I have tried different places near by, and I finally find the one. My favorites are Ann, Grace and Nicole! Because when they do it it just last more and they work amazing. Place is clean, and overall staff is very friendly. They also offer waxing, and other services I always do gel manicure and regular pedicure, sometimes I get like a special pedi that includes more stuff with lotions, massages etc. I am a regular, I come here every 3 weeks.

They have a nice selection of nail polish and the bottles aren't dried up nail Polish that has had nail polish remover added to it to make it last longer. There is a parking lot adjacent to them. If you time it right, you might be able to find a spot. It's a large place and you wont feel like you are on top of other customers. Ask for Sharon she does a good job.

I came here with a friend and this is was my first time and I really liked my experience. My nail tech was nice, attentive, and gentle. Although she was fast throughout, my nails looked great after. I liked my nail shape, cuticles, and overall time here! Def recommend! :)

I have been here twice so far as they have been great to accommodate me being a walk-in each time. I run all my errands nearby, so it's just convenient in terms of location. My first visit, I forgot the name of the lady that did my mani-pedi, but it was great. She was very gentle and careful, but just enough where her work was quality and I loved how both my fingers and toes turned out. She did cut my cuticle a little too short where there was slight bleeding... but the empath in me understands that accidents can happen... especially in this line of work. Today I went again and will not name drop, but the lady that did my mani-pedi was kind... but did manage to cut my cuticles too short and left several parts bleeding. She noticed on only one of the fingers and then continued to grab a tissue to apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Not a single word to acknowledge this mishap and pretended that she didn't see the others while wiping the blood "discreetly" away. Of course my fingers stung after. I'm trying to reason with this and didn't quite get upset as I do understand that it can happen. Moving onward, as she was finishing up my manicure, I witnessed right before my eyes her open the drawer right behind her and grab a sterilization pouch. She then put in all the nail clippers she just used on me (without cleaning them) into the pouch and sealed it shut. This validated my thoughts on the "sterilized" pouches at nail salons. In this case, it was just for the illusion of opening up a new pouch in front of the next customer for them to think it's clean. If it's not cleaned prior, what is the point of even doing that in the first place? I can't say that all workers do this here, or if that's the system in place for this establishment, but this action was definitely observed from a consumer perspective. I can't speak for other nail salons as well, but this has always been a curious thought on my mind. If it truly was clean and "sterile" just because it's in a sealed pouch. My pedicure today also felt rushed although it didn't seem as busy when I visited.

    My manicure

I don't mind having my manicure done at the same time as my pedicure if the same standards are kept. I left with polish all over my cuticles, air bubbles in my polish and bumps that I had pointed out previously left unfixed

Long overdue review for this nail salon. I've tried this place a few times already and have nothing but great things to say. Even when they're really busy (usually afternoons and weekends), they are always attentive and give exceptional customer service & extremely clean! Will a ton of nail polishes to choose from (essie, OPI, Color Club, vinylux, etc...) there is always 1 color you can go for. One of the reasons why I end up coming here as opposed to all the nail salons on the francis lewis strip which I have been to. The salon definitely has a salon/spa like feel to it which I really love. From the outside it doesn't look like much but the inside is beautiful. You may be paying the most on the whole strip out of all salons for a gel manicure but it feels like luxury and the price is definitely worth it. All the girls here are great, but I settle for Sharon because her work is delicate and she cares for your nails as well as tells you what you should do to keep them healthy.

I love how this salon does not do acrylics so there is no chemical smell. It is actually enjoyable to get my nails done.

I have never made a reservation so Ive always had to wait. This previous time I came, I kept coming back in 1 hour intervals with no availability. I decided to wait the last time I came back and was able to get my nails done. My nails last and have not chipped yet. (It has been 2 weeks!) It's very relaxing and they have stands for your phone if you decide to watch a show. Their designs are great and they gave me exactly what I asked for. First off, the salon is down a flight of broken concrete steps that are a tripping hazard and it is drafty and cold inside with no nice touches. I added on a service of callus removal - $15, not cheap. It was subpar, I've never seen a rasp used in any of the dozen salons I've used over the years, and the actual removal was not good. Maybe 50% of the callus was removed. Most salons have nail drying oil and saran wrap at the pedicure drying station for customers to use. This one did not. When I asked for saran, the nail tech wrapped it so haphazardly (like she had never done it before), that I ended up with marks from the saran all over my nails. Do NOT recommend.

