I got recommended by my sisters to come check out Tings Nails to get my birthday nails done here. Messaged them on instagram in advance. They were very responsive and very booked so book in advance! They were very time efficient- they quoted me 2.5 hours and they finished exactly then. Lin did such a good job with my nails and was super attentive to details. I loved how she constantly asked me if things were looking okay before curing it under the lamp. I sent them a photo of the nails I wanted (but longer length) and she did them better than the photo itself! The total was $135 before tip which is not bad for how it turned out! Definitely will come here again & recommend to my friends/family!
So glad I found this place on Yelp! I'm thankful I was able to get an appointment with less than a week's notice. I showed several pictures of the the idea I was going for and they did a great job with the theme I wanted (floral with ombré). It was quicker than I expected and will definitely be going back again.
Found Ting's Beauty Studio because I loved someone's nail designs and she gave me Ting's Instagram. It's been a while since I've been back because of COVID but I used to go pre-pandemic at her old studio and she is so fantastic!!!!! I can't wait to return! I heard her studio space expanded. Ting is really amazing and talented and continues to educate herself, so she utilizes a lot of the latest techniques in Japanese nail art. She is upfront on what to expect when booking with her like paying initial deposit upfront, paying through Venmo, appointments only, etc. I'm not sure if things have changed since then so I'll edit/update my review when I go back! I highly recommend!!
It was easy to request an appointment via Instagram message. A deposit is required before your appt is confirmed, which is understandable. I sent a picture of what style i wanted and Ting gave me a quote for price. I found the price very reasonable for the design and length of time required for the service. The location Main street, Flushing is easily accessible via public transportation and the shop is also easy to find, just go up a few flights of stairs. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appt, and was seen on time. Ting is very efficient and I would absolutely recommend her services. My nails are now 3 weeks old and there is barely any lifting. I'm looking forward to going back.
Great nail salon! Seems like it's still a small business of two people. I don't get my nails done very often and I wanted artsy nails for a vacation. I made my reservation 2-3 weeks in advance via Instagram DM. The way it grows out has been great even after 2.5 weeks. My nails haven't lifted at the edges or anything. I think my only qualm was design related but I think that's just a personal opinion. I'm just slightly irked that my manicurist did so many blues paired with whites and reds paired with yellows and didn't switch it up enough. But definitely will be recommending this place to friends and coming back for any future nail requests.
I love going to Ting to do my nails! Almost like an addiction. She does such an amazing job that now my friends are hooked too! The last time I went to her was more than a month ago and my nails still be looking fresh and new! My friend did her nails recently and one of the charm from her nails broke (it was her fault tho) within a week but Ting replaced it for free!! It's very easy to make an appointment with her. She responds very fast too. Her prices are also much better than most of the nail salons. Will be going to her for a long time!
came all the way from NJ to get my nails done and am so pleased with Tings attention to detail and perfection! This was my first time getting gel extensions and I am so pleased with the quality. I DMed Ting on instagram two designs of line art I found off google and asked if she could recreate it on my nails and she said yes so I trusted her and thought it was worth the trip. Besides the two designs, I was that annoying customer who had no idea what else to do with my other 8 nails but she walked me through it and last minute I just told her to do whatever design to two more and she wasn't annoyed and made them beautiful! I also like the fact that it's such a private salon since it's one on one. Thank you Ting!

