I get my gel pedicures here, best massage for foot very relaxing. And they are really careful with your cuticles which is very important to me. Really nice manicures, I got gel x, and they coat nicely.

3 attempts at gel polish over acrylic and my nails still look bad! I've been here many times over the years for a mani/pedi and have never had a problem until this last week. I had acrylic gel nails that needed a fill, cut down, etc... the lady was nice enough to repair two nails that had fallen off at no extra charge... I asked her to please make the acrylic thinner and cut them down and then shape them into almond shape... she was very rough with my nails i was cringing... it was even painful at times... she seemed very nice, but she was so careless and in a hurry with what she was doing... i don't even think she was using the right tips on that rotating tool because she only used 1 type the whole time when normally I've seen others would use a different tip for the areas closest to you cuticle and skin, etc... (I think the lady's name was Kristine and she kept telling me to come back because i'll like her work)... anyway, i chose a color and she began to apply it... she mentioned that the polish was "old" and the owner didn't like to "waste products", etc... i asked if i should choose a different one and she told me that it was ok... well i left in a hurry because it was a busy Saturday and she basically just wiped my nails down and said bye and walked off to her next waiting customer... I had to come back 2 days later because the finish of the gel was lumpy and uneven... it was not smooth and looked just awful (I wish i had taken a photo)... there were some less opaque areas of the bright yellow color i chose... i came back and she redid them with a different brand of polish that she recommended and she was so rough again in removing the gel polish and then proceeded to apply the new polish... they looked better, but still didn't have a smooth even finish that I'm used to with gel polish... within 2 days the gel polish was completely gone on 3 of my nails and chipping off another nail... but she blamed me for requesting to thin them out... it also exposed that one of the nails was so thin that it was chipping and separating on the side... So I came back again (7 days after the first attempt) and had to explain to them that I needed a polish change again because they needed to fix my nails... and this "conversation" was me standing at the front desk having to yell/speak very loudly back and forth across the room where they were all busy with customers... the same lady again tried to fix my nails, but after she again roughly removed the gel and repaired what was needed with my acrylics, she said she had to have someone else apply the polish because her client with an appointment walked in... I was actually relieved because I thought maybe someone else could do a better job... the next lady was very nice and more gentle and took her time, but the gel polish is still bad... i don't even want to go back and complain or whatever because I'm just frustrated, disappointed and done with this place unfortunately... The pictures attached are what my nails look like today... I chose a different color and the brand they recommended and they are still unacceptable really... will not be coming here ever again... one word to describe the service I received here is UNCOUTH...

Christine was my nail tech today and I absolutely love my nails. The picture does no justice to how beautiful they actually look. She took her time and made sure I was happy with her work. I would highly recommend her for nails . The prices here are also very reasonable.

A star is even too much! The lady didn't do anything I asked for and she charged me $23 for a 5 minute quick pedicure! Terrible!

Please don't double-dip when waxing clients! That is not sanitary. Use a new "popsicle stick" each time. Can they really be that expensive??

Steven is the best manicurist at Nail Time. Two weeks ago I was told he no longer works there and left "to be his own boss." No one in the salon will tell me where he is now working. Does anyone happen to know?

Steven and Anne are at Unique Nails & Spa Salon on the corner of victory and Buena vista in Burbank.

I went in and the nice technician started removing my gel, at the end of removing my gel she asked 'do you want me to cut your cuticles for you?' And I said 'if you don't mind that would be appreciated!' She cut my cuticles and I went to wash my hands and was ready to pay. However when I went to pay, the receptionist told me it would be $45, I asked to confirm the price because all I got was my gel removed and she told me because I agreed to having my cuticles cut, it was now considered a manicure and 'she did the service so I need to pay it.' To which I asked for clarification because she did not paint my nails, do a clear coat, soak my nails, or any of the other services that come with a manicure. She said I could get a polish if I wanted to and I considered it but then I asked again is there no way to pay a little more than the gel removal fee because yes she did cut my cuticles but it feels unfair that since they did not communicate that uncharge to me that I would be expected to pay for a service I simply did not get. She said I should have asked for the prices when she offered to cut my cuticles and I said that doesn't feel fair because I've gotten gel removed before where they just cut my cuticles without asking so why would I have assumed it would be a $35 add on to my $10 service. The receptionist then told me to leave and she would rather me not pay than argue with her. I explained I was not arguing and I do want to pay, $45 for a service I did not receive feels unfair but I would not be leaving without paying. I took a $20 out of my wallet and put it on the technicians table and left. I paid double what I would have paid for the service alone, I will not let someone think I'm trying to not pay service workers, she deserves to be paid, however, I am not okay with trying to be scammed out of $35 for a up-charge that was not communicated properly. I do not recommend this shady behavior in an establishment, sorry for the miscommunication but this could have been handled so much better than it was.

