ask for Steven, but he was out and I HAD to get my nails done. So, I figured I would try someone else... well that was a BAD story. My nails fell off three days later and I had fungus on one. She clearly did not think to prepare my old nails before doing the fill in. But, I won't ding this place for her, I really like Steven, the owner and the place is very nice. It can accomodate large groups which is very nice too! Check them out....and have Steven do your nails. I cannot promise the consistency of their service....but if you are close it is worth getting your own experience. PS: They do nickel and dime you. $1 for this, $2 for that and they will keep trying to upsell you.... Now that I remember that... that is SUPER annoying! Probably the low end that I've experienced of nail salons in Los Angeles. First of all, they are rough and are not paying attention to what they're doing. The other person who got cut - I am not surprised. Second of all, it's an assembly line. They insisted upon putting my shoes back on me and hustling me out of the chair the second they were finished, giving the pedicure polish no time to dry. Of course, it smudged. This was the second time I got my nails done at this place, and I had a very good experience today. I had called ahead to make an appointment, but the phone just rang and rang and no one ever picked up. So I just decided to go there anyway because I had a service "menu' from my last visit and it said "walk-ins welcome" on it. And sure enough, they were happy to take me as soon as I walked in the door. It was really busy (my manicurist told me that it's always busy Fri, Sat, and Sun and a lot slower the rest of the week), but there seemed to be a lot of staff on hand. I told them I wanted a mani and pedi, and they sat me in a massage chair, while I got to soak my feet in a spa jet or whatever you call those things. The last time I was here, the implements used were taken out of a plastic seal, but today, they were just taken out of a plastic box that was labeled "Clean." Still, the whole place did seem clean but no frills despite the massage chairs. Don't expect spa treatment here - they don't have the cucumber-lemon-orange-infused water and aromatherapy oils I've come to expect from the more upscale nail salons. I hate super chatty staff, but they were all nice and not overbearing in any way. The pedicurist hardly said a word; she just got down to business and did her job in a quick yet thorough way. The manicurist (yes, two people will work on you) was more talkative but not so much that it was annoying. She asked if I wanted to pay before she painted my nails, and I appreciated that because not all places will, and then you're left spending 15 minutes just to get your wallet out of your purse without ruining your nails. The mani-pedi service cost $30, plus $5 each set for French tips, so it was $40 total. I couldn't help but think i could've gone to Sydnee Rose in Northridge for about the same amount and the whole "spa" treatment, but this place was close and convenient, and it got the job done. They let me dry my nails for a long time at the drying station without pressuring me to get out. Plus Sydnee Rose doesn't even have a drying station like that, so I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. I was very happy with the results. My only "complaint" was that they don't give you much of a foot and hand massage like other places do. But oh well. I like that there is a lot of parking in the Pavilions shopping center, and I was able to wander around in Staples and Pavilions to give my nails time to harden and dry more. As much as I really want to give this place a good rating, my first experience here was not pleasant at all. They were able to take me in 45 mins after I called them on the same day for a basic pedicure, which cost me $18. Not bad! Definitely more affordable than others. There are three things I look for in a nail salon: 1) cleanliness / sanitation 2) experience 3) outcome This nail salon does get the job done don't get me wrong. However, these are some of the reasons why I am giving this nail salon a poor rating. First, I was disappointed with their color selection. The receptionist kindly recommended a few colors that were a bit more neutral to see if I would change my mind because what I had originally was too "light." Nice of him to do that but the colors he chose were a bit patchy so I preferred to stick to what I picked out. Second, I've been reading up on the reviews for this nail salon regarding cleanliness and it's a hit or a miss for most. Unfortunately for me it was a miss. The sponge they use to scrub your feet - curious to know how often they change them?! Usually, nail salons would provide a new set of tool kit including a sponge, but not here. Lastly, the lady who did my pedicure did not even let me stay to wait for my pedicure to dry. Instead, she put my slippers as soon as she finished. She had to redo one of my toenail because the slipper got in the way while she was putting it on. Never in my pedicure experience did I see this coming. Horrible customer service. I took an appoint for full set acrylic. I was appointed a Male manicurist who was not happy about the acrylic and kept insisting me to get gel nails. I said my nails a cut uneven (one was broken) so I want to do acrylic. He again gave signs about how unhappy he was doing it. I thought may be he mad at his boss they all kept talking in one of the Asian language. He started adding the acrylic powder w/o sticking the fake tip. I asked how are you going to do this? He just got furious said he will remove and someone else will redo. Soaked my fingers in acetone and I kept waiting for 45 mins they were helping other customers and I was just sitting there waiting. Ridiculous. If you want full set this is not the place you want to go. None of them are qualified or want to do it. Very cold staff. read more