I have had really bad experience with my nails prior as it is difficult to find someone who is patient, cares about every step, and makes sure each nail is perfect, especially here in New York. I've yet to meet anyone as precise and skillful as Ting is. I'm very particular with my nails and she never fails to impress me with her skills. She takes her to perfect each nail and makes sure you're satisfied and happy, which is hard to find because other places just rush and do a mediocre job. Her prices are also really reasonable. You pay for what you get and with Ting, I think you get more than what you pay for because of the gel she uses. My nails grow back healthier and stronger, and they lasts over 3 weeks. If you want a professional, hygienic and great experience, I'd recommend going to Tings. You'd never go back to a regular nail salon after.
I was searching for a great place to get asian-style gel nail art done and this place was fantastic. I showed the nail technician pictures to use as inspiration and she came up with a really beautiful design. I got a ton of compliments at the wedding I attended. Even though I only intended to get my nails done for a special occasion, I couldn't resist getting my nails done one more time, because they came out so beautifully and will be returning again soon.
This place truly is a hidden gem! I came across Ting's instagram and fell in love! Her salon is located in a very adorable and clean suite in Flushing. She is very professional and answers promptly. When making an appoint with Ting, it is important to give yourself plenty of time. Ting takes her time and her appointments usually are 1hour - 1.5 hours. She is very detail oriented and overall a perfectionist. Her manicures last beautifully! You are not just paying for the service but for the whole experience. I have already gone to Ting 3 times and plan on going to her for all my nail needs!
My nails have never felt so special! I can't stop looking at it, they are sooooo good looking! Ting is very attentive to every detail and have amazing taste and incredible collection of decorations and jewels for nail. She told me that most of her items including gels she use and decorations she bought comes from Japan! And she uses real Swarovski crystals! They are not cheap though, but I think it's totally worth it! Ting's technique is also the best I've seen, unlike other places they do things always in a hurry, she takes it slow and make it to a perfection . When it comes to what style I should do, we kinda worked it together, and I think it comes out really nice! We played around with decorations a little bit and this sailor moon themed design was a happy surprise! Also, she is just a really nice person. I feel very comfortable in the studio. Not much for small talks, if you are looking for a quite and relaxing experience this is the place! I'm glad she only takes appointments and one customer at a time, it is a more high end feeling then if you walk into a place with other people and many workers

I've been coming to Ting's for my manicure for more than one year. It's already become a place to fulfill my fancy "princess" dream and relax. I felt so sad that I couldn't come for my manicure during the quarantine. Thank to God, it reopens! The beautiful nails make my day! I found it online, which happened to be in the same building as my office. Ting is always nice and professional. She is capable to perfectly completed the design I want, even MUCH BETTER than I ever expected. She is super good at gel extension. TBH, the gem or accessories on my nail never falls until I go to my next manicure. Maybe the studio is not spacious, but it has everything you need. If you are looking at this, do not wait, make appointment with her! You won't regret, I swear to GOD!

my best friend suggested me to this salon because she's a loyal client there & we had scheduled appointments via Instagram beforehand. there are 2 people there which was perfect for both of us & they are amazing!! we sent them photos/vids for inspiration & pricing & we each paid a $30 deposit. we got matching gel manicures & they use leafgel which is super high quality. they're both super talented & we love our nails i am 100% coming back every month w my bestie from now on they're the best! read more
Nice and kind nail technicians who really listen and pay attention to your desired results. Super quick responses for nail appointments via Yelp. Prices are average as Japanese gel manis go (with minimal designs). I like to keep my nails short and am particular with what I want in regards to nail prep: keeping my nail shape the same, minimal bur usage, no cuticle cutting. I love that the nail tech (I never caught her name) was able to understand that and keep to my preferences without diminishing the quality/ durability of the gel nail design. My nails lasted 3+ weeks without any chips or dents. I usually frequent Arete, but I think Ting's will be my go to (she responds so much faster especially for appointment bookings!). read more

Ting's studio is an absolute gem! I'm so happy to have found her and her studio in Flushing. She is skilled, patient, and artistic in her work. I am blown away by her attention to detail. As someone who used to do their own nail art, I am very picky who I let touch my nails, but hands down would let Ting make art on my nails any day! Incredible works! I came to Ting with no clue about what design I should choose at all. I showed her a lots of pictures I saved and finally decided to do a red one which I never tired before. It came out so good. And she changed the design a little. I can tell she has a good taste! I have been four places to do nail before. And I feel she's the best. First time here! Ting is very accommodating! I gave her a lot of nail design for ideas and she was able to come up with a lovely design. She was very reassuring since i'm not used to having long nails. She advised me how to take care of my nails. Her place is clean. She sanitizes after every customer. I found Ting on Instagram, and ended up driving 1.5 hours to get my nails done by her. Needless to say, it was totally worth it! I made the appointment the day before for a gel design with extensions. I went in with horrible cuticles, and she spent her time fixing them up before moving on to the extensions. The design was one that I saw on her instagram, with a few changes. They turned out gorgeous, better than any experience I've had at a nail salon before. For the quality of service and end result, the pricing was super reasonable- even a bit low in my opinion (not complaining though). I'll definitely be returning once these nails grow out. read more