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a nail salon. The Owner and Manager's are…read moreconsistently "entitled" and rude - even to loyal customers. NOTE: The amount of hypocrisy in the messages they respond to reviews on here is incredible. They consistently use the terminology that they "value loyalty" - yet again, if you dare to cancel an appointment (respectfully, with communication), their way of handling, it will be to punish you. So no amount of polite "up speak" or other comments can make up for the fact that this is how they actually handle loyal customers. For some reason, the ownership, which is a partnership between Patti, and her male counterpart, believe that you've committed some horrible offense if you dare to reschedule your appointment. They're one of 1000 manicure salons in Los Angeles, and they happen to be right down the street from some major Studios, so how insane is it that they find it offensive that busy folk in the entertainment industry might need to occasionally reschedule their appointment??! I've been a loyal customer for over five months, having put up with some of the rudeness and entitlement, because there was one Manicurist, who always did a decent job. I even on one occasion them brought them expensive smoothies because I happen to be grabbing one for myself... But did it stop them from being rude when three months later I needed to reschedule an appointment?! No. In fact, they acted as if I wasn't a loyal customer, and as if I had done something atrocious, like missed an appointment, without bothering to request the appropriate change. My reason for cancellation? I had had a serious medical situation come up. I even offered to pay for my missed appointment, but all I got back was that I was no longer welcome to schedule with that particular Manicurist, because her time and schedule is very important. They also then told me the only way that I could book in a future appointment would be online- so I was being punished for having a medical emergency and having the audacity to actually try to reschedule a manicure appointment! I have all the texts to prove this, if annyone out there wishes proof of this. Additionally, they lied, and said that "due to my several cancellations" - when I literally had only had ONE cancellation, five months, previous, again to due to illness. I don't know if this cruel and vindictive behavior that does not value, loyalty and kindness is because the owners are just unkind human beings, or if they're just so overwhelmed with always being shortstaffed that they've decided the only way to handle their personal upset is to take it out on loyal customers. Doesn't matter. I immediately rescheduled with an outstanding manicure salon that just opened literally five minutes from them, and so far those two appointments have been outstanding. Bel-Air Nails. But really, as we all know, there's thousands of good nail salons in Los Angeles, this is definitely not one of them. Thank you. - Kathryn B.

Walked in at 4:10pm and got a pleasant, warm welcome from Jamy and her husband Nick. The salon was empty except one other woman doing her pedicure. Vast selection of nail polish colors. Regular and gel. Jamy, told me to take a seat, and without an appointment they welcomed me with open arms. Nick, her husband did my pedicure, and did heck of a great job!! He was also very funny. He was professional, knew his job well and was extremely meticulous about his work. They have 4 chairs to do their manicure, and 5 massage chairs to do their pedicure. Thankfully, the TV was on and it was not the depressing, sad, violent news. They were showing Americas got Talent. Also, soft music would have been nice to listen too. After he was done with my pedicure Jamy, took me inside their room where they do waxing. I needed to wax my under arms, and eye brows. She did a great job; and for both services they charged me $58.00. Even though they are the business owners, I still tipped them well. Place was super clean, with cute decor here and there. Parking shared with other businesses, and one gender neutral restroom also very clean. She even gave me a $2.00 off for my waxing. My only critique is that the massage that Nick did on my legs/feet was too short. Didn't even last 3 minutes. I also like the pressure to be medium to medium hard. He hand strong hands, but didn't deliver. I will definitely visit this salon when I am in the area. Highly recommend to others. Services that are being offered here are the following: waxing, manicure, manicure/pedicure, nail fill in, nail polish change and removal, and nail repair. Thank you Nick and Jamy.

The spa had great reviews online, so I was really excited for a relaxing experience. When I arrived, the staff member who greeted me was incredibly kind and helpful. She helped me choose the type of manicure I wanted, and I really appreciated how welcoming she was. The woman who did my pedicure was also nice overall. She didn't speak to me much, but I was completely okay with that. My pedicure itself was great. Unfortunately, my manicure experience was extremely disappointing. I didn't get the woman's name because she never greeted me or spoke to me at any point, but she was wearing a black shirt with pearls and bows. From the beginning, she seemed annoyed, agitated, or possibly in a rush. Throughout the manicure, I felt like I was an inconvenience. I am nine months pregnant, and while I did my best to sit still, it is understandably difficult to remain completely motionless at 39 weeks. Every time I moved or shifted slightly, she would huff and puff. She repeatedly jerked my hand around and aggressively moved the light, which made the entire experience feel uncomfortable and unnecessarily tense. I was really looking forward to the services I paid $116 for today, and unfortunately, I left feeling worse than when I walked in. That was especially disappointing because I had been looking forward to treating myself before my baby arrives. I do want to emphasize that the other staff members I interacted with were kind, the spa was clean and peaceful, and my pedicure was great. My issue was specifically with the manicure experience and the way I was treated during it. Before leaving, I asked if I could speak with a manager. The woman working at the counter was very kind and explained that the manager was not there, but assured me she would pass along my experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. I wasn't expecting special treatment because I'm pregnant I simply wanted to be treated with patience and basic courtesy, especially during what was supposed to be a relaxing experience.