Extremely Disappointed After 2+ Years of Loyalty -- Very Money-Hungry Business That Doesn't Value…read moreCustomers My sister and I have been loyal, consistent clients at this salon for over two years. Sadly, our recent experience has shown that they care more about money than treating their customers with basic respect and professionalism. I sent a deposit to secure an appointment, clearly expecting it to go toward the booking. At no point did I say it was a tip. The owner had previously canceled on me last minute, and I was understanding. Instead of asking for a refund, I chose to reschedule. When rescheduling, I was told a time with no clarification of AM or PM. Since I asked for the earliest slot, I assumed AM. I traveled from Brooklyn to Queens early in the morning and waited 45 minutes without a single response to my texts or calls. Hours later, I was finally told to come back. Frustrated but still loyal, I canceled other plans and returned--only to be offered a free manicure to make up for the mix-up. That day, my Uber costs alone were over $100--more than the cost of the service. Given all the inconvenience, I chose not to leave a tip, which is well within my rights as tipping is optional. I usually always tip, but not after that experience. Later, I was refused service completely--because I wanted to apply the deposit I had already sent toward a new appointment rather than let them keep it as a tip. Denying a loyal customer over something so small and unjustified is beyond unprofessional. This business lost two long-time clients over a situation that could've been resolved with basic communication and decency. If you value your time, money, and being treated with respect--go elsewhere And I'm happy you responded the way you did because you only proved my point more of how viewed your customers as optional and I wasn't valued as a customer after 2 years of loyalty and consistent tipping !

I can't stop looking at my nails!…read more I've never done my nails outside before, so I was excited when my friend suggested doing our nails here. The spa is located on the second floor. Make sure to call to secure a spot, as they can easily get booked! The place is cash only, with tax if you Venmo/Zelle. The place was very chill, with the nail techs chatting with each other throughout my experience while they casually work their magic. I got the Gel Manicure ($40). They started off asking me to pick a color from a selection of books. Then the nail tech asked what shape I wanted, and began filing, shaping, and trimming my cuticles. Note to self and other nail newbies that nails need to grow out super long if you want square gel nails, to prevent the gel from touching your skin. The process was overall very relaxing, and fascinating for me to see the amount of care the lady puts into perfecting my nails. The process took around 1 hour 30 minutes, and even with my first time nails, the lady was chill and accommodated with patience, tips, and skill in making the gel manicure work on my short nails. Both my friend and I were very satisfied. My friend had the Regular Manicure ($15) and she noted how they added a finishing nail enamel spray, which other places don't do. Consider Arete for your next girls self care day!

This place left me with serious buyer's remorse--I regretted my decision to come here and even more so after paying so much. During my pedicure, the nail tech scrubbed my foot so aggressively with the exfoliating tool that she cut the underside of my toe. She seemed to realize it too, because she noticeably used less pressure on the other foot. I didn't notice the cut right away, but felt a sting afterward and saw the injury. When I pointed it out, she apologized--but said nothing in the moment and had me put my foot back into the water, which is a major hygiene concern and increases the risk of infection. I asked when I arrived if they accepted cards and was told yes, but the additional card fee wasn't mentioned until checkout. That kind of information should be disclosed upfront--especially given that their prices are already on the higher end. I also got acrylic extensions, which were really mediocre. The length was inconsistent (as shown in my pictures), the application was thick, and the finished result looked like I already had them on for a week--she didn't apply the product close to the cuticle line, which left an obvious gap. The total came out to about $180 for a gel pedicure and acrylic manicure, and unfortunately, the quality just didn't match the price. They're charging premium rates for subpar work. (Keep in mind I wouldn't mind the price if it actually looked good and they did not give me a cut on my foot) Definitely won't be returning, and I WOULD NOT recommend this place to others.