This place has lost me- I started coming because it was affordable. I got a mani pedi and the massage was short I couldn't even tell that it happened. And the constant up charges. But what really got me was on my last visit I was waiting outside the shop for my friend and one of the employees came outside, snorted up and spit out a HUGE mouthful of snot. On the pavement in front of the store. It was repulsive. If employees have such little regard for the front of their store I can only imagine how they keep the back of their store. This review is long overdue! I've been a regular client at Nail Time for the past few years and have to give this salon a full 5 stars! Great service and reasonable prices for top quality nail care. I used to go to Oasis Nail Spa over on Magnolia but after trying Nail Time I realized that the quality of work and prices were much better than Oasis. Yes, you sacrifice the "zen atmosphere" but I don't mind that because my nails are in better shape and I can afford regular services to keep them maintained. A gel pedicure is $30, where most other salons charge upwards of $40. If you pay in cash they will discount your service by $2.00, which doesn't seem like much but I appreciate it and just put it towards their tip. My favorite technician is Ann, she does the best pedicure ever! And Stephen does fantastic manicures that last a full week longer than any other I've had, and I just do basic (non-gel, non-acryclic) manicures. I always have a good experience at this salon. I love the quality of their work and friendly customer service (not pushy with upselling). Plus, there's ample parking available because the salon is located in the Pavillion's shopping center... a definite advantage over street parking at Oasis. Thank you Nail TIme! :) read more

Customer service is good. I had a regular pedicure done and my toes are happy, clean, and polished with a cute color. You can select your nail color. You are seated in this huge massage chair, which is pretty clean and nice. The massage chair actually works pretty well. It has a remote control for you to select your massage options. Meanwhile your feet are dunked into this warm water and are worked on! I thought that the person working on my feet did a good job-- cleaned them well and polished well, which is what I wanted. One caution would be that sometimes they will suggest you to try something for example, "You have calluses-- would you like to remove them?" And, momentarily I thought, "Oh, sure. Well, of course-- who wants calluses." But, I remembered that it's important to ask if there's a cost and of course there is. So, I would just ask each time a service is offered unless you just wanna get everything done suggested to ya. The place is not huge, so if you're having a group outing with 10 others, I would probably rethink it unless you make an appointment and they can somehow rotate everyone. My friend and I went around 7pm and were out of there by 730pm. We were able to sit next to each other, which was very nice. The massage chair has a place where you can place your drink, if you want to make hop to Starbucks before you enter the nail salon. We didn't wait at all since I called in that day about 2 hours before. But, I don't even know if you need an appointment since it wasn't too busy. There were customers in the store but not many. Compared to other nail salons where I think they did extra things like massage my legs and feet and wrapped my feet in warm towels... I don't remember this place doing these extra things without being charged extra. Regular pedicure was $18 not including tip, which I thought was a little more than I would've wanted to pay considering other places charged that price or less and did some extra things. I've been coming to this nail salon since I was a kid, 15+ years. I've only recently (within the past 3 years) started getting acrylics done here. Initially Steve and Paul always did my acrylics and they were AMAZING, always the exact shape I wanted and they'd ask questions along the way to ensure I was happy with it. Recently, as Steve has left and Paul is always busy, any time I've gone to get acrylics they've been jacked. Inconsistent shapes and sizes and almost always lifted at a weird angle off of my finger. It's a comfortable atmosphere, pedicures are always great. They recently renovated and got new massage chairs and repainted. I do intend to start looking for a different nail salon. read more

A hidden gem and just five minutes from my house. I just moved to the Glendale/Burbank area and was anxious to find a neighborhood nail place. I found it! Nail Time is located in a nondescript strip mall near a Staples. Not much of a decor to speak of, just your typical no-frills nail salon with a small room in the back for waxing. However, Nail Time makes up for it with their friendly staff and good quality of service. In my first and only visit so far I had a lower leg wax for $25, a french mani for $25 and a spa pedi with callus removal for $20. A tad bit pricier than your run-of-the-mill neighborhood nail salons, but I think this place is quite a few notches above those random cheaper nail salons because of their extremely friendly staff and their use of tools in sanitized packs. I just wanted a serene, quiet, no frills Sunday afternoon where I could get my nails cleaned and polished without having to fight through all sorts of traffic, look for parking or deal with a long wait. I got it with this place and I'm going to keep going back. By the way, they've got great hours because they're open until 8 during the week. One reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is they tried to upsell me with an eyebrow wax when all I wanted was a leg wax. I had to tell my wax lady "no" twice and pretty firmly. I hate when they do that. But oh well, I'm Asian and I understand because my mom sometimes does the same to me. The other reason for the 4 stars is the upsell for the additional foot massage at $10 for 10 minutes. The service in total was $32 Second time... Good thing: They will take you for a lower leg waxing immediately. Bad thing: They double dip--and if you don't know how nasty that is, I feel sorry for you. It was not cheap waxing either, so there's the rub. Next, I got my second pedicure at this place. Again, not cheap. I asked for the callous treatment. She put on the gel, but didn't wrap the feet. Left with callouses. Put it all on my ATM and that cost me 50 cents. Had to tip in cash-- no options. So basically, no customer service, which irks me to no end. read more

They totally ruined my nails while removing my gels. They were so aggressive and straight up peeled the gel off without allowing the acetone to soften it. Then buffed and filed my top layer of nail and now they are so thin and brittle. It was like they had never removed gels before.
