The man was rude as hell. Argued with me the entire time about using the wrong color. He has got to be color blind. I even referred at to the pallette they had and it was clear as day the qrong was wrong. He argued anyway and then tried to paint over the dip powder with gel to "lighten the color" the shape is alright but sideways. He did not do a manicure of any kind so the cuticles are showing a.d the red from my previous dip is still on my nails. Sad but never again the color should have been purple. read more

I had to wait 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time that was GIVEN to me for a nail tech to even acknowledge and start. Once started the entire pedicure took 7 MINUTES tops for a service that should've been 25 minutes. And then the chap (short guy spiky hair) was eves dropping on the phone call I was on voicing my grievance - he had the nerve to come and attack me about me voicing my concern to my friend? I gave him exact time frames WITH examples to prove my point of the pedicure taking 7 minutes from start to finish. He had nothing to say. Not even an apology. I did not return to this location to get them fixed because I live an hour away I visited a friend and she said it was closest to her house so I came to this salon. Based on the positive reviews pictures I still didn't like the way other people's nails looked so I didn't want to come back if they were still going to look like that. I wanted to get regular first and then if I really liked your work then I would get gel the next time. I have never been to a salon that had regular acrylic nails still wet after 4 hours. I moved from Aurora and had a nail spot for years so when I moved to this area it was hard finding a new place. I've been going to Travis for about 3-4 years now and he's awesome !!! Ohhh Nail Tek and spa!!! I wanted to love this place but instead I won't return. I'm not a every two weeks kinda gal. However I am a special occasion type and I only get basic pedicure and no chip manicure. My pedicure was ok usually it lasts about two weeks. My no chip grows out one week and my hair gets caught underneath my nail. I returned to have it fixed explaining what was happening to Daisy and she really got flustered and upset. Basically I was told it was my fault ‍. Long story short I was charged full price for another no chip manicure one week to the date and I felt terrible about it. After that ,again, one week later same problem nails lifting from the outgrow. This place is very close to home but honestly I cannot return to a place where they can't admit that they did something wrong. If you pay for a no chip it's guaranteed 2 weeks at least. I gave this place at least 5 times and every single time it's the same story. I won't return. read more

I have always been happy with my pedicures What I wasn't happy about is the fact that I make an appointment, make sure I am there on time and I still have to wait 20-30 minutes to be taken care of. For the last 2 years, I find the Management to be very rude and insulting. With businesses closing constantly and the competition for Nail Salons abundant, one would think that this business would be anxious to get business and keep business and NOT intimidate existing biz. Went to Nail Tek and Spa today to get my little sister some fake nails for the first time ever because she's been begging to try them for months now. As you can see from the picture, this place gave her a horrible experience! Not only did they cut off a chunk of her skin, but they refused that they did anything wrong and made us pay full price and not even APOLOGIZE for hurting my 8 year old sister. All the guy could say is that he put antiseptic on it and that it will be fine. When I go to get my nails done I want them to look nice, not like I have an infection. Since this place threw a fit over my boyfriend's negative comment about my experience and threatened him with a lawyer then had yelp remove his comment due to the fact it wasn't his first hand experience. I used to love a certain lady here. I only get my eyebrows waxed here and have returned for service in hopes of seeing her. The past few months I have recieved terrible service. They mistake my explantions (of how I want my eyebrows shaped since I just want it to be clear), my concerns (when they hand me a dirty cloudy mirror that I can hardly see my reflection to see the results of their service) and call it complaining. I have not once complained to them. My eyebrows look great! That's why I return. I just wish the lady that listens to me and is friendly still worked there. I work in customer service and I enjoy listening to my customers and clients and making them happy. This place reached out to my boyfriend begging him to take down my terrible experience and threatened him with a lawyer over their misunderstanding. They don't listen, they talk shit about customers in their language and it's obvious. There are nail salons on every corner. I was a walk-in and got the Luxury Pedicure package ($35). Anh was my nail tech. This place is a hidden gem! Very clean and quiet relaxing environment. Want to tell everyone about my experience with Nail Tek and Spa. Travis, the shop owner, has been doing my nails for nearly 20 years. Acrylics, No Chip & now Powder nails. Travis does an outstanding job. I've never had an infection and I think maybe I broke 5 nails over the years. I drive 45 minutes to have Travis do my nails and Daisy does my pedicures. She does a great job. I have the ugliest toenails. Daisy makes them look great & feel good. Prices are so reasonable. I find both listen to me when I make requests. Better than that I usually just go with what they recommend. I am very comfortable in the shop. Friendly, efficient, and fast!! I'll start off by saying I have been getting pink and whites pretty regularly for several years now- that being said, I know what they should be and how they should feel and look. I'll also say I REALLY wanted to like this place. The setup is really nice. I've been twice and my nails were SOFT both times. It's either their top coat or the lamps. Mentioned it to the girl first time and she said they were fine. (The top coat ended up peeling shortly after) This time I went back as I had my nails done by the owner and he did a few nails again. They're still soft, sticky almost, and my whites are not white- they're YELLOWISH. He was very fast and the shaping he did (I asked to stay at same length) was not great (have a couple sharp angles). They do fine other than the top coat issue which is a dealbreaker for me. read more

The worst nail salon ever. I will not recommend this place. My sister and her friends went into this salon to get their nails done for prom. My sister asked for black nails she got navy blue. One of her friends nails were crooked. When calling to speak about the issue no apologies were offered just a lame invitation to go back and get polish. Gel/Acrylic nails beware: I almost never write a review, but in this instance, I had to! I have been getting my nails done since I was 14 years old (full sets) and know how it should look. I just moved to the area and needed a full set post quarantine! 1. Travis (the nail tech) did a dip full set and the nails popped off 1 week later. Ok, no big deal, I'll just get a gel full set the next time....the nail salon was clean, there were safety measures from COVID, and the tech was nice...so I'll go back. 2. Went back in to see Travis and he did a full set pink/white. The nails were the size of boulders they were huge and thick! So embarrassed I didn't even want to show my hands to my husband! Plus, one nail was leaning to the left and he said it was because of the shape of MY FINGER!!! Are you serious? My finger?!?!?!? I had to go back the next day so he could fix it, but it was still bad. Wasted $55!! Other techs may be ok, but Travis, he was not. He may be good at regular manicures but if you get a full set gel, acrylic, or fill in DO NOT go here. I would've given him a 1 Star, but he did say to come back for free to have him fix it ....still did a bad job. read more

I suggested having something relaxing playing on the TV and he got very angry with me. they had the news on at a very loud volume. maybe it's just my preference but I would prefer not to watch the news while I'm getting my nails done. Certainly the owner can have on whatever he wants on the TVs and he can take or leave my suggestion. i'm writing this review right now sitting in my car watching him talk angrily inside the spa as I type this. I have been a client of Travis and Daisy for 6 years. I have followed them because they are artists. They truly have a passion for what they do it's not a just a way to earn income. They will not rush you through a manicure or pedicure, just to get another client in. They are realistic what the time it takes for the services a client request.