Okay first of all, I never write reviews on here but the work that Ting did was too amazing not to talk about. This was my first time ever getting nail art done professionally and I'm so glad I came here. After hours of comparing other places, I decided Ting's work was too great to pass by. So I made an appointment and sent in my deposit. I got my gel nail polish taken off free of charge and after Ting meticulously cleaned up my cuticles, I showed her the picture of what I wanted and she got to work right away. It was honestly such an amazement to see how detailed she was. Honestly compared to the reference picture I showed her, she did it almost identical if not more perfect than the reference picture. She hand painted and sculpted these nails into perfection and i will be coming back soon for another amazing masterpiece. She is a true artist and has so much passion for what she does. I was tired of heading into Manhattan for a manicure every four weeks.. which is when I came across Ting on yelp. Went through the reviews, looked at the pics, and messaged her. Very quick to respond & set appointment -- $30 deposit needed, no big deal as time is money. I had never used Japanese gel (leafgel), but there is now no turning back. My first time here went well. Ting was nice but very quiet. The studio is small and cute. I bought along my boyfriend and he quietly sat down in one of the chairs in the back, not sure if this made her uncomfortable because she kept looking bak at him ( perhaps It was the Dunkin Coffee he had that was throwing her off). Anyway my nails came out lovely. I paid a $30 deposit and was then charged $80 after the service so the total not including tip came out to be $110. read more

I came to Ting's last month to get UV gel nails for the first time and absolutely loveee the results. It's a small beauty studio in downtown Flushing (Main St/Northern Blvd). It's easy making an appointment and she responds pretty quickly. There is a $30 deposit to hold your spot, but it gets deducted at the end of your service. She specializes in Japanese leafgel nails and they lasted me over a month without any lifting or discomfort. If you take a look at her Instagram, she is very talented and detail oriented in her craft and she's also very gentle. I've been to other nail salons where they drill too much to the point where your cuticles feel raw or bleed (which is why I don't get them done too often). I showed her a few of pictures of what I wanted and just let her do her thing. The whole service took about 2.5 hrs and I believe the total came out to be $110 (excluding tip). Overall, I highly recommend her and I'll definitely come back in the future. read more

My new favorite nails salon The artist is very professional, so I found the easiest way to get the best result is to tell her that style you are looking for, and let her get creative and improvise. That's how you get a one and only fabulous design. I am very satisfied with the outcome. Can't stop looking at them.... However, this place is by appointment only. Ting was amazing!! She was very detailed and made sure my nails looked great. I got the gel extension and she mentioned beforehand that there would be a burning sensation. I've gotten extensions before and knew what to expect but it's a great thing to tell clients beforehand. She was very thorough throughout the entire process and I absolutely love my nails! For the extensions and one color it ended up being $75 without tip! I will definitely be back for more!!!!! read more

Ting did an AMAZING job! If I could give her more stars I would! She's super knowledgeable, helpful and so careful with my nails. She helped me pick the right color because I wanted both of my ring fingers to have a design. The process takes a little over an hour but it's so worth it. It's just you and her during the appointment so it's super quiet unlike other nail places. She also has designs already made of you really can't choose. Thanks again Ting!!!!! Was introduce to ting by a friend, so glad I decided to go! She is so good and detailed and on time! Most of the nail stores I went to, even if I made an appointment for a certain time, I would still have to wait 20mins to 30mins, and the work is not necessarily good, it depends on which technician they assign you too. But ting does all the nails by herself so you are guaranteed it will turn out good! I am so happy with my nails, ting definitely got herself another regular ~ read more

It is my very first nail studio visited in the United States as I was not able to find a satisfied nail artist in the past 5 years. She really do understand the styles I want, and do know the trend of the nail fashion. She is creative and patient! I love the nail service here!!! And to be honestly, even though the price is a little bit expensive comparing to the nail service in China, it is very competitive in the US. read more

Keep my nails longer and visited Ting again. Love the design and detailed skills. Ting do it real quick which is in a professional way. She does not like those nail stylists who looks the nail art pictures you bring to the salon, instead she will ask what color theme you prefer and what special designs you expect. Then she will show her talent by finishing everything procedures just like everything has been painted well in her mind. And her design satisfied me every time. Her price is moderate compared to similar shops in downtown Flushing. read more

My first visit was in early July 2021 and it was amazing! The salon is conveniently located on Main Street in flushing and it's super clean. I had a Japanese gel set and my nails look great 2 weeks after. I will definitely return. read more
